Waste of money

published

As other reviews have stated, tipod is far too light. Falls over at the mere hint of any pressure. Had to put a brick on each leg. The "bump stops" fall off at a touch - tbh, one was already off in the box. 3rd time it was used the impact action stopped working and i can't get it to move. Buy something else and save your money.
Couple that with a recent purchase of pope hose connectors that leak like a sieve and i doubt I'll be buying any more pope products in the future.

Purchased in June 2021 at Bunnings Warehouse.

Sprinkler better laying on its back

published

People out there looking for a sprinkler that stands up. Don't buy the Pope Rain Tower it works better laying down. The product team who designed & manufactured the tripod & its spikes for a long range sprinkler. Then the engineers of this are paid way to much, give me the job. A 10 year old could've thought of a better idea to keep the tripod up. It can't even handle a quarter of my tap pressure. Pathetic attempt pope!!!! Buyers!!!! Do not waste your time going through the checkout with it. Leave it on the shelf. & bunnings your giving yourselves a bad name selling it for them.

It's OK, but not great

published

We are on half an acre and for the money this is not a terribly bad way to water the lawn areas. Unlike other reviewers here we haven't had any issues with the tower falling over but then again we don't have the best water pressure. Does have a propensity to rust internally rather quickly that is exacerbated by mineral deposits.

Big negative is when this happens it's impossible to have it configured for anything but a full circle operation - it will get stuck at one end of the projected arc.

Thank you, I will be in touch. Every time I remove the hose from the base a good cup of rusty water comes out. Predominantly using it with a municipal supply that is approximately 50/50 dam/bore water but occasionally tank when reserves allow.

Dont waste your money.

I bought this from Bunnings thinking it might be good value. As others have mentioned it keeps falling over even after being continually pushed into the ground. The main pipe has rusted within the first couple of months. The clips that trip the alternating head function have fallen off somewhere in the lawn. I would take it back but I've lost my receipt.I might still try because I am that dissapointed with the waste of money.

Keeps falling over and getting stuck on the back swing

published

I have used this for about ten minutes. It fell over in 20 seconds..and again and again. Then the impact action was not working. Thought it might be grit from falling over, but cleaning did not help. Now I read all these reviews... D d d db d d d

Pope Raintower sprinkler - total junk waiting to be put in landfill

published

I bought a Pope Raintower tripod two months ago and the piece of junk is already not rotating properly and also the main metal vertical pipe is rusting badly (and that's with Sydney town water).

I also found that the tripod is far too light to be stable.

It probably only worked for 4 hours in total. Last Pope anything I ever buy.

Very disappointing

published

This sprinkler has a design flaw. The tripod is far too light to remain stable when operating. It kept falling over when the water was turned on even though it was pushed into the ground using the prongs to hold it in place. I had an older model and the tripod was very heavy and remained in position but unfortunately the connector had broken off. I was assuming the newer model to replace it would be as good, but it isn't.

Bad design

My pope sprinkler wont rotate - I use a pump and a bore water source - our water pressure is lower than mains pressure - but shouldnt be too low ? When I lightly tap the swing arm it trys to work but just wont push it back - is there an adjustment that can be made for lower pressure ?

Hi Mike,

Thank you for your question.

The Pope Rain Tower Sprinkler does require 100kPa to even move, so its not normally the best choice for a low pressure system. Check if the unit works on the normal pressure, if not, it may be a faulty spring or washer. If it works on normal water pressure, then its a pump/pressure issue.

I hope the above is helpful. If you need any further assistance, you can call our Customer Service team on 1300 134 880, Monday - Friday, 8.00am - 5.00pm CST.
