Most reliable easy machine!
Love this washing machine, it was a bargain price online, it’s so easy to use even hubby can use it! It’s got a range of different cycles to choose from you can even change the water levels and temperatures!
It’s a top loader that is super easy to use you can throw stuff in even after it starts it’s cycle, it sings out when it’s done, the general cycle is only 38 minutes l, I love the clear window on top to see what’s going on and it’s compact!

Should have asked for Refund not Replace
I wish I chose refund option instead of replace during recall. This washing machine's cycles are far too long!. I tried using manual settings as per instruction book and it changes the time to 2 hours no matter what I do. I want quick loads not long ones!. I find that it struggles finding water level - most often I have to stand there watching it and hit the start button after 5 min. My clothes are constantly tangled. It's not great on electricity. I also cannot connect it to the app on my phone. The power off function is annoying and so is the little tune at the end. Must admit it is quiet and love the delay feature.

Never again
Worst washing machine or should I say machine as it was no good washing
You have to change rinse temperature every time you wash and the fabric softener draw was only good for low was it was so small and as for the other programs to wash ?? Well it was a waste of time

Great washing machine!
Our entire family uses Samsung washing machines. They have many functions to meet out needs and they last. I am using my second one because the first had to be recalled - and even then, it didn't give me any problems. My mum has hers for over ten years and my brother uses on in his household too.
Great buy. Must buy.

Just right for us.
This is a quiet and reliable machine which we use every day. With a family of four there are always school uniforms and work clothes that need to keep in rotation. I can put this machine on and set it to start and be finished in time to hang out before work... and it's quiet!!!! it sings a little tune at the end but no annoying beeping like our old machine. There are a variety of settings for all fabrics and I'm pleased with the amount of washing I can fit into a load that still comes out clean.

Got this replacement for the recalled unit - Good but not best
Received a call from Samsung for second recall on the washing machine, he asked do I want to repair/refund/replacement? I chose a new replacement as I am fine with my old Samsung washing machine.
I received the washing machine less than 2 weeks from that calls, happy with the delivery time. However, they are not doing any installation or even unpack the box.. it is quite hard to unpack a washing machine with just 1 person.
Pro:
Drum Clean Function (near 2 hours !!!)
Looks
Quiet (but engine rotate sound funny, hard to explain the new engine noise)
Air-Turbo for bad weather clothes dry

Can't Fault Anything
I got this Samsung washer as a replacement for a Samsung recalled machine. It works brilliantly. Samsung's service was great with replacing my last machine and this machine is easily as good as my old one.
It has everything my old machine had and also has a drum clean function (which I haven't used yet). It has the Air Turbo which is great for getting clothes extra dry before putting on an airer. It is simple to use, press power, press start. The sensing time is much longer than my old machine and the wash cycles a little longer but I am ve...Read more
ry happy. Possibly the best thing is that it isn't white, it is metallic silver. Considering my last machine's white plastic turned yellow over the last few years, i am happy to have a machine that this wont happen to. Be aware that the stated dimensions for the width, do not include the drainage pipe which drains out of the left side. I had enough room for mine luckily, but it isn't stated anywhere in the manual and the pictures are inconclusive as to where the drainage pipe is situated.1 comment

Excellent Machine - Quiet, no lint
Having read some of the reviews on here before this machine arrived (was a free replacement via the Samsung machine recall), I was concerned that there would be lint etc as was previously mentioned. Gladly, those worries were not founded. Exceptionally quiet, even better than the already good one it replaced

Love it!!
Love my new Samsung Washing Machine. No large agitator and doesn't tangle clothes. It is extremely quiet and very easy to use. Does''t take long for clothes to dry after hanging on line. Very happy with the choice of wash cycles, I use Fuzzy and Quick Wash most of the time.

So far so good on this replacement for our recalled unit
This new machine, which we have done about 5 washes in so far, seems to have a slightly better action and is much quieter than the recalled one. Washes very well and clothes 1/2 dry when cycle is finished. We bought another Samsung when we got the recalled machine refunded, as we were very happy with the washing ability of the other machine and this one uses the same basic principle. Fuzzy logic is great for automatically weighing the amount of clothes and figuring how much water to use. We have had NO PROBLEMS WITH ANY LINT as some other pe...Read more
ople have reported. We do clean the lint filter after every wash though, maybe that's the secret. It is important to put the bigger, heavier clothes at the bottom and smaller stuff on the top for a tangle-free wash.1 comment
After 1 year, this replacement machine started doing crazy things like changing the water level to max by itself, error codes that made no sense and a few other things. The service people came once t... Read more
o repair it but didn't have the correct parts so we were waiting for those parts. However, today, Samsung called and offered to refund our money or send through a store credit to the Good Guys where we got this model to replace the one that burned down houses. We opted for the store credit and we have replaced it with a Fisher & Paykel which was delivered the same day, and the Samsung was picked up, all charged to Samsung. Please, let this be the end of our washing machine woes!!! I do have to credit Samsung for the trouble they have gone to re this problem, but it wouldn't have been necessary if they had built a decent machine to begin with, IMO!Similar opinion? We're happy
Personally our washing machine is fabulous. Fuzzy is our standard wash cycle. Collects lint in the filters so I'm surprised with this feedback. I use this site a lot and often reviews cause so much confusion so sorry people but I'm about to add to that. The only issue I may have, is that the clothes get quite tangled once cycle is finished but other than that washes really well, no lint no leak (although did leak at initial installation because my husband did not fit drain hose properly and just make sure it's sitting even on the floor) other than that we're happy!.

