People who drive company cars should learn the road rules
Hopefully the product is better than the people that drive the company vehicle's that don't no the road rules and then abuse you when you beep the horn at them...
Fantastic quality
Fantastic quality of the materials I've used. Great support from the company. (Polytec). The product range of finishes and colours is excellent.

Poor investment
Stay away from thermolaminated panels, ours lasted 9 years and then started lifting off . Looks like the mdf expands and contracts with the seasons . Polytec said we did well to get 10 years out of a kitchen, sorry polytec its not a car i would expect the hardware to go (which it hasnt) before the laminate started lifting . I’m concerned to see they still sell this product, which i think has a 7 year warranty, really ? So they expect problems after 7 years !!!

Xenolith benchtop Grey Cement Expensive and disappointing.
Be warned. This may be very disappointing. The colour matching of the bench is not perfect by any stretch.
After replacing the first one, which took WEEKS, the second one is not a very good match in colour.
It is a beautiful bench, just very sadly it doesn't match properly so I have to have something to cover the join.
Gloss white kitchen is now yellow!
We built a masterton home 10 years ago. Paid extra for polytec gloss white cabinets for the top row in the kitchen & pantry! Within 6 years it had started to yellow. It is now extremely noticeable that the fronts of the doors & sides of the end panels are yellow but the fronts of the end panels are still pure white. Making the discolouring hard to disguise or pass off as an off white colour. Pretty disappointed to read that this was a “bad batch” that had a 7 year warranty period which has now expired. I did enquire with the home company when it started to yellow after 6 years to be told there was nothing I could do.

Excellent service!
I am delighted with the service provided by the commendable staff at Polytec. They told me how long it would be to manufacture and deliver my cabinetry and it was installed exactly on time. The workmanship was done skilfully and with great attention to detail thanks to the hard work of Michael and Stuart. Many thanks, Polytec.

Doesn’t live up to the hype
Just installed my venette cupboards. Shows everything and definitely not scuff and fingerprint resistant. Was going to have push doors, however having read the other reviews I’ll put in handles. Surprised to see the white borderline, thought I was buying blue cupboards, not blue cupboards with a white edge!
Hi there, please contact our warranty department regarding this as we would love to find a resolution for you.

service of Polytec is horrendous
it has taken 3 weeks and my Doors have still not been manufactured because they do not communicate and it is an endless problem to try and finalise something. Not even my Rep here in Perth is helping me. I Will certainly not use Polytec again but will rather use a company with costumer service

Polytec Venette
I selected Polytec Venette for our kitchen and vanities as I believed this product was anti fingerprint. The kitchen is in Oxford, 1 week living in our new build, marks are visible everywhere and do not easily wipe off. Due to the dark colour you can see the joins on the edges of the cabinetry and the product easily scratches.
Hi Karen, if you believe this to be a manufacturing fault, please contact our warranty department as we would love to get this resolved for you.
What are the contact details of your warranty department? Also i have seen other reviews saying contacting this department does not resolve the problem
Hi Karen, our warranty department will help with manufacturing faults and we encourage you to contact them if you believe there is an issue with your product. The email they can be contacted on is [email protected]
Thank you
Don’t Get Vinyl Kitchen Cupboards
12 years ago we chose Polytec vinyl kitchen cupboards doors as they were the only profile and colour we wanted. Five years in and the vinyl started peeling off the doors. Polytechnic and kitchen installer both unable to help or even recommend a product for gluing vinyl back down.
Excellent Customer Service
We had an issue with peeling on our vanity unit only 18 months after installation. Polytec agreed to fix the problem under Warranty and as a result, last week their Technician came and replaced the damaged panels. He was friendly, efficient and obviously skilled. We are happy customers!
Hi Sandra, thank you for your review!

Yellowing after warranty period
New kitchen installed 2011 with createc gloss white polytec
Now all large flat surfaces have yellowed leaving bright white edges as they were originally
Apparently now out of warranty
Disappointing product
Thank you for such a wonderful job
I wanted to reach out and let you know how amazing and professional your employees were. Andrew kept me informed of all the appointments, and was always professional, friendly, courteous and on time.
Andrew and Jordan worked very hard to get the new kitchen, which had some tricky elements, installed within the advised timeframe. They were always polite and a pleasure to chat with, always keeping me abreast of everything that was happening with the installation. Upon completion they cleaned everything up and ensured that I was happy with the fi...

My experience with the new installation exceeded my expectations and the whole process was a lot more pleasant than when Kitchen Connection staff were on the job and it looks a lot better than the original kitchen ever did. This is thanks to the boys expertise and attention to detail. I commend you and your team for turning such a negative experience (The kitchen changing colour) into such a positive one. Andrew and Jordan are an asset to your company and they deserve a pay rise for being such excellent team members. Please share this feedback with your fabulous team. I wanted to express a big THANK YOU!Thank you for your wonderful review Monika, and we are glad you had such a positive experience!

