Hi! I have an MY670LMT and I was wondering if there are any other map schemes other that those installed. I have tried the brightness features on all of the maps and just find that they seem washed out and dull. I have just replaced my Garmin Nuvi from 2010 and its map scheme was much crisper and easier to read.
Having also migrated from a Garmin Nuvi, I agree that the MY670LMT map colours seem washed out and dull as you have described
Hi Geoff. I have played with most of the screens on my Navman and have found that the NAPIER setting is the best for my tired old eyes. I have the screen on full brightness for daytime and around ha...
Read morelf-way for night driving. Realise it's a personal thing but this is what suits me. Hope you find one that you like. Have recently completed 8 weeks driving around Ireland, Wales & Scotland and would have been lost (literally) without it. The only thing I disconnected was the speed camera warnings......told me there was a camera 200 metres ahead when we were in the middle of a bay ON A FERRY ?!?!? Only complaint since being back in Australia is it keeps on warning of railway crossings ahead.......sometimes where the crossing has been out of operation for years OR they are on adjacent (side) roads. Thanks Greg, I was leading towards the Napier selection. Certainly not as clear or crisp as the ten year old Garmin that I have just upgraded from.
Will you be bringing out 4x4 maps for this unit greY gps except u can't load 4x4?

Hi Horizon5116,
The MY670LMT has a 6''inch screen. I suggest adjusting the map schemes and screen brightness in the Settings. For screen brightness, go to Settings > Screen, and map schemes is under Map Display under Settings as well. ...

Navman Support TeamI've purchased a Navman my670lmt GPS unit & have installed Australian maps. The unit is supposed to have lifetime map updates but when I go to update, my model isn't listed. Also there are many speed limit errors, which I was hoping would be corrected with an update. One curious querk is, after you pass thru a speed camera intersection in tells you that there is another 30 Mtrs ahead but it is actually the one behind which I have just passed thru. Sorry for such a long question but I can't seem to connect with customer service. Any ideas?Glenn
Hi Glenn. Had the same trouble initially myself, seems the model was so new it wasn't listed. Used the Navman Help Desk (?) by email and they replied next day with a fix....can't remember what it was ...
Read morethough, something about using a number that was very close to the 670 ? Currently using it in Ireland & speed limit warnings are pretty near exact. Only thing was, l turned OFF the speed camera warning after it told me of one just ahead when l was on a bloody ferry in the middle of a bay.....just learnt NOT to speed, pretty hard over here anyway with narrow roads & limited vision around corners. Found the larger screen is great for my aging eyes & once you learn your way around the menu it's pretty easy to use although the screen can be a bit sensitive at times....might just be my fat fingers though. Good luck with itHi Glenn,
Thank you for purchasing a Navman. ...
Read more Nothing to worry about, your MY670LMT is indeed built-in with Lifetime Free Map Updates. Please refer to the link below on how to update your Navman properly: https://www.navman.com.au/upload/map-installation/auto/main.html There are several factors that may affect the speed alerts, these are GPS signal, speed, and location. The Navman also does not recognize if a new speed camera is in front or behind you, but recognizes you are in the vicinity. Try updating the device as it will help the unit to perform better.
