nice to drive cheap day to running costs . repairs are expensive
I owned a 2013 2008 turbo diesel . The car was nice to drive nice interior but no cd player . It was cheap to run day to day however parts and servicing was expensive after warranty ran out. example front brakes 1000k and a service 900.00 . and then as soon as the warranty ran out the fan conditioning failed and that was going to cost anywhere from 800 to 2000 to fix . thats was the last straw for me and i offloaded the car at a big loss . however i could not afford for my car to be unreliable .
Bottom line while under warranty ok as soon as it runs out mine was a lemon .
Purchased in September 2021 for A$33,000.00.

what I don't like: no heated seats ( can be had for an extra) the back seats are very firm and my kids complain on long trips Peugeot app does not work well had problems down loading rear boot cover does not go up on juts own. It's like they skimped on the cord normally used to lift it up when the boot is lifted. only one key fob! what a disgrace! the second key is just that a key no fob for locking. Was quoted $450 4 new one. no arm rest or back drink holders for kids or usb ports in rear cruise control not adaptive not leather seats as it looks like in the pictures doing over 105 the car can get skittish and seem to lose its way on the road while going around slight road bends gets confused in 3rd gear when it should be in second if cruise control is on and you are going down a hill ( traveling around 100km) the car will change down up to 2 gears to maintain the speed and not go over - but it increases the revs and fuel use best tip. incorporate an extra key fob. go the middle line version at least it has leather with the option of heated seats. I'm enjoying the car - and I have it on a 3 year lease - so will do another update at a later stage. Am I happy I bought it? yes - coz I like its quirky vibe and easy drive. I

A great little car
Have had a manual 1.6 for 3 1/2 years. Have had many far more expensive cars including the usual Europeans. None have been better. No reliability or quality issues. Love the interior including the small steering wheel. It's even comfortable and quiet on long trips. Handles well and is very economical. Can't understand why they haven't sold as well as they should. They are very popular in Europe

2008 Mitsubishi Pajero 25th Ann, 3.2 Turbo Diesel giving very low fuel average.
I have recently purchased a 2008 Pajero DI D 25th Anniversary edition with 18600k odometer reading.
I am new to Diesel vehicles and have no experience to assess the car I have bought. One Diesel Mechanic reved it very high and showed me black smoke. He indicated that there is no power. He recommended EGR, inlet manifold cleaning, replacement of air filter and diesel fuel filter to start with at a cost of $1000.00 to start with and if it did not work he would look at injectors at additional work.
It drives good, NRMA and Lander Mitsubishi ...Read more
drove and tested it and reported all good. However it does not show very good fuel consumption. I have not driven it on a long drive but a combined average is around 5.6km per liter of BP Diesel viz 17.5liter per 100km. However when I took my car to NRMA & Lander Mitsubishi which was after the diesel mechanic's comments they tested it and gave a written report indicating that there was nothing wrong with the car. Can any one with experience on 2008 Mitsubishi DI D problems suggest how I can improve the fuel average to 10liters/100km and other problems such as the Diesel Mechanic pointed out if he was honest.1 comment

A very good car made even better
The only transmission option for Australia is the 6 speed automatic. It's mated to the 1.2 turbo engine that has being doing service in the Peugeot 308 and overseas for a few years now. The engine has won one of the European "motor of the year" categories for multiple years. I decided on this car based on its earlier reviews and its size. I didn't want a huge SUV but simply some ground clearance for some dirt road wandering that sedans do not have these days. It's a brilliant long-legged highway cruiser and extremely comfortable. The engine and...Read more
transmission combination is very good, anticipates conditions very well. The transmission made in conjunction with Aisin in Japan, I expect to be trouble-free. The car has both cruise control and a speed-limiter function which is a great and long-term function in all modern Peugeots. Don't understand why no other manufacturers use it. The car rides both smoothly with a loping gait on the open road that makes it seem like a much bigger (and well-handling) car. Since my purchase, I'm even happier with it. I suggest you take it for an extended run on some country roads to see just how good it is - city test-drives are fine but leave out is best points. I have the Allure model which comes with self-parking and collision avoidance. All models of the 2008 have a reversing camera (excellent) and Sat-Nav. Fuel economy I expect to be very good, although I've done very few new Kms so far, so hard to judge just yet.Purchased in November 2021.

Ultimate economical crossover
It's a go-anywhere, almost, it has 'grip control' for snow mud or sand and has greater ground clearance than the sedan 208. It's a type of super-economical diesel crossover with a 5 speed manual transmission.........not designed as a 'performance' vehicle.
I'm happy with the small steering wheel and the head-up display instruments.
There may be a slight compromise for 4/5 long legged individuals but the front ones are very supportive and sporty.
After 25,000 kms nothing to mention other than economical with 3.5 - 3.9 L/100 (70 - 75mpg)

ged the fuel filter at $400.00 and further gave a budget of $1500 to $2000 for a further investigation/improvement. The car improved a bit but still gave thick black smoke. It looked a bit costly experiment.
