is it value for money?
Hi oscar- yes i have 100% faith in princess cruise ships as my wife and i have done 9 cruises with them and i can honestly vouch that they have incredible ships and give incredible service.
Some people have obviously been lucky. My time with Princess cruise ships has been anything but 'incredibly' good. Service was terrible, drinks costs were exorbitant (and slow for service); passenger ...
Read moreservice people were exceedingly rude; food in the 'mess hall' would not even have been acceptable in a mining camp; powerful sewage smells floated throughout the ship at all hours; toilet leaked; dinind arrangements were difficult to make; booking services operated on hours that staff wanted to do some work; entertainment was conducted by very (obviously) bored staff; music was great for the first 5 days and then started on the re-run mode etc etc. I'll NEVER cruise with princess again! Will the Diamond Princess come back to Sydney australia
Recently booked diamond princess for December 2018 from Singapore cabin price dropped $1400 enquired about refare answer No as I booked under balcony bonanza not current promo. So I think upgrade to balcony ($400) as per promo sorry no balconies available. Next option upgrade to ocean view cost $1540 I would be paying $8700 for a cabin advertised at $7095 a no win situation for me.as an elite member I feel at a disadvantage as I booked early and have only ever sailed with this cruise group since 1986. So I ask has anyone experienced this type of response and if so where is princess cruises loyalty to its passengers when anyone can walk in from the street and get better deals?
No, they wouldn't. Princess is resting on its' laurels, thinking they now have a captive audience - especially with the 'elitist' style class syetm they've introduced. Many passengers on my last cru...
Read moreise with them (emphasise: LAST) were upset that they had all paid the same fares, yet some people were obviously receiving favoured treatment. Most 'responses' from princess cruise people are simply following the party line. Passengers are NOT permitted to have a problem - and if they do, then it must be the fault of the passenger in the first place. What a mob of .....The drink package is it worth it as we are not on board the whole time and you pay for full days.
Do they have crown larger beer on the Japan cruise in August?
Hi Antoinette,
I would not go for the drinks package unless you are big drinkers & like multiple expensive cocktails every day. Wine is usually a reasonable price per bottle. I'm not sure what's avai...
Read morelable on a Japan cruise never having done it I'm afraid. Hope this might help a bit.
can you bring instant coffee on board?
I don't think this Is an issue. Also probably a good idea unless you like American style coffee. Past experience is everyone complains about it so good idea just get some hot water wherever you go.
I would like to cruise with Princess early 2018, could anyone tell me please, if there is a cabin service charge for food service on their ships now? Not being as mobile I would require several meals in my cabin! Some Companies are charging now.
A good rule of thumb with this type of cruise line is: 'if they can charge extra, they will'. And since you're a prisoner, so to speak, you pay top dollar for everything. Don't bother about tipping th...
Read moree staff; 'gratuities' will be automatically added to your bill (at about 15%, I think) for practically everything. Whether the staff ever see any of it, I don't know.I don't believe that Princess does charge for cabin service at this stage, They do charge $3 for Pizzas anytime, and after 11pm until 6am as well. Carnival, P&O, and Royal Caribbean have just started...
