Great family car!
We haven't had any issues with our outlander. It's roomy and has a big boot. We have 2 large dogs who sit comfortably in the back.
Drives well and I love that it has an eco mode.
Easy to drive and park.
Enough room for the kids in the back so they're not squished in together.

Great family car.
We purchased the seven seater and love it. we've had it four years and never had any issues. It runs well and is fuel efficient and the capped servicing for three years is excellent. Only criticism is no air vents in the back or middle make for a fairly unpleasant trip if your in a hot climate and your in the back row.

good family SUV
The Mitsubishi Outlander looks schmick. But driving it reveals a bland SUV with not a trace of character. Okay, so it’s well-equipped and cheap to run, has a five-year warranty and doesn’t drink too much petrol; and for $44,000 you get a lot of features, such as leather-accented seats, powered tailgate, seven seats, and the sort of electronic driving aids you’d expect on a German cruiser. It represents good value for money but little else.
The Mitsubishi Outlander is not outlandish. Should it be? Well, the Honda Prelude wasn’t much of a prol...Read more
ogue and the Nissan Cedric wasn’t much of an entertainer. The reality is Mitsubishi will probably never build anything outlandish, now that it has just two cars left in its SUV-dominated range, the Mirage and Lancer – the latter unlikely to be replaced anytime soon. But that’s okay because although this car has no soul, that doesn’t mean you should strike it off your shopping list. Car buyers looking for a safe, reliable vehicle with low running costs often waltz into a Toyota dealership and pick the shape and size of car they want. It’s why Toyota has a massive 18 per cent market share in Australia.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Very good car, almost as good as the previous model
Driving nice, Performance OK,
But, the GPS is very bad in Australia, it doesn't have states, and some suburbs are not there and you never know which option to use at least in a capital cities; name of the capital or the name of a suburb. It also loses its way and goes around 3 times until you find yourself a better way. I use Google Maps instead, it's brilliant, while the option in with the car is useless expenditure.
I also wish it had a bigger fuel tank.

Turbo Diesel Outlander built on a Sunday!
We purchased two of these deisel Outlanders, 14 models, brand new. One car has been fine but mine has been a dud. Drama' so far on this uhummm car.
1. Aircon evaporator failed- 6 weeks to repair mid summer as Mitsubishi did not have the part in Australia.
2. Tyres chopping out..Alignments aplenty.
3. Loud clunking sound in motor like you would find in a beat up EH Holden with a loose tappit.... Warranty repair 2 weeks unable to locate issue.
4. Transmission failed..God knows what's wrong with it but it's back to warranty service.

ZK LS AWD Outlander: So far I am impressed
I often think car reviewers are a bit like the 'princess and the pea' fable. For me, the car has so far been great, the bluetooth was simple to pair (despite what professional reviews have said), the economy is excellent (as low as 6.9 on a country trip, around 8-9 in the city). Everything seems to work as it should and it can climb into and out of my farm. If I had to whine about anything it could be the panels seem thin but that could be the norm for modern cars (I buy a new one every 15 or so years). Compared to the competition I am pleased ...Read more
with both the vehicle and the dealership: Brisbane City Automotive. Blake the salesman was great + no pressure and lies like other dealerships). I hope to give a long term review of the car and see if the relationship with Mitsubishi blossoms or withers on the vine. Update 1\3\16 Best fuel consumption so far: 6.2l\100km coming down the range with light load. City driving starts out at 14 l but, as the city driving continues averages down to about 9.something...combined city\country averages 8.something so not bad for a big (ish) AWD. Will update it as things happen and after the first service. Update 17\9\16 Still going great, no hassles at all, no issues, no problems. First service completed, no issues found. Climbs out of my bush block without issue in 'high' 4wd (that's the eco 4wd setting, haven't had to use 'lock' mode yet. The remote doesn't work from long distances but not really an issue. All round a great car for the $ so far. Update 1\2\17 Still impressed with how much car I got for the dollars. It still has not missed a beat. It doesn't do any serious off-roading but it does regularly haul trailer loads up the range and down a steep dirt track that would stop a 2wd in the wet. IT only has a 4 cyl petrol engine but it hasn't lagged at all towing a loaded trailer. I have had it back for one factory recall (they reprogrammed the CVT with new code)...will get them to check it at next service because I'm feeling a slight lag on take off...might just be me though!. One design fault I've found is the display for the reversing camera can suffer from glare..needs an anti-glare finish on it. But, all in all, I am really happy with the car still.Purchased in January 2021.

An update on my outlander in the outback
Vehicle has now done 20,000 ks. Have to say the car is passable but has lots off build problems and road noise which Mitsubishi don't want to know about it. (correction Mitsubishi don't want to know about anything.) tried deadening the noise myself removed the center and rear seats didn't find much in the way of sound deadening, so installed some myself which helped a bit but it should have been there in the first place. Usually keep my cars for 5 years or more this but I doubt if I'll keep this one 12 months. The sales person wants me to updat...Read more
e to the latest version, he has now been reprogrammed into saying the latest version is the best outlander ever made, my reply was it's also the ugliest one ever made. Thanks but no thanks. Overall, the car has its good points diesel economy is good, air con can cope with hot conditions out west. Not so good is the lack of suspension control and the above-mentioned road / tyre noise. Mitsubishi Australia could listen to the customers a bit more and in turn Mitsubishi japan could take on board improving the vehicles for Australian conditions.Similar opinion?
