2013 DX 4x4 GU Series 9, diesel, 3lt, Manual. 160Km. I have never owned a Nissan before, and would never have contemplated one, however....after looking at Tritons, BT50's, Colorados, etc, I found the above vehicle in really good nick, I just don't know anything about them. Most of all 3lt motor for such a big bus?

How far does everyone's patrol get??
I have a 2009 3.0 TD Stock and I only get 600kms from the main tank, does anybody have and modifications that have improved their range

That sounds about right at 15ltrs per 100km. Ypu can get the injector control unit remapped to inccreaase the fuel efficiency but check the side effects as well. Most proffessional diesel places can assost wirh this
I have the Y16 3.0 diesel turbo and get just over 700klms per tank but not sure if my tank is bigger than yours
What is your tank size? How many K have you done. A good tune up could be beneficial. Check tyre pressure, too soft increases fuel consumption. Roof racks increase fuel consumption. More info required. Cheers, Hans

I have Patrol Y62 (2013) I can fill Fuel Tank with 90 L only (to be full) while as per manual Fuel Tank Capacity should be 140 L, any Idea about this issue ?

My Patrol is a 2017 ST diesel. Fuel tank capacity for diesel is 95L. sub tank is 32L. Fuel tank capacity Petrol is 95L sub tank is 40L. Does your vehicle have a sub tank? Long range fuel tanks are around 140L.(+). Guess your vehicle was not fitted with long range. My previous vehicle was fitted with long range.

Two fuel tank are applicable 40 L small one at back of car and 95 L at middle. I went to workshop he opened the small tank and ask me to go to fuel station to check if there is problem with small one .but it was ok. he couldnt know why only 90 ltr only.even at Nissan workshop they checked electrical parts and they said it's working properly and suppose to take 140 ltr. really strange.

Hi, I have a RXU3 96 patrol. Has done over 400,000 Kim's. Drove it the other day and after only a few Kim's it lost power quickly and had to crawl home in 2nd gear. Has only just happened in last few days. Any ideas on the cause would be appreciated. Steve

I have a 2013 Patrol with four speed auto. In cruise control as I drive up a hill in fourth gear it will change straight back to second and rev it's head of where as with cruise control of on the same hill it will only change back to third. Can the change in cruise be changed so it only changes back to third?

I have a 2005 STL Nissan Patrol Diesel. I got in the car the other day and it wouldn't start. NRMA came out and looked at it and hooked up the computer to it and couldn't find a fault. My mate also mechanic looked at it and hooked up computer and it still showed no problem. Originally we thought it may be dirty diesel but since found out is not. My mate (mechanic) has said two of the glow plugs are a bit on the iffy side but other two are ok. He thinks it may be the fuel injector pump. Has anyone else had a similar problem and found out it was something else? TIA!! Your advice and thoughts are highly appreciated.

The pump in early sd33 diesels will do this .Only cure recon pump
But be careful good reconstruction are 3000 dollars

Can there be a problem with odometer? Mine does some weird things like reading 40 klm less when I start it than when I got out The clock reads times like 1976 It tells me it had done 744000 klm but just not possible with it's history & reliable mechanic doesn't think so either for it's condition And if there is a problem how can it be fixed? Thanks Lesley

Make sure turbo pipes are tighten some time you loose power and feel like you have flat tyre if pipes are loose on turbo you can do at home just check if you see any oil around pipes than you need to tight em up

Hi hope someone can help has anyone has has change their standard exhaust to a3inch exhaust on Nissan Patrol 2006 we took it for drive it was all right until we got to 100kms and fully shout down

Most likely will be over-boosting and going into limp mode. The factory boost control struggles when you add a bigger exhaust to the mix. Go and invest in a boost gauge to monitor if it is spiking and Speak to a mechanic about installing a manual boost controller to stop this from happening.

i have a 2006 st patrol wagon its got 225000 ks is a 3lt turbo diesel it has an itermitent problem of a flat spot and only happens when wife drives it coming up out of our home town is a fairly long hill she comes up in 5th gear where i do it in fourth could it be a throttle positioning sensor or something eles any feedback is greatly appreiciated

Your best bet is to call your closest Nissan Dealer. Have your VIN (under the bonnet on a metal plaque) or your Number plate ready. They will then be able to look up your vehicle and let you know. There are range of Patrols that are needing the recall.
