They have a website that does NOT track stock and they do not have phones.... Use only if they are the last resort! The general knowledge of the staff member (usually only one) is typically OK but their returns/customer service is universally awful!

I’ve been buying from here for some time and always found the former staff to be helpful. One of them has remained at the store and is still customer focused but the other gentlemen there just brushes me off every time and doesn’t recognize me at all even after 18 months. The sad thing was that the HDD I went to purchase was in stock and held for me, just went to collect it and it was sold, now that’s the third time this has occurred. Back to PC Case Gear for me, much better service!

i think its a waste of time driving to msy in fyshwick the service is not good there rude not very helpful with parts i always leave with no parts as i went there to buy parts as my son was building my gaming pc i had a list and the guy Tryed to tell me it would cost thousand dollars or more to build one when i know it don,t as my son had build my pc with Reasonible price and its fast of course the parts were not from msy

Bought a laptop from the shop. Case was in perfect condition but lighting behind screen broken out of the box. Took it back to the shop where they told me I must have damaged it and charged me $350 to fix it. Will never shop there again, they're not worth the risk.

I placed an online order and after over 24 hours from order confirmation, I was informed by a short anonymous email (which seems to be their approach) that they did not have the item (monitor) in stock in Fyshwick. There was no apology, no offer of an alternative monitor, no offer to source one from another store, nothing! Even when I asked about alternatives.

Then I notice 5 days later that they are listing the same monitor as "in stock" in Fyshwick as part of their Daily Deals. And still no offer to supply it to me, despite my confirmed order....

They may be cheap, but I would much rather pay a few extra $$$ (and it's usually not much) to buy from someone that will provide some level of customer service.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Bought a hdd. 3 months later stuffed. Took 4 weeks to tell me it will be replaced but 2 weeks after that still waiting. Despite being fined $200,000 in court for misleading customers on legal rights they are still breaching Australian Consumer Law by REFUSING to refund for faulty products which they are OBLIGATED to under the Australian Consumer Law Act 2011. Avoid avoid avoid MSY at all costs.

I've spent thousands of dollars at MSY over the years but after again having them send a damaged item back for repairs that take months, where under the ACCC guidelines they should be swapped or refunded, I will never again purchase anything from them. It's slightly cheaper but you make up for it in abhorrent wait times and terrible support should something fail.

Seriously, if you need customer service, go somewhere else. Msy margins are not big enough to pay for hand holding. Bought from them in Melbourne and canberra, and always known what to expect, and been very happy with the prices. Also like that they have a shop front so if I get a dud unit I can take it straight back (never needed to yet though). I still remember trekking out to their store in pascoe vale and the lines out the front if the shop on a Saturday morning! Keep up the good work msy.

MSY fyshwick are bloody hard to deal with.

To phone them you have to make a long distance call to a Sydney number ([censored word removed]). You then get placed on hold and after about 10 minutes you can leave a message which invariably goes unanswered or their phone system simply hangs up on you.

If you go into the store after say 16:00 be prepared to wait a while.

The staff are generally helpful but their management needs to hire more of them and revise the appalling phone system.

They have put on new staff recently which has improved over the counter service times.

I have bought from them several times without issue. They are the only internet-price PC store in the ACT, so are the only real option if you don't want to meet the 25%+ mark-up of the other places or wait a week or more for delivery and pay freight. Hence the queue can take a while but I'm usually out in 10 minutes (don't go at lunch time though). Could do with more staff - only ever one or two serving, though they're okay given how busy they are.

Bought a videocard, video card failed after 3 months, nothing but trouble trying to get a refund. Owner was rude.

Horrible service at Altona North store.Rude service.Would not refund an Asus laptop which had a faulty keyboard. Screen shuts down intermetently and I was told that it was my applications causing the fault.How terrible is that, I had only mc afee and office installed within 2 weeks.
The sent it to Asus for repair and I didn't hear from MSY for about a month. They are now planning a replacement which I believe will be another doggie deal.
I would never advise anyone to buy laptops from MSY. Stay away from them.

Was cheap, service always terrible, now creeping up all there prices. Horrible to support this style of store, we are turning into 3rd world country, bad vibes off the staff, only answer the phone once on a blue moon, zero service, have to line up to return something faulty, takes an hour, too hard in lunch break.

I bought a computer from them 19 months ago - fyshwick (ACT) - they replaced faulty cpu fan and fixed startup problem no problems (they didn't charge me, and I was fully prepared to pay) - very courteous over the phone. I couldn't be happier. When I bought I did not expect much service since their margins must be very thin given their low prices. On saturday morning people queue up outside their shop when it opens and there is generally a bit of good natured joking about the waiting times - but the rest of the operation is good.

I ordered a set of three sd cards from MSY. their shipping policy stated 1-2 business days, or 1-7 of regular post. It's now been 2 weeks, and still no sign. After calling customer support, who could barely speak english, I was told to just wait, it'll get there. The customer support rep couldnt even access my order to verify i'd payed etc, and she just said to contact my local store. My local store has not answered the phone all day. I won't be shopping with msy again.
