Why does the blade for the smoothie cups no longer engage properly? Is this a common probelm? This is very frustrating.

Does this blender crush ice really well?
1 answer
Yes. Pretty well. It works better if its a mix rather than just ice alone. Shame this item isn't available any more. The new model comes with less extras.

Where could I buy the bowl only as the one I bought was smashed in transit and they replaced it with a second hand used one, however this is supposed to be a Christmas gift for my and I prefer a new one. Thank you for your time.

Have you tried ebay or the company themselves, that would be the only options I can think of.
Thanks Steve but l have tried ebay and although l purchased the product through them they were not helpful at all. Also l have tried the company but as yet no success. Thanks for your reply.
You can't buy the bowl for the older style. Nutri Ninja changed the bowl design "slightly" around August/September 2018. I know because I was sent the new designed one and it does not engage properly. I was on a Wait List for the old design bowl, for 3 months, and was happy to wait. But they decided to cancel my order and refund me.
Mann & Noble accept no responsibility for their products. I recommend buying another brand.

Does this blender allow for hot blending? Such as soups etc.
1 answer
The instruction booklet says not to blend hot liquids and I have read some stories about mishaps when trying to blend these. My advise would be to use a stick blender for any hot food and keep the Ninja for cold things.

I have the Auto IQ, truthfully the more I've used it the less impressed I am. It is so noisy, still quite lumpy and difficult to locate the jug part to the blender, so that it usually leaks and is messy to clean up. In hindsight it would have been better to have bought the basic Ninja or gone for another make. Maybe I just expected too much after all the advertising. Hope that helps.
I don't know what a duo with Auto IQ is, but I have The Auto IQ it is 1000 watts, which is very powerful, a vitamix is 1200 watts and is $895. The Auto IQ is a quarter of the price ! I double blend all my smoothies to make them extra smooth, it is noisy but works extremely well, never lumpy, just block your ears!
check out froothie.com.au bought my boyfriend the optimum (it was $460) but if i was you I would spend more and get something that is going to work properly. We made a 'smoothie' with tomato carrot chard capsicum spinach and it blended it through to a juice. no lumps, easy to drink and get your veggie intake. it is loud though but its powerful so its not going to make no noise.

I contacted Brand Developer on the 1800 number. First operator took my number and said someone would call me back. 2 hours later I get the call back and after explaining what I wanted- second operator transferred me to customer service. After speaking to customer service (3rd operator) they told me to call the 1800 Brand Developer number. I was going round in circles. After explaining that I have initially contacted that number and it brought me to where I was- the 3rd operator took my number with a promise to call back. Have not heard back from them since. And also like to mentioned I tried this process twice now all within 2 weeks. Exactly the same response both times.
