Australian Wines taste like vinegar
A sparse space lacking ambiance. Basic foods, the Australian red wines taste like vinegar.
You would be better off in the airport departure lounge. Nothing in The Quantas lounge would make you feel like you are a business traveller.

Melbourne Qantas Club Lounge = Terrible
The public space downstairs provides similar comfort. Some super cool creative designer has really mugged Qantas off here. its terrible...loud crowded absolutely zero comfort. Its like a bad cafe at a highway service stop.
QANTAS do not roll this rubbish out elsewhere PLEASE!

Melbourne Qantas Lounge
Visited the the Melbourne Qantas Club 2 weeks ago for the first time in a while. The lounge has been transformed from a very pleasant and open space to a dingy, loud alleyway.
There is no escape from the noise, everyone coming in and out walks past everyone else! Virgin in Melbourne leaves it for dead.

Melbourne Qantas Club Lounge absolutely terrible
The newly renovated Melbourne Qantas club lounge is an absolute low point in Qantas lounges across Australia.
The designers have tried to be contemporary but have completely missed the mark in terms of what members want. Many qantas club members enjoy a quiet “lounge” environment away from the bustle of the terminal. The Melbourne lounge has completely failed to provide that.
It’s noisy, overcrowded and with poor ambient lighting. It’s like a cafeteria and that’s if you’re lucky enough to even get a seat. There is not one relaxing aspect to this environment.
Don’t repeat this mistake in other locations please Qantas. You’ve really got this one terribly wrong.

Don’t join Qantas Club!!!!
Just arrived back from a return trip to Fiji on the qantas partner airline, Fiji Airlines. In preparation for our return flight we arrived at the Fiji / Qantas Club lounge only to be told we didn’t qualify because our qantas club membership was not at gold or premium. In the past we would have qualified but due to my husband being diagnosed with cancer we have not been able to fly. The young lady did say we could pay to get access. We fly qantas or their partners as we are QClub members. I have a three year membership and have been a member for 18 years. If this is how we will be treated I will not be renewing and will now investigate other airline services.

A new low in airline travel
Now let me start by stating that I have low expectations when it comes to airline customer service in this country. The Asian and Middle Eastern airlines set the pace for customer service and bring shame upon Qantas in particular. However, having just checked into the Qantas club in Cairns, even my dismally low expectations failed to be met. The very drab woman at the “reception” desk had the persona of a prison warden giving the impression she would rather be elsewhere. Frankly, for the sake of Qantas and their passengers, she would be better placed in a back office role. Perhaps it’s time to think about taking my custom and that of my organisation to the other airline.

Denied access to Qantas Singapore lounge
My husband and I went to Qantas Singapore lounge but we were Denied to enter due to capacity issue, then directed to SATS Lounge.
SATS Lounge is just ok, but not as good as Qantas Singapore lounge. There is no sparkling wine, no liqueur, no tap beer, tiger beer is warm, less variety of food, no service.
If you are a priority Pass member, you can access SATS Lounge regardless of which airline you're flying with.
There is no point to extend Qantas club membership hence there is no point to fly with Qantas anymore.

Asked to leave BEFORE I entered as BUSY.
I arrived at the Singapore QANTAS CLUB, with my staff, only to be told that the club would be busy and I should attend a " lesser " club next door. I said no...I've paid my membership personally and we should attend here.
Management was then engaged, who also told my there was no option and to come back at 8pm. Note that I am a corporate professional and requested to attend the club around 3pm. I missed the Tigers prelim game....
I am disgusted by this unprofessional behavior and advised Qantas Club I will not renew my membership.
I'm still confused that QANTAS accept payment for membership, yet can turn you to a lesser service ?
Taking this to ACCC, as this makes no sense.

Downgraded to cheaper lounges, rip off
I became a member of qantas club recently as I took a job offer in Singapore and requires a lot of traveling. In the qantas website It says you can access all qantas operated lounges, however its not true as if you are not a gold frequent flyer you will be directed to the lounge next door which is a cheap, disgusting, overcrowded lounge, with terrible food, minimum options over food and drinks. Tried to have a shower but it was not possible due to higiene and broken shower.
I was already not impressed with the poor service provided during flights, but this is a new low. I do hope to get a refund for my membership and transfer any future trips to Singapore airlines.
Shame on you qantas, I used to be a loyal customer.

