Does this phone have Message Bank function?
Does it have battery backup for when the power goes out?
I have an old Oricom cordless phone with an answering machine. My problem is that NEW VOICEMAIL shows on my phone but there are no messages and I cant get rid of it. A letter icon is also flashing

Have just installed the phone which works really well for outgoing calls. I have a problem in that it will not allow incoming calls. Those who try and phone in hear silence for a while followed by the disconnected sound. If we replace the phone with the old one normality is restored

My Mum has had the Care 170 phone for about 6 years and lately the light keeps flashing we have checked and there are no messages on this phone as per the manual and the only way we can stop the light flashing is disconnect the phone and remove the batteries. Is there anything else we can do to stop this?

I took delivery of my Oricom Care 170; looks like it is going to be very good.
I am still working my way through the guide. At the stage the only concern is that it isn't possible to have the ring on at very quiet or even silent for certain situations. I have changed it from 'high' to 'low' and it when the phone rings it still reverberates throughout the house. Perhaps the only way is to unplug when sleeping but I shall continue to investigate. One would have thought that 'low' would have been a lot lower than the HIGH but it doesn't appear so. Maybe this phone has an error in this line. All other features are perfect.
Any suggestion?

Do you have a phone/answering machine with an emergency call function?
Unfortunately the oricom care 170 speakerphone with emergency call function does not have an answering machine built in but we bought a small separate answering machine and joined it up with the phone.
