Great for fried food but dishwashing bad

published

I love to use for fried food such as potato chips, children nugget, marinated chicken wings, spring rolls, prawns and frozen pizza but dishwashing is quite difficult. And oil dirt is not easy to clean. Also size is not that big even I bought XL size. My basket paint is peeled for washing. With this bad side I am still not regreting at all.

This Airfryer XL is even better that the previous model!

published

We still have the previous large model and add this extra large model to our kitchen. It is fantastic, there is a lot more room to fit everything inside. We noticed that Phillips improved a number of things on this new model, including the under tray shape, less smoke coming from the appliance when cooking and it is easier to clean. We use this appliance almost everyday, chicken drumsticks come out perfect, delicious and crispy and so as potato chips. We put the baskets in the washing machine, no problem at all. Good job, Phillips!

Perfectly cooked meat every time.

published

I purchased this airfryer thinking I would only use it to make hot chips for my kids. I’ve tried cooking pretty much everything in it and it cooks beautifully. Meat is always moist and juicy. Hot chips taste really good, especially home made ones rubbed in duck fat. I am
considering buying a second one because sometimes have to cook in batches. Only negative is it does get burned on grease that is hard to get off even with daily soaking and washing after each use.

Great product can be a bit small

published

I’ve had the air fryer for just under a year and it’s been fantastic. Heats up quickly and cooks food super fast. Chips and chicken wings come out super crispy. It’s great for smaller groups (say up to 4 ppl) but for larger groups you may need to cook two loads. Even with the XL model, the bucket is not that large

I love it, although it is hard to clean

published

I satisfied with the cooking results of this product. It is healthier. It is not as oily as deep fry. Although it is a little bit hard to clean. But it is easy to store. I just put it on the dinner table. Surely, the test is not as good as deep fry.

best product ever. Rely on it all the time!

published

This machine will make you life so much more easier and u can basically cook anything in it . Easy to clean but the grill inside takes a while to clean. Chicken can be cooked in about 15 minutes and you can also put aluminium foil in the air fryer so that you won't have to clean it as often.

Purchased this in Dec 17 from harvey norman and havent looked back! We have a large oven so this is such an easy solutiom for fast tasty oven baked items for the kids. The machine is very easily cleaned and large enough to cook for at least 4 people. The touch screen is easy to use and simple to get going.

living with out my large air fryer

published

I have the same problem with my xl fryer. It turn off. l wrote a review and was contacted by the help line. They ask me where it was purchest I told them it was a gift and came from TVSN but I didnt have the reciept. They said theyed get back to me. They did and are me to produce a reciept which I COULDN'T do. So I Just left it. A little peved. I have read a lot of reviews on this air fryer and all seem to have the same problem. Would it not be an idea to recall all these modles and replace them instead of getging them fixed and people still having the same problem again even though it has been repaird. Now just look at my air fryer.

Thank Ros

Chicken drumsticks better than Kentucky Fry!

published

We love this Philips Airfryer XL. We use it almost every day for crispy bacon, fries and chicken drumsticks. I know some people have had problems with the digital display and overheating but we have 2 and never had problems. A lot of steam comes out of it (we don't have this problem with the small one), so we actually have it sitting outside on the gazebo bench.

Can't live without it

I eat a lot of fried food so I really use this often. The cooking results are pretty good, although for some occassions, I need to cook longer than I expect to get a perfect result (e.g. fries need to be spread thoroughly)
The machine is easy to clean. It's a quite big machine and hopefully it can be minimised in the future

Third time lucky?

published

Was very excited when we purchased our first Philips air fryer. The results were amazing, the food was perfectly cooked as long as you follow the directions. Was very dissapointed when it stopped working after 6 months, the motor overheated after it being turned on for 10 minutes. Harvey Norman were great and just gave us a new replacement one. The second one lasted only 3 months turned itself off and wouldn’t come back on. Again got a replacement from H.N. and this one has lasted a year, but I make sure I don't leave it on for too long as the motor does get extremely hot.

I would never buy this again!

published

- Our air fryer started off great and then out of nowhere after 6 months just broke. Turned itself off and wouldn’t come back on. We had it replaced and the new one did exactly the same thing.
- The machine is easy to clean and store but it can smoke a bit if you fry something with a lot of fat.

I would not purchase this machine again. Have since swappe to a healthy choice air fryer and not had any issues.

YOU WILL NEVER USE YOUR OVEN AGAIN!

published

I have had 2 XL air fryers over the past 7 years and they are amazing! I leave mine on the bench top and use it for everything, I bake cakes, muffins, cook frozen chips, roast veggies, roast meats, cook steaks, back and eggs - I rarely use my oven anymore. I clean the inside out every 3-4 months with wipes and its ready to go again. The basket is washable in the dishwasher too. I cant put into words how great everything turns out in the air fryer.

Great for a small space but

published

I bought my airfryer a month ago. It cooks beautifully and is great as I live in a small apartment with no oven.
Cooked burgers yesterday and let the components cool before washing. The plastic casing split. Really dissapointed and inconvenient as now I am going to have to go to the trouble of returning it for repair or replacement. This seems to be unreliable for the cost.

Won't turn on

I upgraded to the bigger airfryer as I use mine so much. I make fresh muffins every morning as the oven takes too long. Like so many other reviews mine also do not want to turn on. Is there something specific that goes wrong after 18 months? I'll appreciate any sugestions.

my basket keeps coming loose

published

This is the third phillips air fry i have had and im really sad that i have to take it back. Im really happy with the way it cooks food. However with all the ones ive had the basket inside has yet again come loose. When food is cooked i i take out the bottom. the basket comes away from the bottom. This is very dangerous as its hot. I exchanged my last one after 7 months. iI exchanged my last one last week. After the second time i used it the same issue arose. I am really gutted that this time i will look at exchanging for a different model. I do admitt we do use the air fryer most days. But this one is only a week old.

Easy quick snacks, love it!

published

Use this v regularly as I have 3 hungry monsters in my home! It heats up fast and is convenient if you don't want to use the oven. Churns out fries pretty good, and I use it for mini pizzas, fried chicken, pies, pastries etc. So much better than the conventional oven. Clean up is not easy though, due to the basket. All in all, a very worthwhile investment, A+
