Best scooters on the market
My 2 year old daughter was given one for her birthday and she LOVES it! We hardly ever use the pram anymore. We got ours from a great kids shop called CHALK in Melbourne were they seem to always be on sale. Couldn't recommend the scooter or the shop more highly.
Light, easy to steer and balance

2 year old loves it
We gave this to our son for his second birthday. Three months later and he's really getting good on it now - starting to use the break and doing little skids. The steering seems great and the wheels at the front seem ideal (back two wheels look so awkward). He really loves riding this so much! We paid extra for the neon because I expect he'll ride it quite hard.

Great but expensive!
Its a great scooter but the price would be prohibitive to most parents. Its the price of some bikes. I got mine for $119. I got it after reading the reviews of how easy they pick it up. Which I thought was a whole load of hoeey. Well I was wrong the reviewers were right. After 3rd use my daughter was using it well enough to go for short scoots. Hasn't worked out the lean steering yet, had a very very minor stack into the gutter didnt fall off but now she is hesitant to use it.
Good product excellent design well made easy to assemble. Compact for taking in the boot. Rolls well!!
Easy to assemble, easy to learn to scoot, smooth wheel action
Expensive wish it was at least $30 cheaper

Fantastic scooters
Fantastic scooters, all my kids have them. The scooters are tough and put up with a lot. They're light enough for the 2 year old to carry it and easy to fit in the car. Purchasing online was easy and the delivery fast, which was great because we were on a deadline of the birthday.

Quality Purchase
Bought 2 scooters in traffic light colours for grandchildren. One girl of 3.5 who struggles a little with physical things, took to the scooter and after 3 visits, can ride. The 2.2 year old boy who initially avoided it, is powering. Both yet to use brake - but they like them so much, that yesterday they had to go home in Mummy's car!
Compared to others looked at: easy to order, sturdy, better dynamics, wheels, reliable, inexpensive and expect to be durable.
Too early to tell with only having them for 4 weeks - hence the survey is very early in the life of the scooters!

Micro Scooters last for years & save $$$ in the long run
My 2 and 3 year olds both have Mini Micro Scooters. They are fantastic. The kids learnt to balance and lean to steer. They hardly make any noise. They're light to carry and the bar comes out so you can take them on holidays. Get one for your toddler!!! For the bigger kids, get the maxi micro scooter. we bought ours from wassco.com.au who delivered it for free.
quality, quiet, kids love it.

Micro scooter - 5 year old still loves
We purchased a mini micro when our son was two and when he turned five we tried to give a new two wheeler and he wasn't interested. He lives the micro because its so easy to ride at the skate park. It's so much better quality then the ones at Kmart.
Study, easy to learn, still uses it after three years

Excellent scooter
This scooter is the best I've seen, even my 1.5 year old can use it. I love how when you lean on handles the wheels turn to whichever way you want. The materials it's made with are top quality, the plastic has some flexibility so it sort of bends with you when you turn. Love it and so do my 2 children :-)
Easy to steer, the type of plastic isn't rigid so it's easy to manoeuvre

Fantastic Scooter for Younger Child
We bought this scooter for our 2nd son Christmas 2012. He was 22 months old. While he couldn't use it straight away, we started out by getting him to stand on it and we pushed him around so he would get the feel of it. By his 2nd birthday in February 2013, he was scooting on his own the ten minutes to preschool drop off and I would push him home. Now another 6 weeks on and he can go there and back on his own with competent balancing, steering and pushing.
He is yet to understand the brake and he is not quite steady enough to make tight turn...Read more
s, but the scooter is so smooth and easy to use and most importantly fun that we consider this to be one of the best kids "toys" we've bought. By comparison we bought our older son a cheap three wheel razor scooter when he was a similar age and he was well over three before he made any use of it at all. It was rough and bumpy to ride and we had many stacks. I wish we had bought the mini micro for him at that age - he is now old enough for a two wheel scooter and we've gone straight for a micro sprite! Easy of use, large smooth wheels. Expensive - but worth it!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Excellent investment
My 2yo daughter received one for xmas & absolutely loves it. she rides it so easily. I always receive comments that she has mastered riding a scooter but I think it has a lot to do with the excellent quality of it. it is so smooth & can go quite fast which is great when you want to go for a brisk walk. Invest in a micro mini not a cheap scooter

