Overall a good heater
I bought two of these recently and they have performed well. After some of the smell is burnt off which is normal, they turn on and heat quickly and silently. While the timer is good in the sense that it allows plenty of adjustment i.e. up to three individual heating time per day. I did find that it is a little finicky as the instructions are difficult to follow and the programming is not very user friendly. Also there is actually a firmware problem which doesn't display the correct time (to the next heating cycle) when it is after midnight...Read more
. I rang Noirot and they all but admitted the fault existed but they don't know how to fix it and everything else it fine so don't worry. I didn't much like that approach, shipping something where they know an error exisits where it would no doubt be fixable with a firmware update. However in all other respects it seems good. We got 2x at a good price ($350 ea) and with the lifetime warranty and sooth operation it seems good.Purchased in April 2021 at Harvey Norman Retail Stores - Appliances for A$350.00.

Excellent Heater
The second Noirot heater I've had in my life, gave the first one (had it for 12 years) to a relative and replaced it with this one with the timer. The 1st thing is they have a lifetime replacement warranty, so they are utterly reliable, secondly the thermostat and timer give you that great benefit of saving energy as you need to. Thirdly it's just so wondrfully quiet and finally it heats up nice and quick. Great heater, get one you'll never regret it.

Good stuff
It was a gift, yet bought with a discounted price. It has been so far so good in line of positive comments ( Product Review ). Recommended.
PS: I was told the purchase price was around $300 plus ( almost 50% of original price ). It's ideal for a bed room .

Has Pro's and Con,s
we have 4 Noirot heaters of different sizes, great little units that are silent and kick out plenty of heat. only down side is if you decide to remove the feet/wheels you cannot put them back on. this is realy the only down side as like i said they are great for bedrooms etc where no noise is required,

Hi There, You sure can put the wheels/casters back on. All you need is to put the black clip back in. If it broke during removal you can purchase replacement clips from us at https://www.noirot.com.au/castors/castor-clips

It's good and keeps warmer
It's mainly used in my son's bedroom, it warms up quickly. But you still feel hot if touching it while it's on. Also it's always warming while turning on at winter nights, though I have already set to a lower temperature, maybe because it's too cold outside in winter and it's when placed closed to window.

Very quiet and efficient with few drawbacks
I purchased this heater because of the life time warranty and the integrated timer. Very silent and provides effective heat distribution in the room.
However, this heater does not have a handle or slots for fingers to lift or move which is very cumbersome when the heater is hot. There is no "ON" indication lamp and the timer program will be lost when heater is switched off.
Removal of wheels once assembled is very difficult if you change your mind to wall mount it.

Running cost per hr
I wish to ask the running
cost per hr of the Noriot panel
heater 1500 kw. I have a Nono 2500kw and it is very economical . I bought the Noirot for another bedroom
3.5 x4.00 in size because it has heat outlet on front. I I also like the lifelong guarantee .
Many thanks
Mairead .

Fantastic design with some worrying aspects
I purchased the 1500 watt model around 6 months ago.
Firstly my positive comments:
NOISE. I asked the sales assistant for 'quiet'. He advised that there was only one choice, this Noirot. And he was correct. No thermostat click (unlike all other heaters I have come across), no creaking noises of expanding metal surfaces rubbing on each other (unlike my DeLonghy oil-filled), no fan noise (unlike my expensive but nice-looking Dyson AZ6). At last some genius has designed a quiet heater that doesn't disturb our sleep.
SPEED. It's fast. No l...Read more
ong wait that I associate with oil-filled. CONTROLS. Mine function perfectly although I see some reviewer has had problems. I like the simplicity of these controls; no operator-guide required to set the heater ON and adjust the temperature.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Power cord restraint
The power cord connects internally with two spade type terminals. There appears to be no cord clamping device or restrain. If there is any restrain it is not very good and it is possible to pull the cord from the heater with the exposed spade terminals (which can be alive).
As an Electrical Engineer I consider the product to be a potential hazard.

