I too bought my first one at Big W two years ago and use it regularly -still works well (tiny puncture from brom. spike) Drained after use and stored in a 9 litre bucket in shade with lid.However I have bought similar product on-line with less rosy experiences similar to negative reports in this review. Important to read instructions carefully eg, only use water pressure such that it just expands/extends to greatest length - I turn tap half on then restrict out-flow until fully extended. Works best with its own accessories - other fittings often leak.

I purchase 2 pocket hoses 25 Ft and 50 Ft from a local retailer with a the new brass connection as seen on TV, I install one hose in my front yard the other in the back yard, less than 2 weeks of use, both hoses came apart from the brass connection . I try to contact the company to get replacement, I couldn't go through and emailed them to complain no answer. I wasted my money the product doesn't work, SAVE YOUR MONEY DON"T BUY IT I CAN'T TRUST THE COMPANY OR THE QUALITY OF THE HOSE.

Guess I was more fortunate than most who have reviewed this product, as mine lasted over a year, but then it exploded whilst in use, and I wasn't impressed with getting soaked, after all its only a plastic tube underneath all that material. Now whilst the concept was good I wouldn't bother purchasing another one.

I purchased 2 Pocket Hoses from Target and both burst and exploded whilst in use. My sister bought 2 also and so did my niece. They all exploded and/or leaked at the attachment. Coincidence? I don't think so. Waste of money? Yes. The concept is great, but more homework needs to be done with the type of materials used in manufacturing this item. Until then, I don't recommend you get too excited about this product. It has a short life span

The pocket hose is brilliant. I have had one using it constantly, unfortunately I left it on with the nozzle attached and it burst. I am now trying to buy another one because I will be lost without it. Marvelous for courtyards as it retracts to almost nothing., Thus the name Pocket Hose.

I bought two of these hoses because they were cheap and I HATE winding my hose up. What a waste of money and effort, they split within a month of use. I did all the suggested things the box said, emptied the hose after each use, etc. Really don't bother, save your money and energy, I'm now going to buy a wall mounted retractable hose, more money, however reliable.

I loved the Pocket Hose. It is perfect for those who can't handle the twisting and turning of conventional hoses which can be very heavy and difficult to wind-up and/or retract into those recently marketed retractable hose reels. The Pocket Hose is very lightweight and highly manageable and therefore extremely suitable for those who have disabilities and/or are ageing as it is very easy to grab and go and it then retracts quickly into a small size. However, it has a very finite life and I have gone through two of these hoses in the past year. I'd only recommend it for light use.

Don't waste your money on the pocket hose. It claims to come with a lifetime guarantee. I bought the hose to use with our above ground 15' pool. I rinsed out the pool filter and forgot to turn off the water. I awoke the next morning to a ruptured hose with water flowing for 6+ hours. The Lifetime Guarantee you get is yourself regretting you ever bought a pocket hose. The 50' hose I purchased did not even stand up to overnight water pressure.

What a load of rubbish they leak form the word go an can't gett fittings wath a waste of money plsstic connectiom split and if no fittings are available it's a trow away junk

I brought 4 of these hoses for my elderly grandparent. And all 4 busted within the first 2 weeks none work. Never again!!!

Wish we had've read the reviews on this product before buying 2. Leaked from the start -For $100 --our money ended up in the till and the garbage hoses we bought ended up in the bin.If it sounds too good to be true ---then it is DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS RUBBISH PRODUCT-- BECAUSE IT WILL END UP IN THE RUBBISH

First hose lasted 12 months before bursting, got a replacement. Second one lasted 3 months. $50 is a lot of money for a hose. So glad I keep receipts!

Bought this hose payed 50$ thought it would be great it was at first then it burst cat find any where to complain I bought two not going to se the other one for same fear it will burst two too dangerous can't find my receipt to take it back and get my money back and no website either

No warranty service

I just brought my pocket hose today and I've just been outside trying it out...how totally disappointed and ripped off I feel especially now I see these other reviews. Could'nt get the connections to stop leaking and thought it was just me (apparently not) plus it kept bursting off the tap even when the pressure was low. I had to ask my daughter to stand by the tap and keep reconnecting it, then the nozzle starting blowing off! Glad I only paid $19 not the rrp of $59 don't believe you could give these away. Can't believe they can get away with continueing to sell it especially with such terrible reviews. Oh well at least it won't take up much room in the rubbish bin.

Absolute junk

Bought two of them. Both leak so much from the connections they don't even expand properly. Absolute junk. How a product this bad can even be sold Ill never know. Its making a car out of cardboard boxes then selling it as the real deal. I couldn't figure out how to give 0 stars but thats my real rating.

It does not work at all. It is a 100% useless product. May as well have stuck a tree branch into the tap.

Pocket hose leaked on first use out of the box. Checked that the seal was in place and connectors were tight and it still poured out past the join.
I have never reviewed a product before, but i am very frustrated of late with faulty products that i am going to review here if i have a negative experience.
Not Happy.

I bought one of these and it leaked unbelievably on its first use. I returned it and the lady shrugged and said they get them back everyday. It's a rubbish product where more water comes out of the top of the hose than comes through the spray nozzle that's supplied

Leaks and is very expensive

Judging by the reviews I've just read, I've been lucky because for $50 mine lasted about 9 months. Exploded whilst bathing the dog and scared him half to death, my husband is now deaf and grey.

Not good value for money, if you work hard, don't waste your dough. It might be cute & compact and green, but don't be fooled!!

Explosive, died prematurely

I've had approx 5 months use. Outer breaking down, must have no UV protectant to prevent this happening. For $50 I can buy a good quality hose and can replace fitting if hose gets damageds. Disappointing when googling, can't find any contact details to complain to company. Thought was good idea at time of purchase instead of having to lug around normal garden hose from back of house to front. I would not advise anyone to purchase.

The hose lasted about 3 months and now leaks from both ends meaning more water is wasted than actually makes it through the hose. The inner hose seems to have broken away from the connections on each end and cannot be repaired. Seemed like a good idea but failed dismally. One product to leave on the shelf.