Not happy!!!
Bought this machine as my old LG front loader had spun its barrel loose, so wasn't worth repairing. Wanted to go back to a top loader, so went online and checked various models. Samsung models had average or above reviews, so decided to go with them. What a mistake! Firstly the machine that was delivered had a leak, so true to The Good Guys word, they replaced it the next day, no questions asked - so top marks to them. I noticed even with that machine that lint was an issue. When the second machine turned up, lint was still an issue. Aft...Read more
er quite a few loads, I emailed Samsung regarding this, and was given several 'suggestions' as to how to fix it (ha! - such as making sure there's enough water - the machine has fuzzy logic, it determines its own water level: next suggestion - turn clothes inside out - well this just gives the lint a place to gather on the then outside of the clothing, and how do they suggest I turn my sheets inside out). So after replying to their suggestions, I ended up telling them they needed to send a repair man - and found out there's apparently nothing wrong with the machine! So needless to say I am now stuck with a machine that leaves lint on just about everything!!! And you can forget about their supposed being gentle on clothes - my clothes come out all tangled and stretched, so looks like I'll be saving as fast as I can for another machine (one that doesn't twist and damage my clothes, and that doesn't leave lint on everything). It's quiet Lint on absolutely everything, tangles and stretches my clothes3 comments
Um, even though this machine has fuzzy logic, there is a button on the left that can manually adjust the water level if you feel that is needed. Also these machines have a lint filter. Maybe you need to sort your washloads more carefully.
I regularly adjust the water level, but considering I've just completed a load of sheets, the water level was on the max, and there is a massive amount of lint on my chocolate brown sheets - looks abs... Read more
olutely disgusting - am now going to have to re-wash my sheets (again!) and hope that they come out cleaner next time. Oh and by the way, I clean the lint filter every week (I never wait until the machine tells me to do it). Am STILL waiting for Samsung to refund me for the machine so I can go and buy one that actually cleans my clothes without leaving lint on them.Sometimes I think it's just the clothes we buy these days. Hopeless stitching and poor quality material which begins to disintegrate once sunlight falls upon it.

hi.. ive been offered this machine as a replacement. can anyone tell me how long a normal typical wash takes? i dont want the machine if it takes 3-4hrs!!
also re the drain hose.. has anyone simply drilled a hole in their tub that may sit next to the machine, to feed the drain hose through the wall of ghe tub and enable a tub to sit closer to the machine? what i was planning to do.. thx
3 answers
my machine drains into the tub, make sure hose is positioned so that water doesn't spray everywhere and nothing blocks the plug hole.
my top loader has a cycle that takes about an hour or a quick one which is about half hour, a lot of other choices too.
hi. thanks for your reply. so to clarify, this machine takes about an hour for normal wash?
and can anyone comment on my plan to cut a hole in the side of the tub so as to feed the hose in through the hole to enable the tub to sit closer to the machine. the hose will still drain in the tub where the hose normally gets inserted but just go through a hole lower in the tub that i will cut?
It has quick cycle but don't take it the wash it self is no good clothing is still dirt even if you add 20min to the wash

With the Air Turbo do I have to select it manually or is it automatic?
3 answers
You need to select manually and only 30 min option available now. Missed the 15 min on the old model.
sorry I haven't used this function but have a at look at the instruction booklet. I think it's a press the button till the choice comes on thing... good luck. or google the info for the model on-line if you've lost your booklet
As stated, it is only 30 minutes now. I find it annoying that it remembers it too. When powering on the next time, it will still be set to Air Turbo. The old machine i had reset this every time back to default.

Thinking of getting this machine but our drainage slot (and the sink) is on the right side of the space. Does that matter? Will the hose reach behind the machine to the other side?
2 answers
The drainage hose is quite long, around 1 metre 50 cm. It comes out the bottom left and does stick out a bit, but should easily reach behind and up to the sink hole. I can send photos if need be.
The hose on my machine comes out on the side, behind the machine and over to the other side to our sink. As Chris29579 said it does stick out a little, about 10cm and curls around to the back.

I used the Drum Clean function for the first time. It takes nearly two hours! Not really sure of the benefit of it, uses hot water and probably wont do it again.
