Coppernox pot
Scanpan coppernox pot set 8 years old.
At year 6 the rubber handles were popping out and needing resetting at every use.
Changed to induction hob late last year and Scanpan site deems the pot suitable if it holds a magnet to bottom, which it did.
A few weeks ago the bottom of one pot buckled and loosened with an almighty crack while heating some milk.
Very slow response after 3 attempts at contact through Australia website as couldnt find info for NZ contact details. Wanted to know if other pots in set were actually safe to use as they told me this should not have happened. Once NZ team had info they very quickly organised replacement.

Happy with my choice
I did not want non-stick cookware. Glad I chose Coppernox. Glass lids to see inside and silicone handles have become essential. Low to medium heat only is needed and it heats fast and evenly. Aesthetically they are pleasing to the eye. I have one saucepan, the dutch oven and the multi pasta pot. The dutch oven cooks my curries well. Food rarely sticks to my Coppernox pots but if it does it comes off quite easily after a soak in hot water for a couple of minutes. My only complaint is that the copper discolours quickly - I've read you can polish it but I don't have my pots on display to show off, they are for cooking, so it doesn't bother me TOO much.

The best.
I did a TONNE of research and hunting around before deciding on the Coppernox range. They are absolutely superb and just tick every box - the 5-layer base with copper & aluminium cores, the glass lids, the heat-proof handles, fairly lightweight, good for ovens & induction, 10-year guarantee - and they look brilliant!
Don't get what some others are whinging about... just don't abuse them!
Professional quality and perfectly designed. We couldn’t be happier with them.

Not happy!
Fell in love with and bought on 3 June 2017. What I immediately loved about them was the silicon inserts on the pot handles and lids. I was also impressed with the measurement levels on the inside of the saucepans. Unfortunately, after taking them home and using them, I am very unhappy. On the first use of each of the saucepans, and using relatively low gas flame, each of them have been left with unsightly marks which cannot be removed. I have used them two or three times since and depending on what I am cooking, the food sticks. For example, I...Read more
made a bean stew and everything stuck to the bottom. I had to take out what wasn't stuck, clean the saucepan, and put the stew back in, and even with continual stirring, it still stuck to the bottom. So, so, very unhappy with what I ultimately fell I love with and was so excited to be using. And they were not inexpensive. I have contacted the kitchen shop where we purchased them and they have suggested that I contact Scanpan direct and see what they suggest. The kitchen shop said they would recommend Impact over the Coppernox, but that they didn't have any direct experience or feedback with what had happened to my Coppernox set. They did say that with all the Impact products, they had never received any bad reviews. However, after reading reviews on the Impact, don't know whether we would want those either. We still have two 20 year old Essteele saucepans and the insides of the new set look older than the Essteele.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

look fantastic and cook beautifully
I bought these to replace some old stainless steel saucepans on which the handles were starting to crack. These cook beautifully, nothing seems to stick and the pans heat evenly on my gas cooktop. They also look gorgeous.

Scanpan Coppernox. Have to live without it as it does not do the job.
My scanpan coppernox frying pan burns things every time I use it. I would like a solution not just a chance to write a review. This item was not inexpensive and it is taking up space in my drawer.

Everything burns in the bottom of my stockpots
Every time I use my stockpotsthing all of the food sticks and burns on the bottom of the pan. This occurs on the lowest gas setting also. Any help to fix the problem would be greatly appreciated

Beats non stick sets hands down.
Replaced 25yo Raco set with these. They heat rapidly, distribute the heat evenly and even burnt on teenager's goo cleans off readily with a little elbow grease.
They are heavy, that's because of the amount of metal in them. They do have big handles, but for me that makes them easier to use. Only complaint is that the 20cm steamer set only has one lid, so you can't put the steamer on a smaller saucepan to save energy and use the bigger saucepan with a lid on it.

Scan pan Coppernox
Just to add on to the previous review there is vented holes on the side of the saucepan lids (you need to look close). I am extremely happy with my set. Even heat distribution, cooks well

Great looking saucepans although chunky handles can get in the way
I recently ordered 3 saucepans and a steamer insert to replace my 20 year old Essteele saucepans that were recently becoming dangerous to use (loose handles). We are moving into a new house (new kitchen!) with an induction cooktop and I needed new saucepans to suit although I am currently using a gas cooktop with them. Now anything, is better than old saucepans and this set is stunning. I read the reviews here AFTER purchasing ?? and kinda wished I had gone with the Essteele range again after such a great performance but I wanted glass lids and...Read more
Scanpan ticked all the boxes for the look I wanted. Shiny and new. Deep saucepans. Look great. Suit induction cooking. I like the copper bottom, glass lids and that the steamer insert fits all my saucepans. Appear to heat much quicker and retain a more even temperature than my old saucepans. Pots are heavy with chunky handles. No vents in the lid. If you have a small cooktop and use a lot of pans at once, the handles tend to get in the way. The lid has a rim that water catches in if you leave saucepans to drip-dry after washing. Handwashing required. For the price, a 15 or 20 year warranty would be more fitting.1 comment

I’m about to change to an induction cook top. How well do the Coopernox series work as induction pans?

Does the copper on the outside of the pot discolour easily?

I have only had my pans for less than an year so I am probably not the best person to answer this. i just put mine in the dishwasher after use and the copper looks as clean and shiny as the day I purchased them. However, I have a feeling that this won't be and issue with these saucepans.

I have this set, the saucepans are fairly heavy due to the composite SS outer sandwiched with Copper & Aluminium in the bases, their ability to absorb heat is fantastic, only low gas on small burners ... Read more
required! Handles with silicone inserts great, no burnt hands! FYI there are 3 small vent holes in the side of each lid!
