Excellent scooter
As a mum of six I am a picky shopper. I was looking for a scooter that was good quality and stable for my accident prone 6 year old and came across the Maxi Micro. I decided to spend more than I intended for a scooter but have not been disappointed. All of my children fight over it and the older siblings are always trying to have a go. I have now bought 2 mini micros too. I wish though that I had bought a Maxi Micro (instead of the mini) for my tall three year old as its lowest adjusted height is close to the mini micro and it would have lasted until age 12. We are now just about to buy a second Maxi Micro.
Well built, good quality.
A little faster than we expected but this is a plus for my older children!

Great for kids at the park.
When at the park it is a great thing to take for the kids. They are very light, which is good!
They are also very safe for the kids, so no falls happen. My daughter and son both have one and they don't have any complaints about it, all they say is when can we ride our scooter.
It is very light to carry and safe.

Best present ever!!!!!!
Could I have bought my 4 yr old a better present for his birthday - NO WAY!!! Since we bought it he hasn't stopped riding it - in the house, outside, to bed, to anywhere it will take him. I have now just bought a second one for his brother as I cant stand the fighting anymore. Thanks guys for making me the best mum ever - as Riley woudl say BEST PRESENT EVER MUM!!!!!!!!
What a beautifully made scooter, great price for such great quality. Sturdy, non marking wheels, which is why i allow the boys to ride it inside (no marks on the timber floors). Give it a quick wipe from outside, perfect. The ease of purchase - free and quick delivery, gotta love that mums.

Great fun and perfect confidence builder!
We purchased a Maxi Micro scooter for our very cautious 4yo son recently. He lacked confidence and refused to get on a bike or scooter. He was not keen, but after only a few weeks he is scooting down the footpath ahead of me and loving it! We went over 3km today, and he did not once complain he was tired or wanted to be carried - he was having too much fun! (A group of older boys riding past commented on what a cool scooter he had - he was so proud, couldn't wipe the smile off his face!). He has learnt to 'lean to steer' and does so really well...Read more
, much sooner and easier than I expected. He has not yet mastered the brake, but that will come in time. The stability of the scooter made it so much easier for him to learn, as he can stand on it and there is no way it will tip over on him while he is trying to get his legs coordinated. Im just so pleased with the confidence he has gained since he got his scooter! In terms of colour, our son wanted black, but as we live in a hot climate we chose the lime green for him and so far it has stayed relatively cool. Our little girl who is only 19 months old absolutely loves her big brothers maxi micro, and is able to scoot herself along quite well, but hasn't got the hang of turning just yet. The maxi is light enough for her to maneuver around by herself, and she also loves to stand on it and be towed around. We have the handlebars at the lowest setting for our son, and she can just peer over it as she scoots along! Needless to say, we have decided that she will need a Micro Scooter of her own! (mum is even tempted to get one for herself) My husband was hesitant at first because of the price, but really likes it, and has even commented on the build quality! Thank you Micro, we are converts! Stable, safe, great communication and customer service, easy to use but still very cool!2 comments

Love our Maxi!
My 7 year old has just grown out of his Maxi Micro, and we're passing it down to the four year old! Her Mini Micro gets passed down in turn to the 2 year old! In fact, we've just purchased the Bullet Street Pro from the same company for the older child. They are all brilliant.
The Maxi Micro is hard wearing, having an energetic 7 year old who has ridden it almost daily for the last 3 years. I wouldnt say it looks new, it has various scratches from being bashed into things (doors, rocks, little sisters....) but it still rides beautifully. We...Read more
will replace the handgrips as one has slightly torn. It's very stable to ride, goes much faster than the Mini and lasts very well. We are a family that scrimps and saves just to get by, so this was a much thought about purchase, however one that i have never regretted. I expect to hand this down through the three children in years to come. Worth every cent. LOVE Micro scooters! Hard wearing, Replaceable parts, good service1 comment

Fantastic scooter
we recently purchased the Maxi Micro for our 4 year old and are so impressed! she loves it and the quality is far superior to any other scooters we looked at for her. It only took her an hour to get to grips with the turning and its great for her balance.

Love it!
We had a micro mini for our 2 year old and our 5 year old was always wanting to use it so when it was her birthday we didn't hesitate to buy her a maxi micro. She LOVES it and we now has 2 children obsessed with taking their scooters everywhere. It is definitely the best toy we have bought for our kids. I have had at least 10 people ask me where we got it from and am starting to see them everywhere. Now my 8 year old is counting down till her birthday when she will be getting her one. So easy for them to learn and the quality is outstanding!

