Are these available in retail shops?

Hi Lynne, thank you for your enquiry. They are available exclusively through our website. What has led you on the search for a new quilt / what issues are you experiencing with your current quilt?
We now have a king size bed and king doona only just large enough. I would never buy a doona without feeling it etc. Thank you for your interest.
MicroCloud B.MicroCloud
Thank you Lynne. The super king size would be ideal with the extra drape. Our quilt is very popular because it is lightweight, breathable and regulates temperature well during all seasons. It is rated highly as you can see via Product Review and many luxury hotels select it to comfort their guests.

I don't have a dryer, so how do I dry it when I wash the quilt please?

Hi LindaH, we recommend taking to the local laundry and using their commercial quality machines to wash and tumble dry your quilt.

hi
i have a queen bed and like the doona to be tucked in all around so would i buy a queen or a king size doona.
thanks mandy

Hi Sandy, thank you for your enquiry. It somewhat depends on the depth of your mattress as to how much extra drape you need for it to be tucked in. But I feel the king quilt would be best option as they measure 240 width x 210cm length.
A queen mattress measures 153 width x 203cm length
Jennyasked
Hi, I have been reading your reviews which sound great. I am a 50 + menopausal woman with a cupboard full of quilts that are too hot and heavy for me. I currently sleep with only one blanket (a wonderful wool and alpaca blend that I purchased from the Creswick Mills here in Victoria) - at about 2am I wake up and feel a little cooler and would like a little more warmth (my husband has our quilt on all night - usually 2 layers which include my side) - what would you recommend. I have also just put a foam waffle mattress topper on our king bed (I brought it in from the caravan) that has had a positive effect in improving our nights sleep - sorry to sound so fussy, but a good nights sleep has been so intermittent over the last year.
Thanks,
Jenny

Hi Jenny, I only brought the Micro Cloud underlay. We love it...I understand the discomfort you are having during the night and this certainly delivers comfort. My husband suffers from sore shoulders and this has helped him. Wish you all the best.

Thanks Debbie

Hi Jenny, thank you for your review & thank you Debbie for your helpful answer. We certainly understand your struggle for a better nights sleep.
Our quilt is lightweight as we know that people do not like heavy quilts. The fibre-fill is very thermally efficient and allows air to circulate easily helping to ensure a well regulated temperature.
If you need just a little bit more warmth around the 2am mark, it may be a good idea keeping an extra blanket by the side of the bed and adding that if necessary.
It seems that you have created a solution to the bed comfort with your current topper. But as Debbie alluded to, our topper is super popular to create a more comfortable and soft sleep surface.

Does it only come in white? I live in Hallam Victoria.. Can you tell me the price and shipping fee?

I think so. I prefer quilt covers. We have a king and it fits perfectly. Love it. Had doonas and blankets etc and this by far the best.

I'm a very hot sleeper and worried when I saw the response from Sondheim in Brisbane. Do you feel hot from the doona?
1 answer
MicroCloud B.MicroCloud
Hi Janette, thank you for your question. We know that overheating during sleep is detrimental to the quality of sleep. Getting too hot leads to perspiring to cool down -- the body feels like it's going through a work-out rather than getting rest. When designing every item in our range, temperature control is a fundamental criteria. Our doona is lightweight, thermally efficient and breathable. All things combined allow for excellent temperature regulation and many customers use during all seasons. Considering the fact that you are a very hot sleeper, it would be helpful to discuss further by calling 1800 95 33 22

Is this quilt warm enough for Canberra's winter?
3 answers
I live in Southwest WA about the same latitude as Canberra and it is plenty warm enough in Winter here. I've used it in a room elsewhere that was down to 9 deg and was comfortable on top but the cold came up through the mattress so the topper would have been beneficial there.
Thanks :)
I live in Surfers and bought this Doona last year. Yes! I find it too hot for me and kick it off every night. I am going to sell on Gumtree. Damn! I wasted a lot of money.
Sondyasked
I live in Brisbane and am worried this quilt might be too warm. Anyone from Brisbane got one of these?
2 answers
I bought one and regret it. It's currently 22 degrees outside and about 24 inside (I have indoor thermometer) and the quilt is too hot and sweaty. I'll go back to pure cotton, wool or down like I've had before
MicroCloud B.MicroCloud
Hi Sondy,
its seems that the lighter weight MicroCloud quilt is very popular across many climates from the winter of Tassie to the more humid climes to the north. Wool is way too heavy for many and prickly feathers seem to shift around inside the quilt creating an uneven quilt . Pure down is mainly in really freezing conditions, but then again, it depends on insulation and heating of homes .
We are certainly really delighted with the feedback that we are receiving for the MicroCloud quilt.
Regards,
MicroCloud
Michael and Leanneasked
Is the quilt lofty/fluffy and does it stay in place within quilt covers? I'm on the hunt for a quilt that can withstand my husbands constant handling (he somehow gets the quilt bunched up inside the covers, argh!).
1 answer
It has enough rigidity from the sewn quilt pockets to stay in place in most cases. A label stating top/bottom or side would be handy to save getting the orientation wrong on the King size as the sizing isn't obvious when stuffing it into a cover.

The site doesn't state a price. What's a rough guideline?
3 answers
The invoice is filed but it was 4 quilts, 3xdouble, 1xqueen for $800 I think that was inc. p&p.
1x Queen quilt was roughly $200 which included a pillow and pillow protector, and postage and handling.

Hi microcloud customers, what's your opinion of the pillows etc now that you've had them a while and presumably washed them?
4 answers
Hi peppi, I haven't opened mine up yet... If it's anything like the doona i'd imagine it's good. I'll update my profile when I do open & use it.Current one I'm using is Elysian memory foam pillow( Harris scarf) which I love.
Thank you - much appreciated.
Their pillows are great but their quilts are rubbish

I am looking to buy a new doona to keep warm as winter is approaching / does anyone know what materials these quilts are made from? - Also what's the price range? - Cheers

Hi Brian, I found this info on the MicroCloud website:
MicroCloud™ ultra-soft hi-tech fibre fill
Machine washable & tumble dry tested
Hypoallergenic
HealthGuard treated to be anti-microbial and dust mite resistant
Contains no harmful substances as tested by the Oeko-Tex® Standard 100
No prickly feathers or animal contaminant; cruelty-free
Odourless
High thread count pure cotton Japara fabric
Impeccably detailed sewing finish: parallel twin stitching and piping
7 year guarantee – hotel quality
I can attest the quilt is very soft, warm and light-weight.
You will need to contact the company - just google MicroCloud for their contact details for pricing as they don't publish it on their website.
If you're going for the doona, why not also get a price for their mattress topper. I can guarantee you won't be sorry. It's truly like sleeping on a cloud. I actually look forward to going to bed just because of the topper.
Cheers.
Ok thanks - I will seriously consider buying the quilt - thanks again - cheers
Quilt feels like a cheap polyester quilt. It's most definitely not of a 5 star hotel quality. It feels terrible and makes cracking noises when you move. It sounds like a plastic bag. I'll be replacing mine very soon.
