Hey. My car has just stopped locking today? I have only had it 3 months. It does not appear to have a flat battery on the remote. Lock is not on for automatic windows ? Can you guys help out?
If a door is ajar, it won't lock. Sometimes extremal interference may affect the transmitting of the signal from the remote to the car (happens a lot on the Toyota I've got).
Try the spare remote if y...
Also try the manual key lock on the drivers door handle, that may work? Is the main car battery still working, if that's gone flat, it would stop the locking? The previous answer re interference is al...
Read moreso a good answer, so check the issue from a different location.I have a 2022 Mitsubishi ASX XD ES ADAS that has made a clunking/knocking noise when braking at low speeds (most commonly when reversing) since the day I picked it up new. I’ve taken it to two service centers and they have both told me it is a ‘normal’ noise with ASX’s that comes from the brake calipers.
Does anyone else experience this noise as I find it hard to believe that it is normal for a new car. Thanks
Check the anti squeel pads, or get some of that brake paste put in. I have heard my pads click once or twice but no biggy.
Thanks for your reply.. but this is EVERY time you brake at low speed so it doesn’t seem right. Will look into your suggestions though. Thank you
Take another ASX from the dealer for a test drive to see if it happens in that car.
Older ASXs had a factory recall for brake calliper pins to be replaced (2014)
low beep sound from rear senors can you turn up or replace speaker to increase beep
I don't think so. The sound comes from a separate speaker/buzzer, part of the instruments.
As far as I'm aware, only the turn signals warning sound can be changed (older models)
THANKS THINK YOU ARE RIGHT
I am looking at purchasing a new ASX and was hoping someone who lives in a hot part of the country can tell me how effective the air conditioning is in pulling the temperature down in mid-summer. The reason I am asking is I have had a car with fairly weak air conditioning which was quite uncomfortable in summer.
My ASX is a 2011 model and during a hot day there is no where else I would rather be.
My model doesn't have air conditioning in the back seats so they don't feel it as much in the back but unsure if newer versions do ?
Thanks very much for the reply Shannon
Always drop your windows first to evacuate the hot air and crank the air con and then shut the windows. Helps cool it quicker.
My asx 2015 model lost power. I just put a new battery in it. It worked fine the next day, but now l can't even open it with my remote. So I open the door with the key, and put it in the ignition and still no power. Any suggestions thanks.
alternator
Auto electrician can check the charging rate, or buy one of those little gauges that plug into the cigarette lighter to check voltage.
Need to get a known good battery full recharged and then test charging current with a multimeter.
Charged battery should be holding just over 12v and across the battery when the motor is running shoul...
Hi, I have just bought a 2012 ASX, I’m trying to set up voice control, but every time i try it will tell me I’m in the wrong screen, anyone have any ideas of what I need to do? Thanks
If you have an owner's manual, follow the instructions exactly. There is probably just a simple step you are missing, assuming your model is fitted with this function.
I am looking for a used ASX but can't find the difference between the XB and the XC. Can anyone help me out? Thanks
Different generation of ASX. XB around 2012, XC around 2014 and so on (think they are on XE now with led lights etc).
Different tweaks to bumpers, lights, features and suspension etc. Still basically ...
We have had our 2013 ASX for 3 years, bought second hand. It makes very random dinging noises. We have had the mechanic have a look and check the computers etc. and he can't find anything wrong. No warning lights appear. Any ideas of what this could be please?
I suggest you take it to a Mitsubishi mechanic to check it out. They're more likely to have come across it before.
All alarms should be displayed on the info screen between the speedo and tachometer.
Do the normal warning get displayed on startup? (seat belt, routine maintenance, parking sensors etc)
if i put bags on passenger seat belt makes odd dinging sound as it thinks someone is in the seat
Does anyone know why the car would automatically lock itself with the keys inside the car. Normally you can’t lock it as it makes a warning sound that the keys are in there
Maybe something is blocking the transmitting of the key signal? Radio waves interference from around the area. Does this happen all the time at different locations?
Just got a 2018 model from the dealer the other day and the tailgate has started to unlocked itself while engine is on and car is in traffic. Mainly when I’m stopped. You hear the unlocks and pop of the tailgate. I don’t have the feature of automatic tailgate, I haven’t pressed anything. Basically the tailgate unlocks but doesn’t unlatch so the tailgate doesn’t fly open.
Anyone else had that issue?
Now, the tailgate won’t even open.
Taking back to dealer on Monday but interested to hear if anyone has had the same issue.
You should be covered by the warranty. Take it straight back to be fixed.
Never heard of it!
yeah, so interesting and bloody frustrating!
I’m assuming the lock mechanism is playing up.
How do i turn on the ASX 2022 interior boot light.
My model is 2012 so could be different. Check your user's guide. It is always of utmost importance to study your user's guide before you ever start driving your car. Keep your owner's manual in your glove box.
Should come on automatically if tailgate is opened. Globe not blown?
It is supposed to always turn on when the door is opened. If not, it is a globe or wiring issue.
When I unlock my 2015 ASX the strip light that turns on automatically at the front of the car is glitching as well as the light on the right hand side mirror as the mirrors extend. Sometimes it turns on sometimes it dosent. Is it just a fuse? Does anyone know how to fix this?
I'd be taking it to an auto-electrician.
If its a fuse (or fuses if they are not on the same circuit) that's blown, they won't work at all. Working intermittently suggests that the connections are loose somewhere and if on the same circuit,...
Read more I would presume that it's near the mirror cos it fold and opens. As per previous answer check it out or get an auti electrician to check as a loose wire can cause further problems.Thankyou so much. It must be loose somewhere as it stays on whilst driving but not when unlocking the car. I think its one for the auto electrician.
i have a ASX XB 1015
does the reversing camera have a beeping sound when reversing
mines not working or dosnt have one
can some one help
Thanks dianne
My 2012 model only beeps if it's getting too close to something (unlike a truck). I presume yours is the same.
As per above, there is no beeping when engaging reverse gear. The Park Distance Control (PDC) only beeps as you get closer to an obstacle behind you, the more it beeps, the closer your are to hitting ...
Read moresomething-if reverse camera is fitted, the red line means you should stop reversing.(solid beep)You can also disable the sensors on a switch on the lower dashboard between the steering wheel and the door. Maybe you have turned your switch off so the sensors don't beep.
Just brought a standard 2020 ASX. How do i turn the spotlights down the bottom on. Have upgraded from a 2014 model, can't find a button or switch anywhere.
If it's the same as my 2012 one, there should be a ring below the headlight controls on the right.
Before driving a new car, you should study the owners manual. I always go through it with a highlight...
As per Catherine above, check on the right side stalk by the steering wheel. There should be a ring to rotate just before the actual light toggle switch
