I love to use for fried food such as potato chips, children nugget, marinated chicken wings, spring rolls, prawns and frozen pizza but dishwashing is quite difficult. And oil dirt is not easy to clean. Also size is not that big even I bought XL size. My basket paint is peeled for washing. With this bad side I am still not regreting at all.

So many different recipes I can try in it - I have tried everything from reheating frozen foods to roasts and baking muffins. I can prepare good alternatives to deep fried foods for my little ones although I almost always use spray oils because it just gets too dry without it. It’s still better since amount of oil used is minimal. Cleaning is one thing I hate about it - it gives me nightmares. I decided to lay baking paper over the mesh tray when cooking most of my foods or use oven safe containers which made my life easier but I still get that...
Read more old greasy dirts here and there between little gaps even though I regularly spend fair amount of time cleaning it. Do not use it to cook fatty meats as oil/fat (when heated) can make lots of smoken come out of it.- Date Purchased

We still have the previous large model and add this extra large model to our kitchen. It is fantastic, there is a lot more room to fit everything inside. We noticed that Phillips improved a number of things on this new model, including the under tray shape, less smoke coming from the appliance when cooking and it is easier to clean. We use this appliance almost everyday, chicken drumsticks come out perfect, delicious and crispy and so as potato chips. We put the baskets in the washing machine, no problem at all. Good job, Phillips!

I purchased this airfryer thinking I would only use it to make hot chips for my kids. I’ve tried cooking pretty much everything in it and it cooks beautifully. Meat is always moist and juicy. Hot chips taste really good, especially home made ones rubbed in duck fat. I am
considering buying a second one because sometimes have to cook in batches. Only negative is it does get burned on grease that is hard to get off even with daily soaking and washing after each use.

I’ve had the air fryer for just under a year and it’s been fantastic. Heats up quickly and cooks food super fast. Chips and chicken wings come out super crispy. It’s great for smaller groups (say up to 4 ppl) but for larger groups you may need to cook two loads. Even with the XL model, the bucket is not that large

I satisfied with the cooking results of this product. It is healthier. It is not as oily as deep fry. Although it is a little bit hard to clean. But it is easy to store. I just put it on the dinner table. Surely, the test is not as good as deep fry.

Works well for most items like quickly heating or reheating meat, frozen foods and fried goods. It is a very bulky unit and the tray inside is quite small in comparison so bear that in mind. It says great for a family of 4 but maybe more on the side of big portions for 2.
Some things like spring rolls are still much better cooked with oil. The result of just using an air fryer sometimes comes out dry but only on select foods.
It's pretty easy to clean since the tray has a nice design and can just be lifted out. Again the main unit is quite bu...

This machine will make you life so much more easier and u can basically cook anything in it . Easy to clean but the grill inside takes a while to clean. Chicken can be cooked in about 15 minutes and you can also put aluminium foil in the air fryer so that you won't have to clean it as often.

I have the same problem with my xl fryer. It turn off. l wrote a review and was contacted by the help line. They ask me where it was purchest I told them it was a gift and came from TVSN but I didnt have the reciept. They said theyed get back to me. They did and are me to produce a reciept which I COULDN'T do. So I Just left it. A little peved. I have read a lot of reviews on this air fryer and all seem to have the same problem. Would it not be an idea to recall all these modles and replace them instead of getging them fixed and people still having the same problem again even though it has been repaird. Now just look at my air fryer.

We love this Philips Airfryer XL. We use it almost every day for crispy bacon, fries and chicken drumsticks. I know some people have had problems with the digital display and overheating but we have 2 and never had problems. A lot of steam comes out of it (we don't have this problem with the small one), so we actually have it sitting outside on the gazebo bench.

Was very excited when we purchased our first Philips air fryer. The results were amazing, the food was perfectly cooked as long as you follow the directions. Was very dissapointed when it stopped working after 6 months, the motor overheated after it being turned on for 10 minutes. Harvey Norman were great and just gave us a new replacement one. The second one lasted only 3 months turned itself off and wouldn’t come back on. Again got a replacement from H.N. and this one has lasted a year, but I make sure I don't leave it on for too long as the motor does get extremely hot.

I would not purchase this machine again. Have since swappe to a healthy choice air fryer and not had any issues.

I have had 2 XL air fryers over the past 7 years and they are amazing! I leave mine on the bench top and use it for everything, I bake cakes, muffins, cook frozen chips, roast veggies, roast meats, cook steaks, back and eggs - I rarely use my oven anymore. I clean the inside out every 3-4 months with wipes and its ready to go again. The basket is washable in the dishwasher too. I cant put into words how great everything turns out in the air fryer.

Have been used it for 2 years and I am very pleased with how food comes out quickly and perfectly all the time. However, there are also many issues with the units and I don't understand how can Philips releases products with so many flaws and still wants to charge us 400 dollars.
First the quality built is cheap as it is plastic. I dropped the basket once then the handle already broke.
Second, the unit timer turned off All the time by itself and stop cooking. I have to check on it all the time to turn it on again.
Thirdly, the unit...
Read more releases black smoke and set off fire alarm everytime. Not recommend to anyone who lives in an apartment and want their apartment filled with black smoke. That is a terrible design. Finally, it is extremely hard to clean no matter how long you soak it with soap. I think the oil residue contributes to the smoke. The whole point of using air fryer is that we want quick good and healthy meal. No body wants to save time for oil frying then spending three hours to clean up.- Date Purchased
I bought my airfryer a month ago. It cooks beautifully and is great as I live in a small apartment with no oven.
Cooked burgers yesterday and let the components cool before washing. The plastic casing split. Really dissapointed and inconvenient as now I am going to have to go to the trouble of returning it for repair or replacement. This seems to be unreliable for the cost.

Use this v regularly as I have 3 hungry monsters in my home! It heats up fast and is convenient if you don't want to use the oven. Churns out fries pretty good, and I use it for mini pizzas, fried chicken, pies, pastries etc. So much better than the conventional oven. Clean up is not easy though, due to the basket. All in all, a very worthwhile investment, A+
