We bought this machine back in November and we have terrible trouble with the lid as it keeps locking and won't open. Sometimes the lid is locked but it will tell you it is unlocked and you can't open the lid or use the pressure cooker . As it thinks the lid is unlocked. Last night we used the slower cooker function and then at the end of cooking it took us 30 minutes to get the lid to open. Even though we never locked the lid and it shouldn't of locke for slow cooking. Why would this keep happening?

Thankyou. I did try to call Phillips but didn't get through to anyone. So we spoke to the lovely staff at the Harvey Nornam where we had bought it from and they told us to bring it in and they will replace it with a new one. So heres hoping we don't have any issues with the new one.

hello,
i regularly use my Philips All in one multi. it work very well and i am happy. But just recently.
i noticed that it just turn off while i was steaming. then i thought there was no electricity as the Refrigerator beside where i was cooking it turned off too. but then when i turn on and check the lights there was a electricity.
so i check other outlet and it was working too.
so to continue my steaming. i transferred to another socket then again the Philips All in one multi just turn on a second and off. and the rest of the socket are not working anymore.
so i went out to check my fuse box to turn on it all.
so i tried again and i figure it out that once i use my Philips All in One multi it causes a electricity failure.
can you help me explain with this and what is your advice?

thank you.

Hi, can I release the pressure manually?

3 answers
Philips
Philips S.Philips

Hi there, Jolene. Thank you for your question. When the All-in-One cooker reaches the cooking pressure, the pressure keeping time starts to count down. When the pressure keeping time has elapsed, The All-in-One cooker steps into the release-stage, you can tap the pressure release button to quickly release the pressure, or wait until the cooker cools down naturally. We hope this information was helpful, but do let know if there is anything else you would like to know about your Multi-cooker.

First the pot could not pressure up. Tried 3 times and still it did not worked. Then I turn off the power switch and restarted it and it finally it worked. Cooked alright for the 30 minutes beef programme and de-pressured to zero. Was all ready to have a feast when the lock does not turn/unlock. Tried all ways it still would not bulge. That’s my Christmas Eve dinner and today is Christmas Day already and cooker’s lid remains locked with yesterday’s dinner in it. It is so frustrating as this is a new replacement set (1st time using) for my 1st set which does not work properly within 1st week of purchase. How can such unreliable product be placed in the market!

The specifications on your website for this model under Multi cook state "Saute/Sear, Slow cook (low/high), Pot roast, Stew, Bake, Yoghurt". I have been loving my HD2145/72 All in one cooker for a while now and always recommend it to friends and family. Easy to use, can put my food in and forget about it. Recently however my food is getting burnt. I used the soup pressure cook option with about 4 cups of water and still it got burnt. I cooked steak on the pressure cook option with barely any liquid and it came out fine but yesterday when I used the same option to cook mutton curry with 1.5 cups of water the bottom got burnt. I am not sure what is going on as sometimes the same option releases alot more steam resulting in less liquid and the food burning, Please advise

I have had the same issue. Our dinner is stuck in the pot again. Calling Customer Service is a waste of time as usual. This piece of over priced garbage will go back to the shop for a full refund. Shame on you Phillips for selling a faulty product.

I returned the unit to the store. That retailer no longer stocks the product. I have purchased one that I can manually depresurise. It is not as pretty but it works very well and I don’t have to worry that it won’t open because of an A1 issue gone wrong. It also has a lid that can be removed completely which is a big drawback with the Deluxe as it was tiresome to clean.
