I love msy Holden Hill
Great service to buy a cable. It was the right one and we'll priced. Make a well known stationary outlet prices look like a scam.
I would recommend. Thanks guys.

Bad warranty service
Laptop warranty issue - local staff accused us of lying, would not listen and were very arrogant. Forced us to sign repair form under duress ( ie held laptop until we signed with inaccurate comments).

Great parts supplier and went above and beyond in service
I needed a decent fan solution for my CPU, which had previously burnt out two other fans, including the OEM one. The guys suggested a Coolermaster unit at $48, not only did it drop my temps by 50C, when I had some issues with it being harder to install than expected - the store manager fitted it personally.
For the other reviews on here, remember guys - they cop lots of newbs and all their questions which puts any mere mortal to the test - in my opinion they passed this time - with FLYING colours - I will be back!

Horrendous Service
The people on hire are extremely rude and arrogant, and I'm confused as to how do many MSY locations have this exact problem. They managed to find the top 1 percent of elitist pc gamers who believe that their choices are the only good ones. They are extremely unhelpful when you ask any kind of question, and they will avoid assisting you in any way unless it is absolutely necessary.

Poor customer service
I shop with MSY for years now and perhaps cheapest place to shop IT hardware. Only issue is their cheapeness comes with cheap customer service as well. Usually, cashiers men are rude and incoperative. They do not like when you ask a question. Just expect customer to say exact product model no and pay and runway from their shop.

Quit all your winging
It's no surprise all these bad experiences occur when amateurs buy from MSY. MSY is a wholesaler, they don't provide advice, their job is to provide cheap parts, that's all. I have been buying from MSY for over 10 years and I don't think I have ever needed to speak with service staff, except to pick up my order. I have saved thousands of dollars on computer parts and delivery charges by using MSY, and I only buy brand name computer parts. MSY are consistently the cheapest computer parts supplier in Australia. If you don't know what the bandwidth or core clock speed on a CPU means then you need to visit Harvey Norman. No sympathy here.

Abysmal Customer Service!
I knew exactly the part I wanted. I knew it was in stock. (I've dealt with MSY before!). I walked into the store. Only one person ahead of me. The assistant (to use the term loosely) was carrying out testing on a part that the first customer was trying to return. No acknowledgement of my presence...not eye contact, a smile, a greeting...nothing. He carries on testing. I stand by the counter for a while. I wander round. Look at stock. Stand by the counter again. Read posters. Check my phone. Wander around some more. Stand by the counter again. Then just walk out. I simply cannot reward that level of incompetence and rudeness! URGENT need of compulsory attendance at Customer Service 101 for Dummies!

No regard for customers
As others have said on this thread, MSY is good for its cheap prices. However, their service is so bad that it borders on the comical. Think 'Fawlty Towers' type service. I ordered a full computer package from them in August 2016, and stated that I wanted to use it for document editing, i.e. that great graphics were not needed as I wouldn't play games on it. They replied in a terse email that they'd put together a cheap enough package at around $1,000 and let me know on the day it was ready for pickup. I then asked if they could include a print...Read more
er, to which there was no reply. Around a week later, I get a text saying the computer has arrived in the store. After mentioning that I'd asked about a printer, the response was "We may never sell them again." I see. After being shown the bits and bobs, I took the computer package home. Little did I know that I was required to tell them that I wanted a computer package that was ready to be used. It turns out that they installed a reasonable graphics card, which I didn't mind, but the widescreen monitor had an HDMI inlet and a VGA inlet for the cable that connects the motherboard to the monitor. The motherboard had three outlets, VGA, DVI, and HDMI. The folks at MSY had probably not thought carefully about the package, or tested it, and had supplied me with a VGA to VGA cable, which did not provide any picture onscreen. So I rang them back and told them that the cable wasn't working and I had no picture. They literally laughed condescendingly and told me that they don't stock HDMI cables and I needed to get one myself ("It's not their responsibility to check compatibility of components"). When I asked which cable I needed to buy, the guy told me "HDMI probably, but I'm not sure." -Click- and then he hung up. So I went out to buy an HDMI cable from Kmart and plug it in. Still no picture. Then I rang Officeworks, and they were helpful. They said I'd most likely need an HDMI male to DVI male cable. So I went in and they were very polite and supportive. The HDMI to DVI cable indeed worked, and I can now see what I'm typing. The first order of business was to type up this review of MSY. In short, if you are looking for parts and know exactly what you want, then MSY are good for their prices. But if you don't know a lot about computers, or want people who care about their customers, then look elsewhere. I'd rather pay a bit extra and give my money to people who take a bit of pride in their business.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Ripped Off
Bought 2 supposedly HD5670 GPU's when building a system for my son years ago.Kept all boxes etc and recently found (more experienced now) I was sold HD4670's in 5670 boxes.A check with PassMark shows the performance of the cards I got was half of that paid for.Really pissed to have paid $300 to be ripped off.CHECK EVERYTHING IS WHAT YOU PAID FOR!!!!

Good parts but terrible customer service
I spent over $1200 at Msy and I got a few other computer parts from another online store and they refused to build it and they said it would take up to 3 weeks to build and test.......... so me and my mate built it ourselves and works wonderfully!! Not going back there again!! PC Case Gear I highly reccomend!! Oh and let's not forget how they don't smile at you, the guy I spoke to literally said. "What do you want" as his opening sentence..........

Terrible
Price is not the be all and end all --- customer "service and satisfaction" to me play a far more important role in repeated clientele!!!
Low pricing of most products
Call to the store in Holden Hill SA rarely get picked up and call to Adelaide city branch usually abrupt and rude comments such as "why don't you check our price list on the web" when in fact the item is not listed + I need to know more about what I'm buying ...too "user unfriendly" rather pay more for "real service" anytime.
