Not for my face
This is a nicely built shaver. It looks of good quality. I went from a rotary shaver to this one. I tried it for 6 months but unfortunately I could not get a consistent shaving cut across my face. I have gone back to a rotary.
Purchased in September 2021 at Shaver Shop for $141.25.

Expensive Parts!
I enjoy using this Shaver, particularly in conjunction with Proraso foam, but object to needing to pay half the original cost for a replacement foil - that is just quite ridiculous!
Purchased in December 2021 at Shaver Shop for $100.00.

Foils are weak & soft
I was recommended the shaver by the Shaver Shop to shave my head & I really do like the shaver & the cut however the foil cover lasted only a month & that was from shaving every two days of what was very short stubble. What a big disappointment & a waste of money. Replacement foils cost $50 whereas the shaver was for $99. I rang the shaver shop & they said that the foils on these are soft & wear quickly. You would have thought they could have told me that before I bought it. If you want to keep spending money on this shaver then this shaver is for you. I know have a shaver I cannot use unless I want to fork out $50 every 4-6weeks. This fact makes it poor quality & a bad buy even for a $99.

Good value shaver!
This is a very simple and good 3 blade shaver for the price ($99)!!
Don't expect a fancy screen showing bettery life, a flexible head to mould to the contours of your face or a cleaning station.. but nonethless adequately does the job and bonus is that it's a wet/dry shaver!!
easy to use!

A close shave!
I have had this shaver for approximately one week now. I am impressed with the close shave which this shaver produces. I have been using shaving cream on my face for each shave. The instructions stated that the shaver may need time to adapt to one's face for an "ideal" shave, but I have found this is not the case. One minor point is that after each shave I thoroughly wash the shaver's blades and foil, even taking the foil off each time, but occasionally when using the shaver the next day the shaver will make a strange noise; I have worked out t...Read more
hat the blade in the "centre" of the two foils has jammed. I free it by hand it and works okay. I have lubricated the shaving head, but the problem returned. I have put this down to when the shaver head dries for some reason the small blade becomes jammed.2 comments
The shaver is still performing well. I am impressed with this shaver. I have "tested out" dry shaving and also with Remington shaving talc. In both cases the results have been good. Although, using sh... Read more
aving cream gives a far closer shave and this is what I am using daily. The stated estimated battery charge time is for a three minute shave, once per day. The time will be reduced for a wet shave. I have found that a daily shave takes far more time that three minutes and as a result I am having to put the shaver on charge sooner than I had done with my previous Philips shavers. I would recommend this shaver.I have been impressed with this shaver. So much so, today I took delivery of a second shaver. Same make and model. The shaver was still on special and as a result I thought I would purchase another sh... Read more

The successor to the ES-ST25 - still bulky for travel
Suitable for a clean shave and it gives you a good one. If you have a beard or "fashionable" stubble maybe choose something else. Bought from Shaver Shop for under $100 with a 2 year guarantee which works out at around $1 a week for two years when buying a new shaver is probably a good idea (replacement parts tend to be too pricey - it's all planned obsolescence these days.) Panasonic persists with having to plug the cord into the shaver holding dock rather than the end of the shaver so it becomes bulky if you want to take it away with you for more days than the battery last for. The shaver charges when you place it in the dock. Usual pop up trimmer. Nice price point makes this a better idea than expensive shavers.

Really good
I have been thinking for a while that a might invest in a wet/dry electric shaver. The Panasonic ES-ST29 was placed second in a recent Choice evaluation just behind a Braun costing about 5 or 6 hundred dollars. The price quoted by Choice for the Panasonic shaver was $299. After reading the Choice article, I noticed that the Shaver shop had them on special for $99. I thought to myself...what is there to lose...so I bought one for $99. Is it any good? As a dry shaver it is not much better than my 20yo Phillips, as a wet shaver with soap it is be...Read more
tter but not fantastic....but used with a shaving gel it is really good...so much so that I use it now in preference to my Gillette Mach 3 hand razor. It is easy to use....gives a really good shave...admittedly not quite as good as the Mach 3 but very close, and is easy to clean....and I am very happy with it. That's just me...I think I made a good purchase because it was relatively inexpensive....and I use it every daySimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Best Electric Razor I have used
I have been using electric razors for more that 50 years and have purchased and used all of the major brands with varying results. I had a full beard for 35 years and then trimmed it back to a goatee for the last 20 years. With every other electric razor, I had to use a blade razor weekly to keep the beard edge neat. Since using the Panasonic ES-ST29, I have not had to do this which came as a pleasant surprise! It gives a very close shave both dry and wet and it is quick. The charge life is extraordinary. The beard trimmer is very easy to use and the blades clean well. Very satisfied with Panasonic.
