Hi Dorren,

Thanks for posting your query.

To set the date and time of your device, go to Settings > Time Zone. Once set, please take the device outside with a clear view of the sky for it to get a GPS signal. The date and time will automatically adjust once the unit acquires the GPS signal.

If your device still has incorrect date and time, this is likely related to the GPS rollover. Not to worry, we have a patch update to rectify the issue. An article is now available on our FAQ page below:

Hope this helps. Otherwise, feel free to email our support team at [email protected]

Hi Ian,

We are sorry to hear that you are having a trouble connecting your device to your Mac computer.

The first thing I would suggest is to perform a hard reset to the device by poking the reset hole on the back. Then, try to connect the device again.

If the problem persists, we recommend trying other USB cable and port, disable or lower down your firewall or if possible, try other computer.

Hope this helps. Otherwise, feel free to contact our support team on [email protected]

If you miss a turn, will Navman ask you to turn around if practicable or will it always take you around the block or nearest roundabout.
My Garmin seems to always take me around the block (or roundabout) even when out in the country, resulting in a huge diversion.

Does it matter where you download the maps? Will they automatically be transferred from wherever you download them to the Navman itself? How do you know they've gone to the right place and the Navman is updated?

1 answer
Navman
NavSupport A.Navman

Hi JJT,

No, it doesn't matter where the map files will be downloaded. The NavDesk software will always transfer the update automatically to your device.

To check if the latest maps are loaded on your unit, please follow the steps below:

1. Turn the GPS device on.
2. Select "Settings".
3. Go to "My Maps".
4. Select "Map Version".

Then it will display the version in the following format:
Australia or New Zealand
Core Mapping – v18.0954

Hope this helps.

my MY560LMT Navman one day tells me speed camera ahead but the next day same road and location nothing also when passing the red light cameras at the traffic light it says red light camera ahead, any idea why?

NavSupport A.Navman

Hi TOM,

Sorry for the delayed response. Let me assist you with your query.

If I may ask, do you have a destination set on the unit when this is happening? Please note that your GPS will try to guess which way you are going when there's no destination set. It means, your unit will also detect all the available alerts within its radius from your current location.

To avoid getting inaccurate alerts, please set a destination and make sure you have the latest software and map updates. You may refer to the link below for instructions on how to install updates:

https://www.navman.com.au/upload/map-installation/auto/main.html

Hope this solves the problem. Otherwise, don't hesitate to let us know. We'd be glad to assist you further.

Hi Tom
I see you received an answer from Navman Support. Mine has never done this at all. It warns of red light cameras at intersections even if they are mounted on the cross street from the one you are using.

Hello,
I was trying to update maps on my Navman MY560LMT but it doesn't download maps as i left it for hours to download. My internet is very good and it's just 471.39 MB but download progress is 0% i don't know why?

NavSupport A.Navman

Hi Surya,

Thanks for your query. It seems like the NavDesk software doesn’t have the correct path file for downloads. To fix the problem, please try changing the map file path location of NavDesk. You may refer to the steps below:

1. Connect your Navman to the computer and open NavDesk software.
2. Go to Device Updates. For Windows PC, Device Updates can be found under My Navman on the left-hand column.
3. Click ‘Change Path’ on the bottom and select a folder on your computer for the map downloads. We suggest selecting ‘downloads or documents’ folder on your computer.
4. Click Ok or Open to confirm.
5. Restart NavDesk and try updating the maps again.
