Under rated tyre
These tyres are fitted to 2 of our cars
We had excellent performance with good grip in dry and wet conditions with the regulated speed limits on public roads
The noise is very low from these tyres
One set is fitted on my heavy chrysler sebring of 1995 kgs..Perfect..The pt sticks to the road..Both cars no slides..The maxxis is well priced and offers more,, I recommend them
Purchased in February 2021 for $500.00.

No real free "30 day satisfaction guarantee" - Read the fine print.
Purchased a set of HP5s from a Gippsland dealer November 2022. Less than 3 weeks later one tire had a puncher from something so small you could not see it.
This destroyed the tire as I didn't know it was flat for a few KMS (the joys of low profile).
Lucky? Had years without punchers with previous brand, this was naturally disappointing. I would have asked for the money back guarantee seeing as I had to pay for another tire with the owner bitching because a very nice staff member tried to get me cost on the 2nd tire. It seems the HP5s are n...Read more
ot particularity puncher resistant something I'd really like in a tire. This is nothing to do with the team store, they are between a rock and a hard place but selling heaps of Maxxis brand their supplier should be able to cut them some slack for the sake of the brand. I see from the site that the 30 day offers fine print is hidden on another page without "terms and conditions apply" (+ a $$ Charge) disclaimer from the main page.
Purchased in November 2021 for $700.00.

Do your research
Was going to buy Bridgestone Potenza tyres foy my Mitsubishi 380 but decided on these after reading the wheels tyre test 2017. For $95 each they offer excellent value as they are my first quality tyre. They are quieter than the Bridgestone ecopia's i had but they gave long milage. I have only travelled 1500km so will have to wait to see how they wear. At this early stage the car handles and feels safer, i mostly do country miles, so far im happy.
Purchased in July 2021 for $95.00.

Definitely worth getting these
I asked for a quote from local dealer here at Paget Discount Tyres & Batteries (Mackay, QLD) and Tim Heel, the Store Manager matched a quote I had from another major chain, and since I've been to Paget Discount Tyres & Batteries before, I went with them.
Tim sent me a PDF Brochure showing the Maxxis HP5s to win Wheels Magazine's Tyre of the Year 2017.
What struck me was the phenomenal Wet & Dry Braking Tests against other leading brands, and they were placed 1st on each test, which was of the utmost importance before "how long do they las...Read more
t?" In the tests, I saw the difference of 3.24 metres for the Dry Brake Test, between the Maxxis and last place, and each tyre was tested over 50 times all starting braking from 80 kmph. The Wet Brake test (the most important to me) was even better. It stopped 2.5 metres shorter than the 'average' tyre, and a staggering 4.6 m than the last placed tyre.1 comment

Top Tyre at lower price
This tyre is much cheaper than the top named tyres yet handles and grips like the best A rated in the wet and lives up to that rating - I even had a quick drive in snow and for a summer tyre it was very good.
This surpasses all other tyres I have had before - nice straight line stability on motorways - responsive around corners and bends - I have yet to see how long it last in terms of wear. It also has a reassuring strong side wall.

I cannot believe this has been already discontinued when it is SO good! I only hope this is mis information
Well maybe discontinued was False information?? They still seem to be available!
Tyre wear average I guess - down to 5.5/6mm at 9k miles on Medium size car Honda Jazz,
Ok at the price :)
The only slight negative thing I have to report after around 2 years with these tyres is fuel economy with 4 of them is possibly around 8% less good on a long journey - depending on speed and driving ... Read more
this is a ball park figure really... but it is just noticeable and I have calculated on a few known trips. Not a big price to pay for an otherwise great tyre.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

I don't really know this car, also I am in the UK - Look on the side walls for a size - eg 225 17 50 - then search online for the tyre in that size to get a price.
Wendy, I am sure you need to ask a store nearest to you on the price, as Geof777 said, look on the side walls of your current tyres (does not matter what brand you currently are using, all tyres have coding for rim size, width of tyre and a tyre 'rating') to get the size/rating and ring around locally near you. I am in Mackay, Qld, Australia, dunno where you are.

The 'Discontinued Tag' has now been removed from this item and placed on the MA-511's which these HP5's replaced. Thanks.
