Bought this twenty years ago and still goes magnificently AND quietly. Ducted to the outside and works a treat. The only problem we have ever had was in the first decade of its life, when the clips holding in the metal filters were made of plastic and this cracked periodically and needed replacement. The manufacturers finally switched to metal clips, sent us some, and we have never had a problem since. A friend recently installed a different rangehood costing megadollars, It is noisy My Robinhood Grange is much better all round - still! Rosie in New Zealand

I recently purchased the RCA2AI6SS 600mm Compact Canopy. I purchased it because I had a similar one (Robinhood 9000 Electronique) for 33 years until it shorted out and smoked. It had been great up until it died. The new RCA2AI6SS 600mm Compact Canopy is a complete heap of junk. It is extremely badly made and the suction is absolutely woeful. When it was installed the fan did not turn because the motor mount was bent and the fan hit the fan guard. I fixed that problem by bending the flimsy motor mount so the fan could turn. DO NOT GET THIS RANGE HOOD even if it was given to you. If I made a product this badly and cheaply, I would be ashamed to put my name on it. I hope that all Robinhood products are not this bad. I feel totally ripped off.

You would have to also pay the installation costs as well. I would never have another one of your products again.
Lights failed within weeks, and technician came out 3 times and it couldn't be fixed. No one from the company could help with the problem and sent 3 different parts which none of them worked. Suction is a joke and the noise is pretty bad. However they did replace it with a new one because they could not fix the lights, which we sent back and brought a Fisher & Pykel.
this was the cheapest and ours is ducted outside. A second one will have to be berecirculated in our extension
