Game changer!
Was given a bag of this as a substitute by Coles online & what can I say! NEVER would I have considered spending so much on litter but this stuff is a game changer! Having 3 cats this litter truly saves me time! I simply give it a stir a couple times a day & clean out Solids as they occur. I LOVE the smell of this litter and after reading some negative reviews about the smell, I have to say I'm surprised! that "cat litter" smell I get with cheap clay litter. I like that as is the same with crystal litter I can just stir it rather than have to scoop out clumps. Thanks Purina! June 10th 2017 Update: Tidy Cats you've done it again! A few weeks ago I reviewed Instant Action NON clumping & was asked if I would like a free sample of the clumping litter. Wow! I never thought I could be converted to a clumping litter but I think I am now. I love the scent of this litter (as with the non clumping instant action) & it definitely clumps in one large clump.. Doesn't fall apart as cheap litters do. My only suggestion would be to ask that you consider doing away with the plastic container.. Yes it's convenient but customers are becoming more environmentally conscious, and I hope you could find another way to package this litter. I'm not sure what the other review means when they say this litter is easily traced... Almost all litters are.

The litters perfume smells worse than the offending odours themselves
There is a small brochure that says 'stance face' advertising the Purina Tidy cats litter, I can tell you the smell of this product is worse than the offensive odours themselves, they should work at developing a better perfume, I can not buy this product anymore as the smell is stomach churning.

ls from the cats urine under control, but now I have another problem. I seriously think you should go back to the drawing board regarding the perfumes you use, maybe NO perfume would be better. NOW MY CAT WON'T EVEN USE THE LITTER TRAY, HE IS just going to the toilet on the floor next to the tray, we think it's because he too is almost overcome by the too strong a smell of the product. The strong perfume smell permeates throughout the whole house and now my family is complaining that they cannot bring anyone home with this smell. Even when I lift the rubbish bin lid to discard another dropping bag, the smell almost makes a person 'gag'...... We have a number of cats in our household, varying from 12 to 16 at any one time. These are all rescue cats that were unwanted, unsocial, deemed to be sick or older cats surrendered because of people either unable or unwilling to care for them anymore. We are looking for a suitable litter that provides good value for money that is also effective. I must admit that we haven't tried Purina litters due to the cost compared to some other brands. As we are aged pensioners value for money is imperative so any advice re a suitable litter would be very gratefully appreciated

I've gone back to Catlux (softwood/clumping litter), you can buy it in 24kg bags for about $22 at Petcircle (or less if you can get it on sale). It has great odor control, the cats like it and you can remove soiled litter and top up rather than washing and replacing the litter daily. The tracking (cats getting it in their toes and walking it around) is not great, but I like this litter. The clay litters are of course the cheapest, but are messy, dusty, smelly and need to be replaced often, so I am not sure they end up being so cheap.
