Absolutely love it!
I was searching for a good quality blender to make nicecream, smoothies, hummus etc, but wasn't willing to spend $1000 on a vitamix. I stumbled accross this omniblend blender and have not been disappointed! I've had it for 10 months and it works a dream!
I've broken the tamper twice but that was my fault because i used it without the lid on. When i ordered replacements, they arrived within two days!!
I absolutely love my blender and would definitely recommend it to someone looking to buy a strong durable blender (and still be able to pay for your mortage!)

Powerful unit
This crushes ice with ease, it has a handy variable speed function. The plastic is durable and is not prone so much to scratching (washed in warm soapy water with a cloth). The base is firm and steady and does not jump around. It is a little bit noisy, yet I was able to do the crushing in about ten seconds, so it was short lived.

Best purchase i have ever made.
I purchased this blender 4 years ago and it is still going STRONG. I use it mostly everyday to make smoothies, it is powerful enough to make nut butters (with patience) and to blitz up solid ingredients. The the price point i think it is excellent and i have no regrets making this purchase. I highly recommend this product.

Consistent workhorse of a blender at a great price!
I've used blenders daily for well over 10 years and in that time we mainly purchased 'no name brand' commercial blenders (that have performed a decent job). After the last one died we decided to get a better quality blender but without paying the premium price of a vitamix. The OmniBlend kept coming up with strong reviews and the price point was excellent. So far, so good! Blender gets plenty of use each day and I find that its less noisy than the cheaper ones, but also noticed that it takes a little longer to fully blend and homogenize the ing...Read more
redients. But, at the same time, it makes a smoother blend (timing is key...allow longer if you find mixture is not smooth enough). Functions are simple to use (we have the twist dial as its what we were use to). The blade performs better because of design, and based on reviews allows it to rival the vitamix (tho I've not had the opportunity to test and compare for myself). We use for green smoothies (often with tougher greens like kale and herbs) and we blend nuts regularly for milks and nut creams (its the latter that will become perfectly smooth if you allow for extra time). It also does a decent job at making a powdered consistency of ingredients (like flours or sugars or spices). Te accompanying recipe books were a nice addition tooSimilar opinion? A capable blender
I purchased the OmniBlend 1 to replace a similarly powered blender that developed an electrical fault. It has proved to be capable and reliable. Has the power to blend frozen food.
I compared three blenders when looking at the purchase, the VitaMix and a Optimum. In the end the cost of the other two was the deciding factor given all the reviews on performance.
There are some downsides to the model I got, but not big and can be lived with. These being:
Full rpm is not that fast, this means it doesn't pulverize things as well as my pre...Read more

Reliable and strong
I use the blender mainly for smoothies and minor jobs........yet to put it into action. I like the idea of making 'raw' soups with the slightest of heating by the machine. I have no doubt this machine will perform, which is why I bought it. It's easy to use, easy to clean but I must remember to screw the blade on tight! Liquid leaks out otherwise.

it's ok thanks to the plastic thing you put in the top
i've had this machine for maybe a year and a half (not sure exactly when i bought it). so far two parts have had to be replaced on it. mostly i blend frozen bananas or mangoes (chopped up with some water or juice added) and smoothies in it. i had a philips blender before this which only cost me $95 at harvey norman (which i've also reviewed) and i have to say that the philips actually blended better by itself than this one does. it seems that the design of the blades on this one aren't actually optimum compared to the philips i was using. but ...Read more
the only thing that helps this one blend the food ok is using that plastic thing you stick in the top to mix the contents around. without using that, it just doesn't blend the frozen fruit ice creams on their own (even with previously chopping the frozen fruit and adding quite a bit of liquid). although two parts have been replaced on it and i've had it for well over a year, this blender still regularly gets a burning electrical smell, even when blending smoothies if i leave it on for a bit longer. i never use the machine on full speed - i probably only use it on low to medium speed mostly. and it seems to still really have a horrible grinding sound in it and it vibrates over my kitchen bench. the good thing about it is that it has a 5 year warrenty - so i tolerate what i consider to be fairly sub-optimal performance because in the end, it does get the job done with some "elbow grease" using the plastic mixer thing you stick in the top and if there are issues, the company is good at sending replacement parts. i tried to see if this loud grinding sound and vibration of the machine is normal by searching for youtube videos on them. but in the videos i found, they hold the machine while they are blending so i can't tell from those videos i've seen if that's normal.1 comment

Great powerful blender - excellent value
I use my blender every day for smoothies and many other chopping and grinding jobs in the kitchen. It is really powerful and very easy to clean. I love the simple operation and have found the customer service/follow up exceptional. Great to deal with a local company with no fuss.

