Good small car but no power
This is a great car to drive but dont expect it to get you out of a problem. Sluggish on take off but with 2.0L Petrol Engine this is to be expected. Interior although comfortable is not luxurious at all. Legroom and Dash equipment is easy to read and sufficient. Not too bad on fuel. Have constant trouble with Suspension creaking and have been back to dealer but no issue located. All in all a "good" car but engine too small for its load.

WTF.
Fuel economy - perfect. I own a 2015.5 asx turbo diesel.
Bought brand new from suttons.
Faults are endless, the drivers front seat rocks and plays,
the drivers seat doesn't match with the steering wheel however its adjusted.
The passenger front side mirror blew up on its own and warranty doesnt cover it?!.
Poor cargo space, 1 pram and done.
Dashboard doesn't close right.
Unless its in 4WD mode the drive is flimsy around bends and corners.
The air conditioning vents cant be closed, you get airconditioning like it or not, on or off is your only option.
The skylight/sunroof is huge, the cars interior light is up the front, you have no lights in the rear, putting baby in the car after sunset is a mission everytime.

never Never Again, Do not buy a ASX.
Having owned many a motor car I am very Very dissatisfied with the asx. It was bought brand new a year and a half ago.
The heater function is very erratic. If u want to heat the cabin up just by a degree or two it goes from tepid to sauna, the air vent for your feet only blows on one foot on the drivers side.
Sunroof trim has fallen on my baby's empty carseat after it worked it's way loose.
The steering is lifeless.
The cruise control is very jerky when going up and down hills.
The doors do not auto lock on pullaway.

Excellent SUV
Now have the ASX for 18 months. I have the diesel which has Ove 45000 Klm's.
The asx has been excellent. Comfortable drive, plenty of power. 4wd drive when used is direct and no effect to performance.
The car is a bit low so it does restrict your ability to go off track.
Only problem we had which is superficial was the glove box did not close properly but fixed on warranty and the light where the roof retracts back continually rattles and the service people of Mitsubishi cannot or do not want to fix.
The car is great however there dealers...Read more
hip service departments are poor. I have taken mine to a couple in the hills and still to get the service done correctly. Too back the car twice after I found that they had not done what was on the service book. But that is fixed as I go to independent. Mechanic a bit more expensive but I get it done correctly so Mitsubishi discounted service is no good as they do not do it.

Love my mitsy
My second ASX in 3 years is now 10 months old and I have to say I just love it! Such a gutsy little thing if you open it up, don't be scared to use its grunt, the upgraded 18inch wheels so much better sits on the road and rolls along nicely. I love the ease of getting in and out and seating position is great for viewing and so easy to park and zip around the city

Best Car ever so far
Had an ASX LS MY15.5 automatic petrol model since 24-3-16 and so far has been a delight to drive. It has all the luxury features you could need and at great price. The next model up which is about $6000 more has in my opinion features you do not want or need particularly in North Queensland like a glass roof and heated seats etc.

This is a great vehicle, love it
As a previous Jeep Patriot owner, this vehicle is great. Better handling and comfort. This vehicle has more safety features then the jeep. We were lucky to get this one with all the extras fitted. Love the Diesel, great for long distance driving. Recent trip from Syd to Bne achieved and average of 6.5lt per 100km towing a standard trailer.
My partner and I love our Mitzy

2015 asx awd 2.2 diesel
Excellent off road with spacious interior for compact size. Its extremely well feature for level and cost of vehicle and I've found it very economical. It handle well for an suv and I've found mitsubshi after sales service very good better than many prestige marque's I've previously owned. 1st service is free haven't had any problems or issues and has been an excellent ownership experience to date

2nd review after 14 months of driving
After 14 months of driving this car, I never get bored. The looks and feel is almost the same, when I test drove this car. Had no major issues with this car. Great in fuel, good in long distance drive especially diesel. I will summarize the pros and cons here.
Pros:
- good driving position and forward visibility
- diesel engine have grunt especially in low rev.
- great fuel economy
- Good in an open highway (nice driving in regional road)
- easy to park
- Price point is strong. Value for the money. All basic features are present which can cost you more in other competitor.
-beautiful design, I am still attracted to other asx even though I'm driving one!