Great design!
Got for daughter (almost 4yrs) for Xmas - shes loves it, found it easy to ride. The Neon Orange is a great, fun colour. We are very pleased and have now ordered one for our 26 month old son, who also finds it very intuitive. Delivery and service was great. Will look to buy a bigger Micro scooter once they outgrow the Micro as the design and quality beats other brands.
The steer action is very intuitive and the kids take to it like a fish to water.

I should have shares in this company.
This is the third Scooter addition to our families collection, to date two Mini Micros, a Monster Bullet, Kick 3 seat and a Micro Back Pack. Personally I would love a Monster Kickboard but those greedy kicks keep swallowing up the budget. Awsome product that has never missed a beat and certainly draws alot of attention especially the Monster Bullet. My boys have developed amazing skills in a short amount of time from these Micro Scooters that will see them right as they graduate to more advanced toys.
You get what you pay for and these a quality and more important the kids love them and not just my kids.

Definitely the best!
Bought this as a Christmas gift for our 22 month old daughter. Excellent purchase - great quality scooter! We thought it may take her a month to get the hang of it, but it was more like a week and now she's zooming around like a pro! The scooter is very stable and the single wheel at the rear allows little feet to pass by without problem. Friends who had purchased other brands, although cheaper, found their kid's feet often bumped the back wheels as their scooters had the two wheels at the back instead. Also the 'lean and steer' design is f...Read more
ar superior to typical bicycle steering - don't waste your time or money on cheaper versions - this product will outperform and outlast them all! We also purchased the scoot'n'pull strap which comes in handy while out on footpaths - we can keep a hold if there is a road nearby or use it to slow her while going downhill until she gets more used to the rear wheel brake function, and of course there's also the towing uphills too! Excellent quality, design, style - well worth the money!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great quality toy to get littlies outside
A fantastic quality scooter. Our 3 yo daughter took to it like a fish to water. It took a lot of coaxing before she agreed to come inside for dinner after her first go on the scooter. All the kids in our Playgroup have one in different colours and it's a fun weekly "scoooting" event.
Great design and high quality wheels
The red scooter is more orange than red. Had I known that I would have got another colour!

Totally awesome my 20 month old loves it to death and even had to have one hand holding it whilst eating his dinner in fear someone else would touch it! Lol! Works great outside and inside on carpet too. Great Quality Product. Very Fast delivery too. Great range of colours available.
Perfect for smaller children still learning to balance.

Love it!
Bought one for our 1st born, and now our 2nd born at 2.5yrs rides it every day around the house and outside, actually, they both fight over it!! Have to get the bigger size for the eldest child, so no more fights. Needs a new back wheel though, as they have rode it that hard, a section has worn down, will be looking to replace that very soon. When our youngest gets bigger I think we will splurge and buy her, her own new mini micro, so she doesn't have to have 3rd handmedowns. Also we have the balance bike and that is well loved too!!

Smooth glide and easy steering makes this stand way above the rest.
Why is it that this scooter gets glowing reviews? What makes it better than the rest?
If you can access a store to give one a go then it is well worth it just to see how much scooter brands differ. You (well, your kid actually) will immediately notice the effortless steering and superior gliding that this top quality scooter gives. It makes other brands, even well known ones, seem junky and jerky. Our 7yo has been riding it for 4 years and our 2yo rides it easily, well before she could master pedals on a trike.