Somewhat pricey by comparisons, but a very well engineered scooter
This is a review of the T-handle Maxi Micro, not the joystick-steer model. Early on here, I strongly recommend you have the kids wear a good helmet. These scooters can get quite a good speed on, and we have experienced 2 crashes to date !
The Maxi is about 30% larger and heavier than the very popular Mini Micro, and steers and brakes the same way. The main differences are that all parts are constructed more strongly, and that the height of the T-handle is adjustable.
This height adjustment is easy to use, and effective. The scooter also b...Read more
reaks down into 2 pieces just as the Mini does. Our 4 yr old grandson has a much used Mini Micro, and also handles the Maxi quite well. He is starting to want to steal it off his big sister. What they both like are the high quality wheel bearings, which "GO FAST" All the good things that have been said of the Mini are also true of this larger one, plus, it also features a metal reinforcing strip on the brake, which is a weak point of the Mini.Similar opinion? Maxi sized fun! And well worth the higher cost
Agree with everything the first reviewer stated. But would add that although this scooter is far more expensive than some brands, you will no doubt get many years of use out of it and it could easily be handed down to siblings. I wouldn't expect the same from cheaper brands.
This scooter can go very fast and a helmet (and padding) would be recommended. Also children (esp the younger ones) would best avoid inclines. This scooter is also equipped with a rear foot brake which kids seem to be able to get the hang of quickly. My child loves to...Read more
do sudden wheelie stops and has never had a problem. However, the very low profile also lowers the centre of gravity and keeps the scooter upright and stable. It is also very easy and safe for the child to step off if they feel they are going too fast. The steering mechanism - which is driven by the user leaning into the direction they wish to go makes for very steady turning. It does require hand steering which may be difficult for younger children. The scooter itself seems to be extremely durable and would suit the roughest kids.Similar opinion? Best seen so far!!!!
I was looking at a few model but none satisfy the built quality I wanted.
I found out about micro when we went to southbank water park.
A little girl gracefully scooted passed us on a 'mini' and her dad was walking not far behind her with a typical 'proud dad's smile'.
He gave me enough info to find this fantastic scooter.
After checking the scooter in a shop, I was a bit hesitant because of the price tag.
But, my 2.5 yo daughter (yes, a 'mini' for 2.5 yo) took off without any problem. I was having problem stopping her scooting in a busy shopping center.
That was a deal breaker for me. ...Read more
I didn't get the preschooler but went straight to the 'mini' because it is more sturdy and my 2.5 yo can handle it pretty well. After 5 months, she can handle the 'mini' pretty well and people always give us that curious look when we go to a park for a scoot. I must say, the 'mini' was the best toy I ever bought her. There are other technically superior design with this product such as wheels, material ergonomic etc. It is like a Porsche of an automobile. . . . If you currently considering to buy this product for your child, just go in a shop and see if your child likes it better than the others. Quality You get what you paid forSimilar opinion? Money well spent
We recently purchased a mini micro for our 19mth old daughter and she absolutely loves it! I also bought the o handle, which makes it the perfect height for her. It took her less than half a day to pick up the scooting action. She rides it every day and always need to know where her scooter is. The two wheels at the front make it so much easier for little ones to balance, and I'm sure she thinks she is wonderful and just like her big brothers when she rides it. The scooter is excellent quality and I would recommend it to anyone thinking about purchasing one. If the mini micro was the only thing our daughter had to play with, I'm sure she would be happy!
Good quality, good customer service, best buy, no batteries required!

Awesome!!
My son (5) rides his scooter to and from school everyday (with me quickly following behind!!)and I don't think there has been a day without a child or adult commenting on how "awesome that scooter is". So thanks for designing a scooter that makes my son feel like he has the best scooter in the world!!!

