Solar installation not recommended

The solar installation was done professionally but they never notified united energy of the installation. Unfortunately AGL can’t process anything until they are notified. I was assured after reading previous bad reviews about this that they have fixed their processes. I guess taking their word for it wasn’t a wise decision

Professional, efficient, friendly, considerate

An excellent result from the professional team at O'Brien's Glass in the replacement of all windows and balcony doors. I cannot praise them highly enough.. they went above and beyond in making a stressful situation for me go so smoothly. Thanks especially to Wally and Dave.

Crap service

Do not use them terrible rude customer service damage your car and try and deny it. Kia got them with video evidence. Use at your own risk. Had to have a bran new dash in a bran new car. Terrible company.

Very bad service including telling fibs

We were told that it was not possible to replace the glass that was there as one unit due to regulations and installed two pieces but there were other suppliers that said they could do in one piece. That also took 4 months to replace the wrong glass and now we are waiting again for the correct size. They also broke our reception cabinet and we are still waiting for that to be fixed. Do not recommend them.

These people broke my car

I went to the Tullamrine branch on 21/08 to replace my windscreen, the job number is J14166579. They didn’t precisely installed the new windscreen, its position is lower than where it should be. And because of this the wiper cowl got pushed down and cracked at the two ends, left and right. I argued this and they tried to disavow by saying the cracks are not caused by them. I got really angry and finally they said they can't do anything about it. They could order a part to fix my car, or could give me a refund so I can fix my car at somewhere else, what do they mean they can't do anything?? Advertisement doesn’t reflect their quality and altitude, don’t use their service.

Great Customer Service and attention to detail

After spending some months perusing a replacement rear windscreen, Windscreen' O'Brien carefully and with significant technical expertise removed then installed the new windscreen under complex installation requirements. The complex installation required photographs to ensure the rear door central locking reassembly would go back together without undue delays

Took the money, never showed up

Booked in for a stone chip repair. Said they would be out between 2pm and 5pm. Great! Credit card payment in advance (mistake). Now 6:30 pm and no sign of them. They have a phone number and email but no contact. After lengthy hold on their 24/7 number they have rebooked in 5 days time. Will never use again.

4 months and still no windscreen replacement

The call centre has no idea about what's going on and never call you back when they promise to. I have been told the delay is with the dealer waiting for calibration and then the glass isn't even in Australia yet. Still no glass 4 months on.

Over priced

Stupidly, I booked O'Brien's Glass without doing any research or comparative quotes. After booking in for a windscreen and wiperblade replacement fitted for $870 I thought to myself " that's a bit dear for what I remember a replacement costs". I looked around and found a competitor to be less than half of the initial quote given by O'Brien's. I was embarrassed I'd blindly booked this in without gaining a quote first. Upon cancellation of the service they sheeply offered a $195 discount!

O’Brien, why don’t you be honest and transparent and change your policy about telling customers about installing after market windscreens? Why should we have to specifically ask you for a genuine one that is covered by our insurance? How are we supposed to know about aftermarket ones if you don’t let us know??? Are the insurance companies paying you bonuses?? That would be an interesting investigation! And stop telling us about how your aftermarket ones are the same quality, can’t you tell from all the feedback they are not!!! Another deceived customer, with an aftermarket screen that is so distorted and not sealed properly!!!

O’Brien recommended to replace my Mazda windscreen and said everything is covered part of my insurance. I was very happy and said yes. But they didn’t tell me it would be a aftermarket xyg glass. I realised this after one of the car repairer pointed to me by saying this is a aftermarket windscreen.
I think I have been cheated by O’Brien by hiding the fact to me.
Don’t you think now O’Brien should replace my windscreen to genuine Mazda free of cost for not telling me the replacement windscreen is not going to be genuine Mazda?
If not to whom I can escalate this?

Hey SNP I agree very deceptive. Going thru a similar issue!! Got a generic Chinese import instead of genuine Skoda windscreen. Was told I needed to ask for that. Chinese one cost $894 and all distorted and not sealed properly as wind coming in! Cate
