I have a similar Samsung model UA55MU6103WXXY. With a brand Asus model Zen UX430UNR laptop miracast keeps on disconnecting every 5 to 10 minutes on Windows 10. On another LG tv Asus laptop connects fine. My LG Android mobile connects fine to the Samsung TV.

Anyone come across this before?

Thanks for coming through, Brisdaz. From what you have described, it may be best to contact tech support for your laptop, as it seems other devices have no issues utilising Miracast to your Samsung TV.

Alternatively you are welcome to contact us via the number below and a team member may be able to assist you in troubleshooting this for you.

The Asus laptop works on other LG TVs means it may be some strange incompatibility.

See https://superuser.com/questions/1511965/asus-zenbook-samsung-mu6103-miracast-keeps-on-disconnecting-after-5-minutes where I've asked more technical users.

I'm hoping to find other Samsung TV customers who can confirm or deny Miracast is working properly.

For those reading it later on:

Temporary Workaround

I connected the laptop to WiFi router via 5GHZ; then connected Miracast; then switched laptop to Wifi router via 2.4GHZ. This works fine for longer then 30 minutes so far.

However this is not a long term fix as 2.4GHZ is slower then 5GHZ. I am still not sure what the root cause issue is.

The tv is only 5 months old, yesterday for the first time I saw a distorted 2 inch section at the bottom of the TV and a few blocks in the middle. I shut the tv off and checked my cables, I turned it back on it was fine for about 15 minuets the problem returned, then seconds after that a screen at the top said update OK I clicked OK. It has been two days now and the problem has not returned. My question is, Is this normal for an update or is my tv slowly starting to die?

how can the bose ( I have Bose Sound Touch) system be connected with this TV??

Hi - Can't you use the USB or other ports available on the system?

Brewster

Unsure of what model Bose Sound Touch you have, however if it has b/tooth should not be an issue connecting to the TV.
Alternatively you could try running it through your Amplifier to the TV via HDMI cable.
I know the system settings on the TV are difficult to work through at the best of times, I messed around for an hour or so setting up the Bluetooth headphones.
Hope this helps.

This may sound really obvious, but are you using the volume up down buttons on the left side of the remote, or the speaker looking button that mutes? I haven't had that issue, but if it continues I'd try and see if there are any updates you can download for the TV. The Samsung helpline people are also very good.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

If you push the volume button down, it mutes. If you push it forward (toward the top of the remote) it increases the volume. Push it towards the bottom of the remote to decrease the volume.

Does this come with a touch sensitive remote controlling a cursor on the screen?

1 answer

NO!!
Having an earlier Samsung which does have this feature, I gad assumed it would be included, like on the LG. I won't make the mistake again.
Tried a wireless keyboard/touchpad, but only the keyboard part functioned.

Has anyone had any issues with light bleed or flash lighting on the mu6100? I bough the 55inc one yesterday and around the edges there is quite a bit of clouding during dark scenes or credits. Does anyone know how to fix it? How much is too much and should I take it back for replacement?

That doesn't sound good. I have not had an issue. I would think a replacement is in order.

This has been happening with mine since I bought it. No one understands what I am trying to say or describe this occurrence.
They have been dragging out the customer service until it is too late to send it back but today I gave up waiting and have demanded a refund.
I understand totally the frustration that you have. I hardly watch any tv because of this shadowing.
All the best no one will understand what you are saying. they didn't believe me as well. all the best.

I have since found out that the XXY suffix refers to Australian versions, so every MU6100 sold here is, in fact, an XXY