The Perfect Bribe
This is the toy that I use most as an incentive for my 4 year old son to behave. Every parent needs the perfect leverage tool for use against their child and when I am faced with a showdown just the mere threat of losing his beloved scooter for a few hours is enough incentive for my son to settle down every time. He simply loves it and in the three months that he has been riding his Maxi Micro confidence levels have soared.
Robust, ultra-modern, clever design, great balance and ride
Absolutely nothing- I would buy the Maxi Micro again

Perfect scooter for the kids! I need one for myself now.
We have a Maxi Micro for our 6 year old and she absolutely loves it. So much more safer than the other brands out there. I love it so much that I'm going to buy the Micro Kickboard Compact T-bar for myself after having a few goes on the Maxi (I know I'm too heavy than what's recommended and I shouldn't be fighting my 6 yr old over it either!)
Safe, safe and safe not to mention the great build quality!
None! That's how good they are

Very sturdy
When you see these for the first time you wonder how they can work - let alone be safe, but let me assure you they do both jobs extremely well !. Kids at school as young as 3 are using these and developing great balance and co-ordination skills - and then moving on to the more advanced models far earlier than other children. A great product that does what it says !
safe, reliable, sturdy
pricey, but you get what you pay for

Best scooter out!
We replaced our four years olds Mini Micro with the Maxi - They are of course quite similar, so the transition was easy. Mr four uses his scooter daily, we have done 7km rides effortlessly - The Maxi micro handles uneven surfaces very well absorbing shocks making a it a very easy ride. From Mr 4: " It makes me go super fast, like a rocket!". I expect that our Maxi Micro will take an absolute beating, and it the Mini micro is anything to go by then it will definitely handle the distance!
Hard wearing, easy to use, safe, parts are easily replaced, customisable.

Awesome!!!!
Although this is an expensive scooter, compared to some, this scooter is fantastic and well and truly worth the money. I have twin 4 year old girls, one (Miss B) has excellent gross motor skills and can climb, ride, scoot, you name it....the other (Miss A) really struggles and has found learning to ride a bike and scooter difficult. I got a maxi micro for Miss A thinking it would be more stable and fun, she was scooting and keeping up with her sister in no time! I was thrilled! When Miss B hijacked it and took off like a lunatic going up and down ramps - we got another one.....now they go everywhere on scooters and I'm thinking I need an adult one just to keep up!
stable, reliable, well made

I want to buy micro maxi for my 5yr old daughter. She rides her old scooter to school now. Just wondering if she can ride the maxi scooter on the footpath too as the surface is bit more rough than the cycling track in parks and elsewhere

Hi, My grandchildren rode their maxi scooters on gravel but they couldn't go as fast - depending on the gravel, it could be very slow. They also rode on our local footpaths which sometimes are not as smooth as could be. To be absolutely sure please go to the Micro Scooter website https://www.microscooters.com.au and ask the question. He may suggest one type of Micro Scooter over another. My four grandchildren LOVED their maxi scooters - One is 18 so she doesn't use her two wheeler very much, however, her younger brother or his friend use it while he or the friend use the Maxi. Hope this helps.

Hi Megs,
The Maxi Micro is a very robust and durable scooter that is built to last.
It can be ridden on a variety of surfaces, however as Grandmama stated in her response the different surfaces can affect the speeds at which you can travel.
The wheels of the Maxi Micro and all of our other scooters are made from high quality Italian sourced polyurethane (PU) which help absorb any lumps and bumps you may ride over to help create a smooth a ride as possible.
If you have any other questions or queries please don't hesitate to contact us direct at the link below:

I see the ages are for 5-12yo.
Our almost 3yo is already 103cm tall would he be tall enough for this scooter or should we go for the mini??
Thanks!!

Micro S.Micro Scooters
Hi Tabitha,
We recommend those ages as a guide - if your child is already a bit of a speed demon, and a bit taller, than go right ahead with the Maxi. If their balance isn't quite there yet, then you may want to look at the Mini Micro.
Thanks - Sean

My son is 3 in April and around 100cm, so he's tall for his age. Should we just get the most maxi micro instead of the mini? Please help!! We are looking for Christmas. Thank you in advance!

I think you should probably get a micro maxi rather than mini. I have 3 boys (9, 7 and 3). The older 2 have maxis and my little one (3 1/2)- who is not very tall, has a mini- he loves it but uses his older brother's maxis as well. It probably also depends on if you have other children or if you can hand down the mini to anyone? (As your son progresses to a maxi). If you are in that situation you could get a mini and he could use it for probably about a year before progressing to the maxi- then hand the mini down. I think most kids by 4 years would have outgrown the mini, particularly as your son is tall. I am sure he will love the scooter- can't get mine off them (even in the house!)
Just measured my littlest one (I had no idea!). 3 1/2 year old is 100 cm so same height as your Son.
