Well The Poor Reviews Do Not Surprise Me
"It says focus on facts". Here are the facts. I have no idea who owns this brand at this point but they have gone from great 40 plus years ago to complete crap now and years before this. As an B.Comm. Graduate (many years ago), trust me that this (like many) company is just so endemic in the world now where ... well B.Comm (Accountant for example) graduate "crap" would exploit marketing to promote a product, make it really good then "crap" it for nothing but pure profit and the quality of the product gradually get worse and worse as they buy...
Read more cheaper and cheaper hoping that no one will realize and guess what...most do not. I only pointed out to a mate who always purchased them thinking they were good ol Aussie nuts but not 1 % are Aussie and they come from the cheapest place they can get them anywhere in the world. I am writing this review because after many years refusing to eat them, of course they keep getting cheaper and cheaper as more people realise how crap they are…they reduce the price. Well I am here to tell you that the beer nuts are even worse than they were many years ago. I never shop at Coles ONLY because my closest store is Woolly’s but a year or so ago, I found that Coles actually sell Aussie peanuts at an awesome price and OMG…you can tell the difference let alone avoiding the chemical crap that is used in third world countries and the appalling taste. Again only because of convenience, I travel to Coles to buy just the Aussie peanuts because Woolleys clearly do not give a crap, to buy the nuts and of course I complete my shopping there. Yes … sure a big rant but in this day and age if we can't use this Technical media to point this stuff out the it all is a waste of time. Whenever you shop for whatever Please look where it comes from and buy as much Aussie produce as you can even if not for the country…for your health… and I am one of those Accountant crap !!!Nobby’s Salted Peanuts
They are supposed to be salted. But the majority of nuts I purchase have the salt at the bottom. I shake them up but the salt still settles to the bottom. They just need a coating to retain the salt. I buy these nuts every shop. Some are fine but the majority have salt at the bottom.
Purchased in February 2022.
Very disappointed
I have eaten Nobby nuts for years but in the last 2 years every other packet I buy I have to dispose of. They are dry, not salted and tasteless.
They are still in date of best before.

Shame on you Nobbys
Gosh, I keep buying them but they’re just far too salty, I won’t be buying anymore. Disappointed as the peanuts themselves are nice and they’ve been a household name in our family for generations.

Too salty
I’ve looked all over to contact the company but failed. I buy 1-2 packets each week and have just purchased a pack with so much more salt than normal I think something has gone wrong
Purchased in December 2021 for $3.
Mixed nuts !
Purchased mixed but mostly peanuts. Buy regularly however, lately only 1 in every 3 or 4 packets have a good mixture. Included a sample photo. Could you review your packaging process?
Purchased in October 2021 for $5.

Grow some nuts, Nobby’s!
I’m so disappointed. I have been a huge fan of the Nobby’s brand of nuts for at least 40 years. They were always flavoursome with just the right amount of salt, oil and skins (in the beer nuts). Aldi brand nuts were dry with too little salt and lacked the flavour Nobby’s had.
Recently the quality of Nobby’s has stooped to the Aldi nuts level. They could actually be identical, truth be known, but the price of Nobby’s is still significantly higher. I don’t mind paying for a quality product, but unfortunately Nobby’s isn’t high enough quality any...
Disappointed in the lack of Australian content
I do agree with other comments. The taste and quality has dropped. Peanuts seem to have excessive salt to hid the poor flavour. And a shame that the contents are imported. I know times require tighter margins but many companies have survived and flourished because they stuck to their quality control and set standards that other companies strived for. The brand is respected but not the product and soon the brand will also lose the market support.

Too salty by far!
A few years ago nobbys nuts were the best, then they went through a bad faze. They improved slightly about 2022 and now they are so so so salty, you can't eat them. I mix them 50/50 with aldi peanuts which don't have enough salt. Come on nobby, get your nuts seen to.
Purchased in August 2021 at Coles for $3.50.
Where has Nobby's Nuts gone
Having eaten Nobby's nuts for over 50 years it is disgusting to read on the packet that less then 10% is Australia product. This proven out when you open the packet to find a mixture of dark brown to cream colored in the packet and the flavor matched the poor mixture. that will be the last packet i buy until someone can prove to me they have improved
Purchased in August 2021 at Woolworths.
Totally RS
Bought Nobby salted peanuts recently. To be objective and factual and non aggressive, well ok, they were completely inferior. They were once a good product but now they look awful and the taste matches. No more nibbling Nobby’s for us.

Are these nuts Chinese, Agentinian or just plain guano?
First bag of Nobby's Beer Nuts for years. Disgusted, they taste nothing like peanuts, and having tasted Chinese peanuts they could be twins. I think I will gather rabbit droppings, they should taste better!
Purchased in April 2021 at Woolworths for $297.
No good
Second bag of terrible Nobbys peanuts. The nuts look terrible and taste just as bad, it’s as if they are stale. Have always bought Nobbys but will now be looking for an alternatives.

Slowly getting worse
If the nuts tasted anything like those shown on the packet, they would be half decent. Unfortunately they are hard, dry and tasteless. False advertising. Will not be wasting my money on Nobby’s Nuts again.
Purchased in March 2021.
Questions & Answers
Why are salted peanuts these days - not just Nobby's I assure you - so dry? 50-60 years ago, when I was a child and acquired a taste/liking for peanuts (salted ones in particular) they were far more oily. Now it's far more difficult to find a packet (of any brand) that isn't dry. Why is this? Has government legislation got something to do with it? Can you buy more-oiled peanuts on the Internet?

They are not salted anymore. All the salt sits at the bottom of the packet. Yes the nuts are dry.
All that needs to be done is a little oil to attract the salt and the nuts would be perfect. They advertise salted nuts but they aren’t.
I’ve been so disappointed with Nobby nuts over the past two years or so. They are very dry and no oil either so the salt will not stick to the nuts. Won’t buy them anymore thrown out so many packets t...

Please can you tell me where Nobby's sources their peanuts? Where are they grown?
I just googled it, the peanuts are from Argentina which I find disgusting!
We grow peanuts in Australia.
I won't be buying Nobby's nuts anymore.