Great SUV
We bought it new and have now driven a couple of thousand km. the ride height is good and it drives very well.
Pros. Good on fuel
Steers well looks good, great visibility,
Cons. Slight body roll on hard corner, gear change down to low then needs a good kick to overtake, could do with a little more power.

Right car, Right Pri & Nothing tto Ask for More.
Excellent in Fuel Economy, Power Engine suffice Australia's Road Condition. Good Turning Radius, Ample Room Space. Right height with Good Vision. Comfort getting In & Out of Car. Perfect for Seniors. No head knocks with sufficient Head Clearance. Easy to Drive.
Except the back seats tension are little hard .
Nothing, to ask for with the best price in town. Satisfied & Happy. Look forward to the ASX Model in 2017.
Mitsubishi has done well this time. Keep it up.

After owning just about every kind of car including sports, hard tops, soft tops, large and small sedans, a small 8 seater van and even a classic mini I bought the ASX. After my third Barina I decided to get something wth a little bit more presence on the road. Canberra drivers are pushy and tailgate generally speaking, and I was getting tired of it.
This part of my plan has worked well. With it's tough look enhanced by large alloy wheels and daytime driving lights, drivers are somewhat reluctant to dart out in front of me like they used to ...Read more

r a windscreen replacement (not done by the dealer) just before I had to drive to a funeral in Melbourne. This was fixed immediately by the service manager without an appointment and for no charge. There have been a few recall notices, but I'm glad to get them, so that I know my car is always in the safest condition possible. A lot of people don't like the CVT and I've driven other CVTs and I know why, the CVT in the ASX is quiet and flawless. I've owned 30 new and used cars and this is the best one, with the best after sales service to boot.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Perfect size for a city SUV and comfort
This car drives better then our previous Lancer that we had, there is hardly any lag like we had before. The feeling for the road is much better and we feel more safer in this car. We purchased the XLS 2.0 Petrol, we found that having the glass roof top was not really a good thing as there is no map lighting for the rear only mood lighting lights which are not that bright. With this model where they improved the CVT the fuel efficiency is what it is claimed to be which is around the 7.4/100km, lower or higher depending on the drive. Has great ...Read more
space at the back to fit our dog as well as in the boot for our shopping. Even though the CX-3 Might look good it does not have the space like the ASX does. Setting up the GPS can be a bit of a bother though. As for service when buying the car, it took time as they didn't have our colour that we wanted and to push for price was hard until we said that we didn't want the car as at the time the price was a bit high. Other then that it's a great option between the Lancer and the Outlander.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Our Second ASX
Had a 2013 ASX and decided that we loved the Mitsi so much that we upgraded to a new 2015.5 Blue ASX. Great cars. Hope they keep making them, as it is easy to just keep upgrading to a later model. We received a good trade-in on last model and there was no high pressure sales tactics at the dealer we bought it from. The new one has more included features than the 2013 model. Highly recommended.

Love that car -- but
Wanting something bigger than my Lancer, I looked at the Outlander but found it too big for my single person needs, however the 2015 ASX XLS 2WD 2.0L petrol with all the bells and whistles was ideal, and at a far better price than other crossover SUVs. I researched the vehicle road-tests on-line and once I test drove it (a cheaper LS model) I was hooked.
The downside was the dealer, Australian Motors, lack of attention to detail and arrogance in not divulging a delivery delay in excess of 7 weeks until after I signed the contract. Refusing ...Read more
a $50 deposit and demanding $500, possibly so I didn’t walk away. The Finance Manager got everything wrong then was rude, and I was berated by the salesman for daring to contact the Stock Controller to locate my car after several weeks. She apparently exists in a rarefied atmosphere and is unapproachable. Overall an underwhelming experience, worthy of zero stars and one I shall never repeat nor recommend. Other negatives include -- Quoted labour rates of $110+/hour I thought were excessive and the need to chop a hole in the grill which looks awful, to fit a nudge bar, so I didn't bother The stupid el-cheapo space-saver spare wheel in a compartment large enough to take a full sized wheel (sold as an accessory) and the foam packing ring atop the narrow spare so the floor doesn't sag Poor vision out the rear window -- no wonder they fitted a reversing camera Silly and unnecessary 'mood' lighting around the glass roof at the expense of better technical extras ie; front parking sensors or park assist etc PLASTIC front mudguards, I never realised until after bringing it home -- The bonnet is the only metal panel in the front of the carSimilar opinion? Love my car
Bought my 2015 Mitsubishi ASX in February this year. After much research in my opinion was great value in comparison to similar models. Perfect for me and has the extra room when I have the grandies. Boot size is not massive but it allows me to carry large items with the seats down. Perfect for picking up small furniture items. Recently took it for a lengthy country drive. Handles beautifully even on the gravel roads and fuel consumption was better that my previous small 4 cylinder car. So far so good.

