The best line and I can prove it.

published

I have used light tackle for years and trial and error has led to one of the few monofilament lines I will use. Many other lines would break unexpectedly but when tested in the hand they had seemed strong. This doesn't happen with Maxima. Why? Because the rough part of the spool your line comes on is on the outside NOT the inside AND where your new line now has minute cuts all along it's length when it was spooled. I saw one top Japanese brand line recently which had a ridiculous amount of large sharp mold ridges and put it back on the shelf immediately.
Maxima is supple yet strong, the best line you can buy IMO.

Just bought a 600 metre spool of 6lb Maxima Ultragreen, and happy to update my review that there are NO rough spots anywhere on the spool, inside or out. Well done Maxima. And I have caught some great fish too recently, not one bust off.

Maxima Ultragreen monofilament fishing line.

Maxima Ultragreen is my favourite Mono line. It is strong, ties well and seems to retain it's integrity better than a lot of line.It has one of the best low visibility factors in the rivers I fish for salmon in. Another favourite of mine from DAM is the Maxima Chameleon, I don't know if they still make it. It is a dark blood red colour and lasts a long time if stored out of sunlight, very abrasion resistant. I got some free from a retailer who had it so long he couldn't guarantee the strength .I have had no problem with it.
