My 2016 model ASX Bluetooth has suddenly stopped working. It has stopped putting out a signal for connection. My phone will not pick it up or anymore neither will any other phone for that matter. Is there anyway to reset it? I have read the owners manual, turned the car on/off, turned the audio system on/off and did the same to my phone and there’s still nothing.

How to fold rear seat in a asx 2016 to install seat cover?

Hi. If you asking about the backrest, there are knobs to depress by the seat belt guides on top of the backrest. Unclip the 2x outer seat belts from the guides, depress knobs and pull the seat back towards the front of the car. Do them individually as they are split 40/60.
THANKS.

I am having issues with my ASX it is a MY19 and when I hit 125 kms/hr up it continuosly beeps at me. Any ideas??? Assume it has something to do with the speedlimiter being set at 120 kms but I am not sure how to turn it off.

I've got an older ASX with out this function. May be a winter tyre warning set at 125km/h or speed limit warning that has been set. It will have to be deactivated or changed if not desired., I presume through the instrument binnacle screen. Scroll through the lists to find either vehicle settings or driver aids and then change the set limit. Possibly the new MY19 has moved this function on the centre dash screen
Thanks but I have been through the menu still not found it. Next time I am near Mitsubishi I will ask. Thanks anyway

I don't know what gear to use going down hill or uphill in my 2014 asx. I don't see D1 or D2 just a plus + and a minus - on the right hand side of the D. Or is it that the asx automatically does it when going up or downhill?
1 answer
You've got the CVT Automatic. Leave it in D to do its work unless you want to operate gears manually (+ to get to higher gears up to 6 or - to change down back to 1st. Car will automatically return to 1st gear when stopping, but you will need to move the gear leave towards the + as you pick up speed again). The + and - function only works when the lever is moved to the side from the D position. You can move to the +/- position anytime when driving or go back to D when driving.. I only use the +/- position and manually change gears when in a hurry, or you need to hold on to a gear going uphill or use engine breaking going down a steep hill. In automatic mode (D) the gearbox will try to get to 6th gear ASAP in order to reduce fuel consumption., so manual mode is more sporty. Move to P before switching of the car.
I have a 2015 ASX, keyless entry, push button start / stop. The electronic fob has a key in it. I took mechanical key out to see if it would lock/unlock doors of vehicle and nothing happens. Looking for an alternative to locking the car, so I can go for a surf without taking the electronic key fob into the ocean. I don't mind attaching the mechanical key to inside my wetsuit.
I even wrapped the electronic key fob in layers of aluminum foil, left it in car (which it does work to stop transmitting signal), then thought great I can use the mechanical key to lock & unlock the vehicle.
But nope, nothing??? I asked local Geelong dealer and they have no idea. Please help. Thanks
1 answer
The key only works in the driver's door - no other key-slots. It only works on the driver's door. The car won't lock with the remote fob in the vehicle (for safety/security reasons). If you can secure the remote fob safely out of the vehicle, you can (with the driver's door open), press the' lock all doors' button on the driver's door armrest, then close the driver's door and lock with the key.
Maybe try your foil shield on the fob plan, leave it in the vehicle and try what I have suggested.

Does XC model steering wheel fit and function in XA? I currently drive a 2011 ASX (XA), and the steering wheel is wearing out so i'm thinking about replacing it.
1 answer
It should fit, but XC and XA models may have different spec levels so all the functions on the wheel buttons may not be available. The 'new' wheel may have no airbag or a damaged one so unless you are buying a genuine new one from mitsubishi, not a breakers yard, you may be more than disappointed if you are involved in an accident.

Whilst driving my 2018 ASX, the radio and screen turned off... But then it restarted on its own.. Has anybody else had this issue ? and what can be done to rectify this ?
Thanks
I have had this car from brand new, purchasing it in January 2022

Might be a loose electrical radio connection (plug} behind the radio. If it does this on a bumpy road, most likely problem. An auto electrician or radio installer should be able to find the problem.
You can set the display to switch off (go blank), but the radio /audio source should still play. This wouldn't be a malfunction, but you say that the radio stopped as well, so I presume electrical fault.
I have been back to Mitsubishi for a service and they did some system updates on it . Since then I have had no issues, but they said if it happens again they will replace the whole unit .

Hi. I have a rattle in my ASX. Seems to be coming from the back. Is really noisy when I hit the high speeds on the highway. Any idea. I've had mechanics look at it. No luck. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
1 answer
Not possibly the exhaust vibrating at certain revs and knocking on chassis or other underbody parts. Maybe rev car slowly up in neutral till you get to highway revs and see if someone at rear of car can locate the rattle.

I want the radio stations to change from the control on the steering wheel but all that happens is it scans the next wave length. What is the trick? Ken Bell
2 answers
I am dying to know this too!
My ASX changes to the next stored radio station when using the L/R button on the steering wheel (Up/down changes volume). Maybe if yours is a new ASX, the stations haven't been stored as presets. I think that you need to scan all frequencies and then store the presets-unfortunately I don't know how this is done as mine are set, so I presume through the radio settings screen.

my ASX 2016 auto, consume 10.2l per 100 km city, is that normal, shall I get a diagnostis done?
4 answers
Sounds about right. Don't waste your money as you will be paying for what you don't need. If you are using E10 you will have a slightly higher consumption. Just keep the tyres inflated to the correct pressure, gentle on the pedal and service the car at the correct intervals.
Thanks for that. yesterday got 7.3 on freeway. mind at rest. have a good day mate.
I average 8.2 overall. Light on freeway and heavier in time. Yours sounds right.