3 problems W brand new qantas domestic longer at Melbourne
1. Way too small, never get a seat. At peak hour it's like a refugee camp. I have sat on the floor before now.
2. No coffee machines. Barista Queues are always too long and cups too small ....
3. To get a bowl or plate, you have to grovel on yr hands and knees to reach down for them.....
..... And the industrial buffet is uninspired, never changes n is bloody ordinary.
Sorry, just not good enough. Make it 4 times bigger n you'll be close to the vision you had.

High school cafeteria
Qantas new Melbourne lounge, albeit not Business, is a grave disappointment that has me seriously considering alternate airlines for future domestic and interernational travel, despite my lifetime Lounge membership. The opposite of what a lounge should be, the new Lounge is untidy, confusing, noisy and appears overly busy for the number of people it accomodates. I felt like i was at a school cafeteria. No natural light with outside views such as you long for to reorientate when on extended travel. No relaxing chairs. Increased noise level and f...Read more
oot traffic past your seat. Hard floors. No sound deadening features so the incessant clacking of glasses, crockery, and cutlery is noisier than the inside of a plane. I would prefer the quiet and peace of the departure gate if not for my partner, an equally disappointed lifetime Lounge member, who wants a preflight drink. Qantas continues to downgrade and cheapen the experience of flying Qantas.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
New Melbourne Qantas lounge
The new Melbourne lounge is awful. Now designed as an overly lit overly stuffed noisy food court. The point of a lounge is supposed to be relaxation and space - does not offer this at all.
I honestly was confused at first and thought it was just a temporary space whilst they build the real thing.
Waste of money and waste of being loyal to rack up points.
Time to change airline.

Melbourne domestic upgrade?
Recently had time in the newly updated (still underway) lounge at Melbourne. It used to be a sanctuary, a place to think and do a bit of work before boarding. They have obviously gone for the Chadstone Food Court vibe ensuring lots of noise, limited seats, very few power points, very limited bathroom facilities and a single coffee machine. The bar is nicely stocked but inaccessible because the staff are struggling to keep up with coffee demand. Zero natural light, no copiers or computers available, food only average. It was more peaceful in the...Read more
actual food court at the exit from security, and bars and cafes near the departure gates were far more pleasant. Actually makes the appalling International Business Dungeon seem appealing. Will make my international connections out of Sydney in the future, clearing space for some other ‘sucker’.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

A waste of money
Qantas club, Perth, chockablock with FIFO workers in their work clothes sitting on the floor, people stepping over feet and legs All tables were occupied. Tables were piled high with used cups, plates, papers, coffee counter was 20 people deep. I didn’t even get a coffee. Nowhere to sit, paid top dollar for membership - not the very cheap commercial rates. I complained and did not renew membership. The staff member I spoke with couldn’t have cared less. Total waste of money. Save your thousands of dollars and spend elsewhere.

Melbourne’s new domestic lounge
The 2018 Qantas lounge update has transformed their lounge space from a somewhat exclusive (if starting to get a little tired) lounge, to a space more reminiscent of a busy, modern hospital cafeteria / food court. It is not relaxing. It is not a pleasant place to spend any amount of time. Everything about the space feels as though it has been tarred with the ‘jetstar-cheap’ brush, with messages painted on the walls telling visitors that ‘your new lounge is inspired by the laneways of Melbourne’. Mr Joyce.... nobody cares where anyone within your design think tank thought inspiration should have been drawn. A lounge should be a comfortable place to relax. There is little to set this space apart from the terminal outside the ‘lounge’.

Refurbished Melbourne Lounge
I fly frequently and was excited by the prospect of the Melbourne lounge being refurbished... I have just spent 2 hours in the Sydney lounge... and now am sitting for another 2 hours in Melbourne. What a contrast... Sydney although packed was relaxing... Melbourne very noisy with hard floors rather than carpet... and spaces that make you feel as though you are surrounded by people rather than giving a feeling of relaxation a separation... I actually thought a couple of areas looked like they were designed for children then realised they were not family zones... either motivation to go for platinum or switch to virgin. Qantas Club as a product... I had this until I became gold... definitely not worth the expense.

Qantas Club Members often downgraded to other lounges
Have been a Qantas Club member for over 20 years and after paying thousands of dollars in membership fees over the years we are finding their capacity has been oversubscribed and have now found ourselves sitting in quite an inferior lounge in Singapore than the one we expected.
So many Qantas passengers are complaining and are suggesting legal action as the services they have paid for and expect, are not being supplied. It must also be damaging to the airline as the joint shared lounge being utilised by other airlines passengers are hearing aw...Read more

New Qantas Club Melb airport
Modern, but missing natural light, views of the airport gone, min seating, could have done better. Loooks more like the American Airlines Admiral club, a little on the boring side.