Best Scooter for young children
We bought two other brand of scooters, both having 3 wheels for our then 2.5 year old, they were cheap nasty and dangerous, so we went out and bought the mini micro and have not looked back. Our child found it easy to maneuver and use. It was well worth spending that little bit extra to buy this brand.
Everything, easy to use, premium quality and light weight

We bought two!
We bought both our girls a mini micro scooter. Our older girl (3years) got the hang of it really quickly, our 2 year old has taken a little longer to master the steering but now at 2.5 years is getting quite good. Would never bother with cheaper brands, as our kids grow we will invest in the larger scooters, well worth every cent.
Quality, sturdy, stable and easy to use.

Tanja M.asked
Hello,
I would like to buy a scooter for my 4 year old girl. She is 104 cm tall. Which one would you recommend? She wants to be able to move it and carry around by herself. Thank you! Tanja

Hi Tanja,
Thank you for your enquiry.
Currently she is best suited the Mini Micro Deluxe scooter. It is a very lightweight scooter weighing just 1.9 kg so will be easy for her to maneuver and carry, it uses a lean to steer principle which will help develop her balance and co-ordination skills as well as having an adjustable handle bar so you can set it to the most comfortable height for her.
Mini Micro Deluxe - https://www.microscooters.com.au/products/mini-micro-deluxe-scooter-purple
Given that she is 104 cm tall however it may not be too long before she out grows this scooter - it is suited for kids up to 110cm tall.
So you potentially may want to look at the the next model up which is the Maxi Micro. This scooter is designed for aged 5 - 12 (however there are younger kids out there that ride this model) and for kids 110cm tall and above.
It uses the same lean to steer principle and is just a bigger more robust version of the Mini.
It is a slightly heavier scooter at 2.6 kg but may be light enough for her to carry if needed.

Hi, thank you very much for your answer. So, you think micro mini classic is not a good option because it doesn't have an adjustable handle bar? I am thinking to get her maxi ehen she grows out of this small one.
Micro S.Micro Scooters
Hi Tanja,
You're very welcome. It's not that the Mini Classic isn't a good option, you just don't have the benefit of being able to adjust the height of the handle bar.
We actually no longer carry the Mini Classic in Australia as we have superseded it with the Deluxe version but there may still be some retailers out there that still have some.
Ah okay, that sounds like a good idea.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Jasmineasked
Would you recommend a mini micro deluxe or sporty edition for a small 3 yo? does the sport edition have an adjustable handlebar?
1 answer
Micro S.Micro Scooters
Hi Jasmine,
Thanks for your question.
For a small 3 year old out of the two options I would recommend the mini micro deluxe.
The adjustable handle bars give it a longer life cycle so that as he grows the height can be set to the perfect level.
The mini micro deluxe also has a silicon injected deck providing slightly more grip in comparison to the sporty.
The sporty also does not have the adjustable handle bars.
Hope that helps but any other question you may have please let me know at [email protected]

Hello. I am about to buy a scooter for my son. He is 2.5 and tall (97cm). Would you recommend the mini micro or the mini micro delux? He has never used a scooter before. Thank you
3 answers
We have the mini micro, delux wasn't available when I got mine. My son is 2.5 too now. I think the delux folds, but the Std clips apart easily anyway.
My son is short so the standard is fine for him even now at 5.
But I think for a tall child the adjustable stem would be great.
Micro S.Micro Scooters
Hi, thanks for your question.
Both the mini micro and the mini micro deluxe have a maximum handle bar height of 67cm and is recommended for children up to 110cm high.
The deluxe does have the ability to adjust the handle bar height as opposed the to mini micro so is great for growing children.
The deluxe also has a silicon injected deck which provides slighlty more grip and has an anodised metallic finish.
Both scooters use a lean to steer function which is a great way to develop balance and motor skills, and have high quality non marking polyurethane wheels.
They are both extremely light at 1.9kg so are perfect for the novice user to easily maneuver around.
With him being this height he may not need the adjustable handlebars, however the deluxe does give you the added features as mentioned above.
Hope that helps.
