It hangs and restarts continuously. lines came all over the screen, tv hangs and restarts.
It’s a really big headache. Dont know now what to do as even go to repair it cost a big amount. Also not taking my Internet as wireless so need to get lab cable for that and still loading a lot. Bought thinky that would be a my dream TV but unfortunately very disappointed.
Purchased in September 2021.

It hangs and restarts continuously. lines came all over the screen, tv hangs and restarts. i checked youtube, many forums for this problem but no one can tell why this issue is. Not happy Jan
THE GOOD: Great Picture quality. Nice streamlined look.
THE BAD:
1; At first we were very happy with our Samsung TV but after a few weeks of trying use the motion & voice control we quickly realized it was useless. The sound was also rather weak due to the small tinny speakers at the back of the unit. We had to buy a soundbar to get good sound.
The smart hub was OK but the the apps were slow and clunky and streaming anything like catch up TV was often impossible. YouTube & Surfing the net was also a pain, the TV keyboard is extremely fru...Read more

The bad things.. Who cares about the good?
The EPG is terrible, non responsive and can take 5 minutes after the tv turns on to even work.
The new touch and voice activated remote - terrible - got put away after 2 weeks.
Voice rec and motion detection - don't bother. The voice activation bleeds from the shows your watching into the mic.. Was good for one thing, changing channels or turning on tv while I was doing dishes or cooking. No kids. The motion sensors also would incorrectly think someone was waving hands around while sitting there doing nothing.
These days the tv is co...Read more
nnected to an Apple TV and I stream youtube almost continually or watch iTunes movies and tv shows. The joys of being on the NBN and any documentary I want being available on YouTube. The foxtel app was also ok while using it before foxtel doubled the price. However every time I open smart hub now it wants to update for 20 minutes.Similar opinion? Amazing Picture Quality
I researched 65 inch LED TV's for 2 or 3 months and decided to go with the Samsung UA65ES8000 and we are pleased we did the picture quality is amazing. You can really see the difference in picture quality from HD to normal TV. Certainly would not go any lower than a 65 inch and our lounge is not very big. We only bought the TV for the picture quality so are not going to be bothered with the other features. Have tried the 3D and that is awesome although there is not much of a huge selection of 3D Blu Ray movies. We also have the Samsung HT-E6750...Read more
W Blu Ray Home Entertainment System connected to the TV and I would highly recommend this as the sound is brilliant. Certainly notice the sound quality without it. The TV was very easy to set up with the on screen instructions as they do not make hard copy manuals. Remote control very easy to use. Purchased it from 2nd's World at a huge discount to retail price and the TV is brand new. Price, Picture Quality is Awesome NoneSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Brilliant Picture
We purchased a 55" unit after researching TV's for the last year or so. Nothing happens quickly in my house when it comes to shelling out the hard earned!
55" was definitely the 'right' size for the lounge as we didn't want to overpower the space with a monster screen.
The picture is amazing - 2D/3D and together with the very thin bezel and stylish stand has become an attractive addition to the lounge. It's functional, easy to set up and has very good sound quality.
The Smart TV functions are excellent with some very useful features....Read more
I do have to agree with some points other reviewers have made - don't buy this just because of the voice input or gesture recognition. I have used the voice input to 'search' on the internet features (easier than using the remote to type stuff in) and is sometimes handy but the gesture feature is virtually useless and doesn't work that well. A 7000 series TV would probably do just as well whilst maintaining the useful features.1 comment
We bought this TV and it has a fantastic picture. The downsides to it show that Samsung really has litlte idea about consumer concerns.

Brilliant Picture - Pointless everything else
Specifically bought this 65" tv for the picture quality and I have to say it is brilliant. Whilst watching Avatar in 3D i found myself consistently amazed at the clarity and level of detail and depth this screen produced.
Sadly - all the gimmicky cr@p samsung put on the rest of this set is pretty much a pointless sales ploy that should be completely ignored by any sensible tv buyer. The only exception to this could be youtube but good luck trying to type your searches in with any reasonable speed and accuracy.
The "apps" just seem like a sm...Read more

Amazing 65 inch picture quality. No regrets buying this television!
Having researched this purchase for over 18 months we finally were seduced by 40 months interest free at Joyce Mayne. We went for the 65 inch....we thought it would look too big. My how we were wrong... We sit less than 2 metres from the television and it looks perfect! The clarity and definition is scarily realistic. Voice control and hand control gets a bit of getting used to but Angry Birds is good way to practice!
The picture is the best we have ever seen!

Not what I expected.
I have had the new Samsung 8000 series TV for a few months now and must say I am disappointed in some of its features.
With the purchase of the TV I also purchased the slimline wall mount kit. It wasn't long before I realized that the kit did not fithe TV correctly. I searched the Internet and could not work out which was the correct kit for the TV so I then called Samsung and was informed by them that they had not in fact released a kit that suited the 8000 series yet. In the end I had to modify the kit hat I bought so that he TV could be hu...Read more

My TV doesn't recognise or see my wireless network when I try to set it up using the network connection instructions. How can I solve this? I don't need a seperate wireless LAN adaptor for this model do I?
2 answers
The ES8000 has built in wifi. Can the tv see other wifi networks near you? If none are near you can you turn a wifi hotspot on your phone and see if the tv can see that network?
Otherwise, ensure your router is using a 2.4ghz band not a 5ghz. And obviously that you can connect other devices like your phone to your wifi router.
Divide and conquer, figure out if it's the tv or the router first. If it is the tv and the internal wifi is broken, if you have no wired network port near your tv you can purchase netgear Ethernet over Power (not Power over Ethernet) it allows you to plug in 2 adapters into power outlets and use your houses electrical wiring as your network cabling. I don't think sin
All my other devices, PC iMac etc see all local networks.TV sees none. I'll try Ethernet over power net gear adaptor,, but I'll take the TV upstairs to the router first and plug in using Ethernet cable to confirm it's just wireless that isn't working. Thanks for your help!
