So far, so good.
My trimmer differs in colour - mine is grey, not green but I am sure it is the same product.
I tried the long blade on the shrub I specifically purchased this product for.
I know next to nothing about plants, so I cannot name it, but it has fleshy limbs not hard wood.
It did not seem to work well as most limbs were too wide to fit.
Once I swapped to the wide blade.....all good.
I paid $69 self pickup.
It saves much labour compared to using secateurs.
So far, the battery seems adequate.
I would recommend this product for the price.
My mother loves this shrub and has struggled to keep it tidy....Read more

Love this great little trimmer
Purchased this when I only had the use of one hand but has instantly become a favourite gardening tool.
Perfect for shaping clumps of ornamental grasses, tidying up shrubs or topiary, dead-heading, clipping along the edge of beds etc.
Would not use it to do a hedge of any size, but it is great for trimming back any shaggy bits between major trims.
Battery charge adequate for the kind of jobs described.

Deserves a spot in the garden shed
Performs well for light pruning including the Lilly Pillies. Excellent battery holds charge for ages with good recharge times. When changing cutter heads I hold the unit upside down in left hand, place cutter on base and hold down with thumb, with right hand nudge power on and everything will line up for you. Blades are supposed to be self sharpening but will dull over time even with normal use, I have sharpened mine a couple of times – all good.

This trimmer is good for light trimming.
After using it a few times I have no complaint about this trimmer, it works well and seems to hold it's charge. I previously kept away from battery operated tools as they had a bad record for battery life.I also have two other Ozito cordless tools, namely a drill and a screwdriver that have good battery life. Because of their good battery performance I had no hesitation in purchasing this trimmer.

perfect for its grade, very good battery lasting
If you use it lightly that use it to cut grass or thin branches, around 3mm thick, it does perfect job. Also, it is light, good for single tree trimming. May not be enough for a whole hedge. Battery lasting is big surprise for me as ozito battery was not having good reputation, but this tool has changed my mind, battery last 1 hour. Price is also sweet. Battery charging time is not problem for me. 1 hour / day is enough for me. Also, i have a small backyard, i dont have space for big line trimmer, this tool is perfect for me.

It's a wee ripper
Brilliant little machine for those smaller trimming needs. The charge life on the Battery is great. Have used it for a couple of hours. Put it away for a few months. Taken it out and it is still charged.
Changing the cutting heads is easy although a few things have to line up.
You will however still need to take the garden shears out with you when using the hedge cutters as anything the thickness of a pencil. Will jam in the blades. But for deheading your Daisies or other similar plants. It is all you need

The perfect lightweight cordless trimmer
I was given this Ozito cordless grass/hedge trimmer as a birthday gift and found it took only an hour to charge. Since then I have been using it frequently for an assortment of small trimming jobs which it seems to handle with ease. It says to flatten the battery before recharging it but the battery is still going strong.after days of use and I'm running out of trimming jobs. The blades are easy to change and come with covers for safe storage and it has a two year warranty. I expect it will last longer as it seems quite well made and think it i...Read more
s great value for the home gardener. Being lightweight is another big bonus for me as it hot having any cords to worry about. I am almost 70 and can use this trimmer with one hand for up to 30 minutes at a time.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Used it once and it will be out on the verge on next collection day
The shears could not manage something as simple as a Syzygium australe bush. Complete waste of money. Even the hedge trimmer struggled with the simplest task. Manufacture of the product is not very sturdy, too many plastic parts. Battery takes way too long to charge. Not even worth the lowest rate here. Terribly disappointed, would not recommend to anyone.
Easy to store

Mother's little (garden) helper
As an avid gardener I'm always on the lookout for new tools that will make the job easier and this little beauty really fits the bill. It's light weight, quick to charge and does its job admirably. Small and compact, it can be easily used one-handed and even copes with dried strappy leaves and thin branches. It's a case of horses-for courses though. It doesn't have the grunt of the bigger power trimmers, but then it's not competing in that arena. It's designed to trim small shrubs, cut the odd bits of grass around trees etc. and remove those an...Read more
noying dried bits once the winter bulbs have died down and so far it has done each of those jobs with ease. It comes with a 7.2V LI-Ion battery and although the instructions indicated it needed to be charged for 5 hours or so, the unit was ready for use within an hour. It also comes with 2 interchangable blades (with blade covers) which are easy to remove and replace. And of course the low price is a bonus. With a 2 year replacement warranty it beats some of the more expensive competition hands down. It feels reasonably sturdy and time will tell if it is a product that lasts. Even if you get only a couple of years work out of this tool, it would still be good value for money and would make a great present for the avid or even not so keen gardener. Sturdy, inexpensive, good power for its sizeSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

I have small hedge only 2.5 metres and the above appeals .Any thoughts and how long does battery charge hold
3 answers
Have not tried trimming a hedge, Peter, though 2.5 m sounds possible. My guess is that it would be good for keeping a hedge trimmed (think light growth, topiary) rather than initially knocking a hedge into shape where there is any heavier growth. Would also depend on the plant type. I don't have occasion to use the hedge blade (my husband has a heavy dedicated hedge trimmer that I would have difficulty using) so I just leave the Ozito with the clipper blades installed for dead-heading, pruning back bushes after flowering, trimming around edges etc. and could not be happier. For those tasks it seems to hold its charge well, both while using it and between uses, and I ask quite a bit of it in terms of what it tackles.
Battery life is good but it will simply jam up trimming a hedge - not enough grunt.
Thanks you were right poor grunt l

I bought one from Bunnings in September 2012. It has packed it in (April 2013). I am going to return it tomorrow. Rubbish.
