Hi, I have just received a replacement for my Hx8340 as mine one stop working as well. Unfortunately, the old nozzles I have does not fit the replacement unit. I wonder why this happens. How to make sure that the new nozzles that I purchase would fit the replacement unit and not the old one? Totally confused.

Sonicare AirFloss Ultra HX8340

I bought Philips Sonicare about 9 months ago from a dentist. It worked well for few times. Then I used mouth wash into it and used once. Later it never worked. It is dead since then (no light or no sound). I am not sure whether it is battery or what. It is still lying like that since then. I could not even open to check battery. Any advise or help?

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out to us with this question. We'll gladly have a look at the issue. So if we understand correctly, there is no air/spray coming from the nozzle? Do you hear some kind of strange sound when you press the button? It may be that the internal parts of the product are clogged. You can try to clear them by putting hot water in the water reservoir and to spray at least 50 times. Let us know how that works out alright?

Kind regards,
The Philips Australia team

We have tried hot water and let it stand before hitting the air/water button 50 times, there is no noise at all and if you shake it you can feel water drops from the head, it seems like it is dead and has been on charge for 2 days without trying to use it..it is a fabulous machine when it works,
My 1 st one died after 2 years but 2 people were using it. Thisoneisonly 8 months old and one user.

We have tried your hot water and let it stand for 5 minutes before hitting the button 50 times as suggested, the Flosser appears dead there is no noise or green lights even after charging for 5 days. This product is faulty and this is my second one in less than 3 years.

I bought one last week, today I started to use it today .After I charged full electricity, it is not working. What can I do ?

same thing happened to me after 3 weeks. I note one writer dropped their one, and it started working agains, but I wouldn't recommend that (nudge nudge, wink wink), I'd ring Phillips and organise to post it back. at approx. $200 it needs each unit need to be more carefully tested before being packed for sale.
Just of interest, do the bottom lights on the dial go on, is the nozzle unblocked; and did you charge for a full 24 hours before using?
BTW I really liked the product when it was working, and am so hoping they can fix it, as this product was small enough to be portable, all the other ones had big bulky reservoirs and I wanted something to carry when I travel.
Good luck, but go back to the store or ring Phillips.
Cheers

Rob

Thanks for answering. The unit is working. I'm guessing I didn't charge it enough.
