Great Design and Interface
We picked up a 50 inch model for a good price in the lead up to Christmas as a bit of an early Christmas present to ourselves to replace our aging (but still functional) 42 inch TV.
One of the best things about it is the user friendly interface which gives quick and easy access to the apps that installed, meaning we can quickly resume Netflix or turn on the Xbox with just 2 clicks on the remote.
Hooking up to our home Wifi was super easy. The sound quality seems pretty standard for a TV, nothing to complain about here.
It also has USB record...Read more

Just a base model
It's not as slim design as I expected from LED TV (Harvey Norman sale for $895) Picture quality is not as good as 55" series 6. Small remote control which is handy. You can connect to internet straight which is good. I would prefer pay extra few dollars ($899) to get 55" series 6.

Good value for the money
Good 4K TV replacing our full HD. Samsung is the best brand for 4K TV s. Picture quality isn’t as good as the Series 8. Remote is average. Sound quality is great. Easy to control Smart functionality. Easy to install. Great value for under a $1000. 50 inch screen is big enough for a 3 meter distance

Psst .. the TV is trying to listen to you.
Right, well let's call it like it is. You're not going to buy a 6 series Samsung TV and expect OLED type performance or the latest and greatest features. This is a smart TV pitched fairly and squarely at those on a tight budget. We managed to pick one up for well under a grand - so I'd say 'tick' on the value stakes. 4K resolution, advanced smart features 'tick' & 'tick'. Not much to complain about there.
Hardware wise, pretty much everything is catered for and apart from a lack of a line out or headphone out, there's also all the usual HDM...Read more
I, optical and network connectivity one would want or need. Picture quality is not that great out of the box admittedly. You also need to stay fairly much in-line to the optimum viewing angle as the screen quickly appears washed out if you step out of the sweet-spot. With a little tuning you can actually get a fairly decent image out of this set - sure it'll never be a nice as a high end unit but for the price you really shouldn't be disappointed. The big letdown for me was the reliance on the included smart remote. Often simple is better, but in this case the simplification isn't going to be to everyone's liking. The remote lacks many direct button features (e.g. a simple number pad for example). There's a central four way switch to handle most navigation features and thankfully a channel as well as volume up/down toggle. The 'smart' feature about this remote is that it includes voice control and a microphone. You just need to hold the mic button and say something like "aheam .. 1... 2.. testing, testing .. is this thing on?". TV responds by saying "yea what do you want?. Did you want channel 2? If not, I can do this, this or that .. or even this". Not the quickest way to select channels, but for the gizmo fanatic it may be something that keeps you amused. It actually works reasonably well - that is if you like speaking to your TV or the fact that you have an internet enabled device which potentially listens to all your conversations. Personally I would have preferred a more standard controller. Like many low-end TV's, it struggles with upscaling. Free to air standard definition content looks quite ordinary with significant artefacts. This is where some some of the higher priced variants will certainly outshine it. Any full-HD content however brings the picture quality back into line and on 4K you'll certainly be quite happy with the photo like images dancing on the screen. All the popular apps are there and so is screen mirroring or control via a mobile phone. Anyway, it's not the best TV out there and nor can it be at this price point. As far as the smart features go, it definitely fulfils many of the features that you'd be paying lots more for on higher end sets, so in summary - It's a darn good value purchase .. as long as you can live with that awful remote.Similar opinion? BEST TV I HAVE OWNED
Although I have had a fair share of large HD TV's, this has by far the best picture quality. It is also the first Smart TV I have owned. It is very easy to use and great to access all your online apps such as Netflix and Stan. It connects all your other devices and recognizes them so its very easy to navigate through your DVD player or PlayStation. It even has a voice control option which is a bit of fun but doesn't get a whole lot of use. By the time you tell it what to do and it gets to your desired channel ect. You can easily manually change the channel or setting. But still a nice Feature.

Crystal clear TV with all the extras
We use this as our main TV. It is crystal clesr with great sound. I love that you can watch Netflix, YouTube, iview etc without needing to connect anything else.
The only feature I miss is the hole in the base to screw it to the furniture so the kids can't pull it over. A key safety feature that all heavy TVs should have.

Mind blown!
I’d been using a non-Smart tv for the past 10 years. I decided it was time to upgrade when my old tv started playing up. I wanted to stick with Samsung because of their good name and I wasn’t disappointed.
The picture quality is amazing and speakers are excellent. I love that the remote has only a small amount of buttons but is voice controlled. I use the Netflix app a fair amount.
Samsung has definitely impressed me with this TV.

The techknoledgy is by far one of the smartest things of the 21 century in Samsung Tvs.
Very satisfy and looking forward to more smart Tvs from Samsung comparing to other brands. Good product - one issue
I was very satisfied with this product. As I recently moved out of home I was able to buy a lot of new products for myself. Though one thing I was not happy about was a massive scratch on the actual unit. Took it back to the shops the same day and got a replacement thankfully! The picture quality and colours are absolutely stunning though! it is a great product and I couldn't go back to my old Samsung TV.

A VERY GOOD PRODUCT
I bought my new TV a month ago and it has given me nothing but pleasure. You are able to access an e-manual via the TV or there is a very quick response by email if you go into their support site.
The picture quality is extremely good as is the sound and of course, you can access the HD channels as well as free to air and Austar.
I'm very satisfied with it and would thoroughly recommend it.

I bought the SAMSUNG Smart TV in July 2017. It no longer connects to the internet. Just suddenly stopped, so we thought it may need an extender/repeater, bought a top of the range for $170+ and still no luck. What should we do, It's only 16 months old. I have spent loads of $'s with IT experts to try and get it connected to no avail. What is recommended?