I Love my ASX
I love my Mitsubishi ASX (2015 model- Auto) it looks great inside and out. comfortable and has heaps of features for the price. Purchased this for towing a Jayco camper trailer - it tows well on the open road, but not a fan of any hills - with or without the camper (Thank god for the manual gear override ). Folding mirrors as you know if you have locked the car from a distance. however I needed to get this option disconnected as it has no override to stop this function and I needed to attach tow mirrors. (please note my jayco camper is one of t...Read more

Great car
Brought a MY15 Diesel 6speed auto ex Demo model(Blue color--looks good!) for my wife, got the front nudge bar installed and protection pack.Only had 1000km's on it. Runs great. Great economy getting ~6.5 L/100km around town real world when taking it easy, and slightly better on open roads. No issues so far and up to 2000km's on the ODO. Smooth to drive and will do a tiny burnout when the turbo kicks in if you boot it from a standing start!...

Good looking little SUV
Got my asx 6 months ago, 2.0L front wheel drive. I drive almost 60km everyday to work and back but only need to fill up petrol once every two weeks which I'm happy about it. Lovely interior, but it's a shame the touch screen doesn't support gps function… mine is 2015 model, love the alloy wheels and LED front light. Also cruise control helps a lot on saving petrol. Its a nice little city SUV, would recommend to my mates.

i have a ASX XB 1015
does the reversing camera have a beeping sound when reversing
mines not working or dosnt have one
can some one help
Thanks dianne

My 2012 model only beeps if it's getting too close to something (unlike a truck). I presume yours is the same.
As per above, there is no beeping when engaging reverse gear. The Park Distance Control (PDC) only beeps as you get closer to an obstacle behind you, the more it beeps, the closer your are to hitting something-if reverse camera is fitted, the red line means you should stop reversing.(solid beep)

Just brought a standard 2020 ASX. How do i turn the spotlights down the bottom on. Have upgraded from a 2014 model, can't find a button or switch anywhere.

If it's the same as my 2012 one, there should be a ring below the headlight controls on the right.
Before driving a new car, you should study the owners manual. I always go through it with a highlighter. There is potential danger in not knowing how your vehicle operates.
As per Catherine above, check on the right side stalk by the steering wheel. There should be a ring to rotate just before the actual light toggle switch

Hi guys, only had my car brand new for a month and it has just started locking itself about 30 seconds after I exit. It hasnt done this previously. Anyone know why? Thanks
3 answers
I have a 2022 black edition and have not had that problem...possibly ring the dealer service department where you purchased the vehicle and ask if this is normal on your model...
Don't worry yet. Check with your dealer. It could be an added extra feature. Many cars in Japan do that routinely as a safety precaution - same as the side mirrors closing when you lock and engines stopping when you stop at lights to save fuel. Be careful with latter - can use up your battery..
This should be a feature that you can disable. I think the doors automatically relock if the driver's door hasn't been opened within 30sec.

Just passed 30000km and it has proven to be a fantastic tourer. 13km/l great on cruise control.
Needs sheepskin thick seat covers for comfort and good thick floor mats to dampen road noise.
Adelaide to geelong on one tank is exceptional.
