Standard recipe for cooking brown rice is 1 cup or rice to 2 1/2 cups of water. There's a water line to follow as well inside the cooking bowl if you wish to follow that as its pretty accurate as well.

I returned mine for a refund it was quicker to cook rice on the stove as I have done for years

There's marking inside the cooking bowl to follow. It's hard to see on low light but always works like a charm. As long as you use the same cup provided should have no issues.

I can't answer your question because I returned my rice cooker for a refund. I wasn't happy with it the rice didn't cook properly

Sorry, I also can’t answer your question about the rice/water measurements because I gave it away. The person I gave it to is very happy with it because she cooks a cup or more of white rice at a time. It it does seem that each rice cooker is different and it takes a bit of practice to get the rice as one would like it. As I said in my review, I only bought it for cooking a small quantity of brown rice, and for this I found my cooktop more efficient.

It used to take 20 mins for this rice cooker to cook normal white rice.

The cooking is slower than stove-top cooking.

1 cup 30 minutes
2 cups 50 minutes
3 cups 65 minutes

1 cup of water to 1 cup of basmati rice.
Press white rice button.

Never try, is just a normal rice cooker.
But you will regret this cooker, mine is in the garage

"Blue", why did you answer my question if you don't know the answer? I will repeat the question since you did not seem to understand it. Can you cook polenta in it? If yes, please tell me how you did it. If no, please provide evidence.

Hi Simon, I haven't made any polenta dishes with this cooker. But it seems like a good idea I will try. Actually, I did use this cooker to cook some pumpkin congee. It's over my expectation. I recommend you have a try :)

The Rice Cooker came with Operating Instructions which were fairly easy to follow with preparations, functions, recipes, cleaning, parts ID etc. Is this what you wanted to know? It has 4 easy to use buttons - Quick Cook/Steam; White Rice; Brown Rice; Porridge/Soup.
