Looks like we have the same issue as gonads63. We purchased it from Harvey Norman Rotorua in November and only just had it installed with an electrician. They are rubbish and we want our money back to spend on something better. I will be contacting them once this lockdown covid thing is over.

Hi Alexis. Our electrician has been out at our expense to solve the issue with the flaps not opening. The flaps simply should not extend above the flange, which is the cause of the problem. The fix entailed extending the flange with pipe so the flaps could open un-impeded as per gonads63's issue on this forum. This is clearly a design fault that Robinhood new about based on gonads63 review and post and yet nothing has been done prior to my purchase. I have photos I can show you. Our electrician is going to charge us to rectify this design fault and I am going to pass the account on to Rotorua Harvey Norman for at least a credit for the costs. Be aware this was the curved range hood. The Adonis 900. A more expensive model than the one that Gonads63 had. Our Electrician says the product is not fit for purpose as we had to introduce another product (pipe) to fix the issue. There is no indication within the installation instructions that a fault would arise from using the type of ducting we have.

Hi, we have installed one of these units in our daughters kitchen, as with the reviews above even on the lowest setting the noise from the unit is excessive, is there anything that can be done to reduce this, its not a flue issue thats all be checked it is the noise from the motor, thanks Tina

Sorry but we were advised that there's nothing that can be done about the noise. We ended up not using the extraction side of it and just used the lights until a mouse very kindly chewed through the wiring and we replaced it with a Blanco which we are so happy with, we can actually hold a conversation while standing next to it!!!

Hi Tina

I trust you read my review re the flue, in particular the 'butterfly' being caught in the flexi duct (rigid ducting prevents this and also reduces the noise slightly as the technician informed us). In summary once re remedied the butterfly issue it operates great EXCEPT yes it is noisy.....next house we will put a high quality vac pac in, yes a lot more cost but that's what you have to pay to minimise the noise! We only chose this model as we liked the glass canopy and was the best option for the aesthetics...otherwise we would have bought I better quality quiet one...
