Totally satisfied with this product

published

This is my first time purchasing a hair straightener and I can say it works perfectly for me. It is very quick to straighten my hair and it makes my hair smooth. Plus it is very to use and a good value for money.

Purchased in February 2021.

A perfect companion

published

It takes only a few mins to make the hair fairly straight, very easy to use, and very energy efficient. I am very happy with the product as it does not cause any damage on my hair

Purchased in March 2021.

Do not usually using it

published

I am not sure if it is because i do not quite actually know how to use a hair straightener or what but i find it’s oretty hard to style my hair and i am so afraid if i higher the temperature, it will hurt my hair, so i do not use that pretty often. It does not take much time to gets it hot.

Purchased in November 2021 at Myer Online Store.

Amazing Straightener

published

I have been using Philips straighteners from quite sometime but this one has proven to be the best so far. All it takes is 1 stroke and that's all. Saves on time and energy.

Beautifully designed! the heat cap comes super handy while travelling.

Simply love it!!!

Gives great results

published

I have used this straightener twice now, and I am very impressed with the performance. It took only 10 sec to fully heat up which is incredible. The plates are well made in that they produced a smooth, shiny and frizz free result and it does not snag. My hair was also soft after using it and lasted a long time (didn't use hair spray) which is something my previous straightener failed to do as it caused dryness.

Not great but not bad

published

I was longing to replace my GHD when I came across this model, which some of you have praised it. I like the high heat setting and sleek design. As my hair is dry and damaged, this straightner just made my hair drier and crinkled with the heat. I've now stopped using it and bought a Cloud 9, which leaves my hair soother.

Perfect with minor flaws

published

Gives the Perfect straightening very quick, but it doesn't have any heat settings and heats up really quick. I almost burnt my hair the first time I used it. If there are heat settings for it then it would be the perfect hair straightener for reasonable price

I have had a look at my straightener again, I honestly didn't noticed it. Thank you for pointing it out. Yay I can control the heat settings now. Thanks again

Effective and gentle

It feels gentle with hair but very effective. The only problem is it heats up too fast. Nearly burnt my finger he first time. A little too big for traveling too.

I just bought HPS939 and when I first used it I heard a static or electric sound where the cord roatates, I thought it was faulty so I swapped it in store. My new one makes the same noise, almost as if electriciry is arcing type sound. Is this normal or a known fault? It also cuts our after a few minutes use, but otherwise heats and straightens really well.

Thank you for your question, Nsw user. This certainly doesn't sound right. There indeed is an auto shut-off function, but this happens after 60 minutes of the straightener being on. Seeing that you've had a HPS9390 before, we were wondering if you've perhaps tried it in other sockets? Besides that we would like to advise you to get in touch with us about this further, by calling us on 1300 363 391 (AU) or on 0800 658 224 (NZ).

Hanna Blakeasked

I was about to buy this straightener but I noticed that its plates are coated with titanium (in another words, if the layer breaks down the hair will be automatically exposed to scorching heat on the inferior metal).
However, I don't understand how can a straightener of quality and a price like this only have coated plates, so my question is if it is indeed coated with titanium or full titanium plates and how does that affect the health of our hair?
I really liked this straightener and wanted to buy it but I still don't understand this very well.
Thanks.

Hi Hanna,
thank your for reaching out to us. The HSP930 has titanium coated plates, used professionally, are valued for their robustness and quick heat transfer, resulting in faster straightening. At the same time titanium is microscopically smoother than ceramic providing optimal friction and therefore limits damage to the hair. The floating plates move, when too much pressure is applied during straightening. This protects the hair shaft from being damaged and therefore avoids overall hair breakage. If you have any further question, please feel free to give our colleagues from our Customer Care Line a call who can then assist you further. You can reach them on 1300 363 391 (Australia) or on 0800 658 224 (New Zealand).