Perfect for our babies room
We think this heater is great, yes it has ugly wheels but it is also wall mountable so you xan do away with the wheels. In all other respects this is a great heater snd here are some of the reasons;
- it is super quiet, can't hear any noise at all
- won't burn if touched, yes it is hot to touch but not hot enough to burn (although we have not set it above 22 degrees)
- takes the chill out of a room really quickly. I turn it on when I take my baby to bath and by the time she has finished her bath the room is a nice temperature
- the thermo...Read more

Perfect heater for babies room
We wanted a silent heater. One that wouldn't creak & make a lot of noise as it heats up & cools down. We also wanted a heater that wouldn't dry out the air in the room too much. The Noirot Spot Plus has been perfect! It heats up our babies room quite quickly (much faster than an oil heater) and is absolutely silent. The room stays a nice heat for awhile after you turn it off & the timer is a nice feature but I haven't used it yet. I'm actually going to get a Heatermate plug for her room so the heater will turn on & off once it reaches a certain temperature so I probably wouldn't bother with the timer option if i had my time over. Yes it's quite expensive but the life time warranty makes up for it. Other than that it's fabulous.

Update on broken down heater.
Update on my broken down 2400w heater. Well, I took it back to the place of purchase and it was replaced immediately. So good service on that side of things. However, I must point out the cost of running them are much higher than I have been led to believe by Noriot in their advertising. I had bought two heaters the 2400w and 1550w they are both have the timer and temp. control. As reading reviews from others about having their temp. set too high may have been the cause of their electricity bill doubling. So I made a point of only having ...Read more
the temp. set between 20 and 22 degrees. To my surprise our electricity bill nearly doubled, but our gas bill dropped as we didn't use the central heating as much. When I compared the rise in cost of running Noriots and the drop in the running of gas from previous bills and from the same time last year the, I'm afraid it doesn't look good for the Noriot heaters. Just my experience, we have also decided not to use them as much as we have. Heats up rooms well, but does struggle on those really cold days. Expensive to run from my experience.Similar opinion? Fantastic heater!
I did a lot of research before purchasing one of these (1500w with timer). The heat output is great in our bedroom and it doesn't take long before it's heated the room up and turned itself off. It's absolutely silent and we've set the timer so it comes on before we wake up. I'm so happy with it that 2 weeks on I've ordered another one for another bedroom. Personally, I think the price is worth it considering the unusual length of the warranty. I haven't had any problems with the castors as some people have mentioned but that's a minor concern s...Read more
ince it's covered under warranty anyway (one of the feet on a heater I bought last year of another brand has already snapped off and it's now out of warranty!). We've just had our house properly insulated too which helps keep the heat in. I've noticed the heater turning itself off a lot more than on. You wouldn't want to get this thinking it's going to heat a whole house (which is why I'm getting another one) but the heat for a room is brilliant and it's nice to stand in front of and warm yourself when you get out of the shower (just by turning the dial up a fraction). There are some really good online prices too at the moment. Much cheaper than retail stores and only 2 days to deliver! BTW, I have nothing to do with Noirot...this is the first review I've written about a product and it's only because I'm so happy with it. Great heat, timer function is very convenient, silent, thermostat works well, lifetime warranty.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Hi, I have set my heater to 18 degrees but as the room heats the baby monitor says the temp goes up to 23 degrees. What could be happening?

I have a Noirot Spot Plus with Digital Timer and I set it at 16.5 in my baby's room. It heated the room to 18 degrees, 3 hours later it was 20 degrees so I reduced it to 16 degrees. 6 hours after that it was 24.7 degrees in his room which is very dangerous for a baby. I thought these heaters maintained the temperature. Why does it say 16 degrees and continue to heat past that point?

Hi Katie, could you please call us on (03) 9563 2778 and can help resolve the issue.
That does not sound very good. I have no advice. I've never used my timer function so do not know how well it works.
We have the same issue, we set it at 19.5 and it keeps heating to 22.5. If we turn it off and then on again it doesn’t continue to heat until the temp drops but if it is left on it doesn’t seem to cut out at 19.5