Good strong machine
Machine is powerful and will chop and blend up anything thrown at it.
works well with frozen and fresh fruit as well as nuts.
Makes excellent smoothies and shakes. Have also made nut spreads and it did that no problem
Only wish it came with single serve size jug/cup, then would be perfect

Great blender, I use it ALL the time
I've had this blender for about 3 years now and it's still going strong. Great for liquids and grinding coffee beans, making oat flour, etc. My only criticism is it doesn't deal with solids very well, but that's to be expected from a blender. Need to purchase a food processor as well.

Fantastic! Doesn't miss a beat.
I bought the omniblend because I didn't want to shell out almost $1k for the vitamix and am genuinely happy with it. I use it daily, if not twice a day and it works as well as the first day I bought it. It's fast and has no problem blending hard things like nuts. It makes food really smooth and no chunky bits or fibre to be felt. I chose the manual function over the timed one and like that I can control how much or little I want something blended. I usually only ever use it on the lowest settting because it's so powerful.

Good quality
I brought this blender because I would like it to last for more than 5 years not like the others who only give a one year warranty. We Love this blender because it just that. Excellent blender that works well making kids smoothies and juices and desserts with ease. The Omni Blend comes with 3 excellent recipe books and makes life easier for you in the kitchen. Washing up is a breeze just fill the jug with water and leave on for 5 seconds its clean. Better machine than the supermarket and TV ones.

and reliable We have had this product for over a year but we dont use it very often. So far so good no problems as yet. One thing I don't like that it has very sharp teeth where the jug joins the motor base but even the jug is removed these metal teeth can still go around if you accidently turn the motor on to clean unit. Very Dangerous. But over wise a good productSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Love my OmniBlend
One of the best appliances I have bought in the last few years. Use it on a daily basis and it never misses a beat. Has a built in "kill switch" which means it automatically turns off the motor over heats. Great future as I ruined my last blender by working it a bit too hard!! Company was great to purchase from and when I need to contact them (didn't know about the kill switch and thought I had sent another blender to the grave yard) they have been prompt and easy to deal with!

Good blender pity about the lid .
Really good blender, but would expect it with the price tag but worth the money as long as it lasts, had it 5 months and makes a great smoothly from frozen stuff also grinds coffee beans fine so really no complaints about the machine and how it works. I was a bit shocked by the large size when opening the box as seems almost double size of normal blender .
Just a real pity about the lid and how it fits seems like the designers didn't bother with a good lid a bought a rubber one off the shelf that you sort of he to force on and off.
The lid...Read more

Amazing Blender.
This is the best blender I have ever owned, This is the 5th blender I have had in the past 3 years all the others were rubbish. My wife and I use it every day for smoothies blends them in seconds. If your looking for a blender this one is the one. I prefer the manual button option.

All the control and power you'll ever need in a blender!
I've used the OmniBlend I (or 1) for a few years now and absolutely love it. It's similar to the OmniBlend V but instead of the buttons and presets it just has a manual power dial which I actually prefer as I like the look better and I like having fluid control over the amount of power. It's also cheaper than the OmniBlend V. I make nut butters, ice cream, silky smooth smoothies, soups and so much more. Can't recommend it highly enough :)

Questions & Answers
Tm22asked
Would anyone recommend this for a cafe? Not intending to make a huge amount of smoothies in this particular one as I have a thermomix and vitamix too, but as a back up to make say 10 a day?

The OmniBlend is steady on the bench, the glass cup is not something to be left lying around else it may get bumped and fall onto the floor. It may be too big for single serves, however, diversity of machinery is essential, it has the grunt to cover virtually all bases, eg ice, think about how much storage you have above and below the work bench.

I just got mine last friday and looking forward to using it. Today i made my usual smoothie with frozen fruits, coconut water and fresh apple. I noticed that it vibrates over my bench so much that the whole blender moves. Is this normal? I can’t have this happening because Sometimes I make it with my baby. I still have the 14-day return on this by the way

How strange.....this hasn't happened to me. You could try putting a rubber mat underneath to grip the base of the blender.
yes this has happened to me from the beginning. i rang omniblend and complained about it too. i even searched for youtube videos to see if others had this problem using it but i notice on omniblend's youtube channel they are always holding the top of the machine .... maybe because it does vibrate all over the bench. mine still does it now even after a couple of years. i don't know why they don't put rubber stick on feet onto the bottom of the machine so it will stick to the bench. maybe if you put a towel underneath it, it might vibrate less.i think one person from omniblend ages ago told me that it depends on the type of surface that it's sitting on.