Poor quality work on carcasses
Polytec use a wrap on part of their cabinet carcasses that is peeling off in less than 3 years of use. We went away for work so never lived in the house from new as it was rented for the first 2.5 years. I notified the builder after 3.5 years when I saw it was widespread. I first noticed it at less than 3 years above the dishwasher when I replaced it and put it down to using a wrap/glue that can't handle a bit of heat from the dishwahser. I didn't look elsewhere at the time. Polytec have hidden behind "it's out of warranty and it would hav...
Read moree been noticed within the first year if it was a manufacturing process fault". If you want to carry out non-wear and tear repairs to your kitchen within 3 years then go with Polytec. The attached photo is typical of the issue. It can't be put down to getting wet/hot no wear and tear because it is almost everywhere. I hope the cabinet doors don't start peeling prematurely like this.Hi Tony, our warranty covers a 7 year period. Can you let us know if you contacted our warranty department directly in regards to this?
I contacted the builder because that's who commissioned Castelwood Kitchens who would have used Polytec as a supplier. The builder forwarded the response from Polytec which is quoted up above. I don't know whether that was the warranty department.

Poor long term
We had our first Polytec doors installed over 20 years ago. After about five years the vinyl skin on a lot of our doors began peeling off. A few years later Polytec contacted us out of the blue as they realised that they had used poor glue in their product. I was impressed that they removed all of our doors and drawer fronts and replaced the vinyl. Unfortunately some of the fronts began to peel away again. I guess there was residue of the bad glue left behind - assuming that they had upgraded the glue in the first place. It looks hideous and it means we have to replace all if our facings once again.

Love the Benchtops
Just replaced our old ugly laminate benchtop with a Polytec Laminate in Tunisia Stone Matera which is an ultra Matte finish.
It looks AMAZING, I went with a 40mm thickness instead of a standard 32mm and it really looks like a stone benchtop but without the crazy price tag that I just couldn't justify.
This benchtop looks fantastic paired with a black composite granite sink that I got from Hafele.
Highy recommend their Matera finish benchtops.
Frustrating experience
Had my 'ultra white' cabinets that turned yellow replaced under the 7 year warranty. It meant most of the cabinets and carcasses had to be removed. Unfortunately, the installers sent by polytec weren't as professional as the ones that initially installed the cabinets. The cabinets did not fit same as before and ended up with a 5mm gap that they had to fill which they did not discuss with me just went ahead and did it, it was too late to do anything about it when i noticed it. The finish product is not as good. They had to make several trips b...
Read moreack cause they had wrong size for some cabinets, replace scratched doors, mismatched hinges cause they misplaced the original ones, the glass on the glass cabinets was not same quality as before it took a few visits to get it right. Glass cabinets don't have the same professional finish. Polytec weren't interested in hearing about my dissappointed with the installers. The whole process took 9 months in the end I was glad not to see them again.Hi Ann, we cannot locate the details of your job, can you please advise who your cabinetmaker was so we can find your original order?
Avoid Venette
We had our kitchen cabinetry built using the Polytec Oxford Venette six months ago. I can not remove the marks off the surfaces. I have followed the cleaning instructions on the Polytec website, and from their responses on here to other customers with the same issue, but it does not work. The slightest touch marks the surface, even from your knuckles when using the handles marks the cupboards. We had the small sample piece to test, however it did not seem to mark the same way as our actual cupboards. I read that dark colours would require extra...
Read more cleaning and was fine with that. However, I didn’t expect to be unable to clean it, nor expect the marks to be so incredibly visible. Everywhere. The sample piece also does not show that along the edges small pieces of the ‘wrap’ remain, making it look cheaply made. I am hoping these eventually wear off. My friend has also used the black Venette in her kitchen. Exactly the same issues. She has said the ONLY thing that she has found that cleans the surface is mineral turpentine - I am nervous to try this as the toxic smell from turps is quite intense. From reading other reviews, I am aware that Polytec will take zero responsibility and blame the customer for not choosing a product suitable for their needs. I assure you it is not the customer, it is the product. Do not use this material for your kitchen unless you only want to look at it, and not touch it.Hi Kat, can you please let us know if you contacted our warranty department in regards to this?
Hi Sarah, no I have not contacted the warranty department regarding this issue. I don’t believe you would cover this under warranty from the responses provided by Polytec on other reviews with the sam...
Read moree issue. And considering my friend has the same product but in black, and also has the same marking issue, I believe Venette is not fit for use in a kitchen environment. This is why I have written the review to help others avoid this problem.Bench top scratches
I purchased my new kitchen Feb last year first island bench top had scratches they agreed to replace the replacement turned up with scratches when plastic covering was removed they sent it back and had another bench top sent out to find out my 6 month old kitchen has a lot of scratches but they refuse to replace it now I was told my plates and cups must be causing it so now a year old what are they going to look like in 3 years not happy at all with them

Ruined My Brand New Home that has 2 1/2 kitchens
We built a new home with Clarendon on the Gold Coast and had handover on 24 June 2022. Within 2 days had noticed all the marks that had been surfacing on all of our cupboard that are made from Polytec Black Grain Woodmatt.
