No wonder it has been discontinued!

published

Easy to use, but disappointed with the spin cycle. Doesn’t seem to spin as hard as it needs to. Won’t allow spin cycle to run by itself, so clothes come out damper than necessary.

Purchased in January 2021 for A$800.00.

Thanks for the suggestion, however, we’ve had issues with the spin only function not working either.

Working fine until lid hinge cracked/broke

published

Bought a new Samsung 6.5kg 'top loader' in 2015. 2 weeks ago, the lid separated from top of machine without warning. Contacted Samsung Customer Support who asked for photo's of damage & purchase receipt. Within 3 days, authority to repair was granted & local Samsung repairer replaced entire top under warranty.

Purchased in April 2021 at Harvey Norman for A$650.00.

Useless Piece of Space Junk

published

I have used many washing machines in my time and this Samsung product tops the list of the worst of the worst. Unfortunately I had to give it a single star rating because you have to select something better than zero!
The need to pull washing apart constantly since items become entangled so bad its like trying to undo a very badly tightened shoe lace knot, items become stretched and out of shape, poor spin cycle leaves clothes too wet & badly wrinkled. Lint filter, what a joke-my clothes still have lint on them from washing cycles long ago. Don't get me started on the tub clean cycle. Consumers, please look elsewhere for a value for money machine. This will be the first and only time I own a Samsung!

Purchased in March 2021.

Flimsy piece of equipment

published

the spinning has come to a stop all of a sudden, the machine was making strange smell like burning rubber, we have checked the belt seems to be all good, the lid opens and triggers off the pause therefore assuming it's OK, hell knows what 's holding up the spin cycle.

Purchased in February 2021 at Betta Home Living for A$459.00.

Affordable, lightweight and Modern Design

published

Wow!!! I love this washing machine. The design is original and modern. It is lightweight, so it's much more convenient when moving out. Easy maintenance and cleaning. There is a small music at the end of a wash cycle that I don’t find annoying, but some people don’t like it.

Best washing machine I have ever used...

published

It’s cheaper than some other models but it’s a great machine for general use. It gets the job done perfect every time. Wouldnt recommend it high enough. It’s a shame that they have discontinued this product because it’s well worth the money. The only down side is that it can be very annoying when it wants attention. It constantly beeps when it’s finished or overloaded.

Bad selection

published

Bought this machine in 2017 and I have to pull my washing apart. Sheets get tightly knotted. If I wash jeans and undies together they are completely entangled in knots using the Fuzzy program. Slightly better using the delicate program. I would have tried n kind of washing detergents in a hope that something would work this machine but unfortunately nothing worked. Washing quality is too bad.

Great machine!!

published

I bought this machine near new, second hand. It is absolutely fab! Washes our clothes so well! Have noticed such a difference! So many reviews about clothes ending up tangled etc however never had a problem. Best machine I’ve owned, I’ve always owned a front loader and this machine by far is the best I’ve ever had - and I’ve bought brand new usually!

It is the best washing machine i have had

published

We have a big family of 7. The washing machine averages 2-3 washes per day. We have never had an faults or breakdowns in the 3 years we have had it. Thats over 2000 loads with no issues at all. I have recently sold it in full working condition not for any fault of the product but due to getting a front loader for new house. I would recommend this washer highly.

Good machine

published

Had this machine for 2 years now. It's very reliable. Nothing has ever gone wrong with it. It has a tub clean setting which is great. The magic filter works great and so easy to empty. When it's finished it plays a little tune and then stops. It doesnt play reminder sounds like some other which I think is great.I find you can fit extra in each load because there's no agitator. Very good machine.

Waste of money

published

Cracks on lid started appearing within 6 months. Doesn't have agitator so clothes didn't rinse all water as well as a machine with an agitator. The lid broke off in my hands after only just over 3 years (bought new) it had snapped off when I lifted it up to put clothes in (on opposite side from previous cracks). Harvey Norman refused to honour the extended warranty that I had paid for. Im extremely unhappy that a washing machine can break in this way when it's not even 3.5 years old. I'll never buy anything from Harvey Norman again and I'll never get extra warranty. It's an absolute disgrace. For anyone needing a washing machine I would steer clear of Samsung brands and Harvey Norman.

Decent washing machine

published

Good basic top loading washing machine that does the job with minimal bells and whistles. Cleans well and features an impeller drum which means no stick down the middle and more capacity for clothes. Only complaint is clothes get tangled pretty easily with this type of drum especially long sleeved work shirts which makes it hard to unload.
Other than that the machine is easy to clean, features both an automatic function and also quickwash which is really the only 2 functions you will need!

Worst machine ever

published

Tangled clothes tight into a ball so they come out wrinkled and stretched
Becomes unbalanced with even the smallest loads so might as well be the manual machine from 1950s as you spend half your time repositioning the clothes so it can continue to wash
Really disappointing - would never by a machine without a central agitator again

I have had this washing machine for about 4 years. Never had a problem. Always washes clothes well & an easy machine to keep running. It is a quiet machine & plays a song at end of each load! Clothes have never been ruined. Gets used a lot and hasn’t let me down!

Wonderful machine

published

This is a great compact washing machine (ours is the 6.5kg). Works well and sings a little song at the end when it is done (cute!) Great easy to use settings. Ours broke but they came and fixed it under warranty. Next time I will get a bigger one so I can wash blankets, it is just a bit too small to do this.

Owned for just 2 years and broken.

published

Washed clothes well,
Quite loud in drain and spin cycles.
Didn't last any longer than the warranty and paid a washing machine repairer to repair, but he pulled it apart and said the gearbox was no good and would cost nearly as much as a new machine to get fixed.
Very disappointed as my wife was a huge Samsung fan but with this kind of failure I'm not sure I'd ever buy one again.

Worst WM I've ever used

published

I rarely write reviews but want to warn others so they don't end up as dissatisfied as I am. This WM is fine as long as you don't wash fabrics, such as polar fleece, that absorb a lot of water. Unfortunately, they throw the WM out of balance on the spin cycle. As the machine is programmed to empty and start the spin cycle again when it's out of balance, the machine can do this repeatedly. Consequently, I can't leave home when my WM is running.

Cleans Beautifully

published

This is such a good machine and such an improvement from our old one! It looks great and runs quietly and clothes come out feeling very clean. There are many programs and you can dial it down for really good water saving on light loads. Clothes spin out very dry for a top loader. We are happy with it and hope to have this for many years .

Great machine. Very happy.

published

We recently upgraded to this model after our old Samsung washer retired (after 10 years of hard labour).
Couldn't be happier with the new machine. It is reliable, quiet and does a great job. Especially love the air turbo option which leaves clothes much dryer so they can be simply hung on an indoor drying rack for a fast finish.
Thank you Samsung!

My water is only trickling into the machine. I have tried using the cold and hot hoses but both are not working properly. Is there anything else I can trouble shoot before I need to take it to get fixed. Would rather not head to the shops if not needed. Thanks :)
