Choose another airline...
I have spent years earning points with Singapore Airlines and have just recently booked first class seats using these points - assuming that they would treat me as a loyal and valued customer. Over 2 attempts that I made to be sent the menu for the flight, Both instances resulted in being sent a link and being told to go online to view it. Even after blocking my concerns post the first reply that I didn’t find this doable, the second response was identical. Has it not been that I am flying in 8 days, I would have cancelled the reservation and flown on another airline.
Save yourself the headaches and choose an airline that treats loyal and premium customers the way that they should.

Just Quit SIA
I have been using SIA since 1998 and redeemed many international flights. Always thought it is the best airlines but to my surprise, I have experienced the worst service that SIA has offered its service on my recent trips. The cabin crew were unprofessional, rude that made me question if they have been trained. I don't even want to waste my time on writing this review.
People if you want to fly on new aeroplanes but in return you get trash services then i recommend you to fly with SIA.

Terrible service. How is this ever called the world's best airline?
I'd heard good things about Singapore Airlines, I must admit mainly through the media which now makes me wonder how they get these good reviews. Had a terrible experience. I flew from Sydney to Singapore return in economy. The seats were the normal uncomfortable economy seats with hardly any legroom, no different than any other economy flight. However, the staff allowed another passenger to come and directly hassle me to change seats after he had finished hassling them, to which I replied no, that's not how it works these days. They essentially...Read more
passed their customer service role on to me to do at 9:30 pm. I am not a Singapore Airlines employee! I'm a customer! Dealing with other customers is your job not mine! Second, there was a constant drip from the ceiling, if this is not already annoying enough on an 8 hour flight it was extremely concerning from a safety and maintenance perspective. Where is the water coming from and how is it getting in? Finally, I reported these concerns to customer service. They responded to me 24 hours later saying they were sorry about my bad experience. They essentially said that the customer service issue was what they normally did. Really? Perhaps we could have some of the staff wages deducted from our flight whenever we're required to do something like that. They also completely ignored the drip from the ceiling. I followed them up on this for a response and they did not even bother to respond. They did not offer any form of compensation at all. Every other aspect of the flight was average at best. Perhaps they were once the world's best airline, but based on what I've just outlined, it was among the worst. I would never suggest anyone fly Singapore Airlines if they have an alternative. Avoid Singapore Airlines.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Gets worse each time I fly with them
Flew to Phuket and return, and I had a few issues on the flight out.
The flight was packed, and because the people around me were large- I was cramped in. The seat in front was flexing under the weight of the guy in front, so it was extremely uncomfortable.
Staff were inattentive, food quality poor, and they misplaced my luggage.
Singapore used to be the best, but my experience is the Qantas is actually better, better staff, food and if there is a problem you don’t just get smiled at and told they’ll see what they can do- they’ll actually talk to you.
I won’t be flying Singapore again, other carriers are better value.

Not professional or Reliable
Singapore Airlines - Silk Air flight was late we missed our connection on Singapore Airlines. My family of 3 were placed on the next flight being a SCOOT budget airline, we received a letter as we boarded apologising for the lack of services and that we could get a refund. We have written numerous emails and they will not upheld our refund promise. Is there a formal body that we can lodge a complaint with?
August 28th 2022 Update: Unreliable
Our connecting flight from Singapore to Perth was cancelled without any notice or contact and we were placed on a Scoot budget flight. We requested a refund and we were given an apology but no refund. Shame on you! This is a terrible service for a paying customer.

Sterling service from crew, but what happened with the food?
Melb to Sing to Munich. Then back 4 weeks later Munich to Sing to Melb. Business Class @ $AUD6,500 each approx. The lounge in Melb is pretty average, the lounge in Singapore was excellent. Excellent service from the crew on board. I would have given 5 stars except for the food. I ordered from the 'book the cook' menu for the Melb to Sing leg and lobster thermidor for the Sing to Munich leg and was really looking forward to both. But the steak was massively overdone - a grey brick. The thermidor was gluggy and seemed to be mostly cream a...Read more
nd mushroom (good thing I like both). The poor crew don't have an option to cook to order, they have to put it in the oven, and press the button according to instruction. So how do you get a rare steak (imo the only way to eat it)? You can't. For the Munich to Sing leg I cancelled my 'book the cook' order, but it somehow remained in the system. It was loin of lamb. I said I would eat it but could they make sure it was pink in the middle. The Flight Attendant said she would do her best but she had little choice in the cooking method and time. It turned out to be only just acceptable, there was a very slight tinge of red/pink in the middle. What's the point of trumpeting your pre-order options if you can't actually deliver on the promise? And what's the point of having a de-pressurised and de-humidified special room at the Singapore airlines kitchen for testing and tasting if you can't actually replicate the dish on board a real plane? Yeah, yeah, I know, first world problemsSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Only way to fly overseas
We flew to France with Singapore Airlines. Highly recommend. They make you feel welcome and comfortable from the beginning to the end of your trip. Would fly with them again. Great service aboard the plane. Leg room fairly reasonable for economy. We flew economy from Brisbane to Singapore and then Premium Economy to Paris. Great way to fly.

Best airline ?
Singapore Airlines has always been One of the best. This flightswith premium economy were ok but have had better.
Entertainment was not current and had to be repeatedly reset. I ended up watching prerecorded shows on my phone.
A380 seats were not comfortable. When reclined the forward seat was very close to your face which made accessing seat rather difficult.
Food was average even though pre ordered from the premium range of food.
Drinks selection were limited..
Long wait for limited toilets, which was a major issue.
As Singapore airlines standards have decreased.

They broke my instrument and they don't take any responsibility
We recently flew using Singapore Airline (we used to fly with Singapore Airline because it was a good airline), but we had a musical instrument which they did not let us take into the cabin. Instead, they told us that we should check it in as baggage. we, of course, we against it, because we were afraid that it will be damaged. Then the person in the check-in desk told us that we don't have any other option and we can not fly if we don't accept to give the musical instrument as baggage. The employee told us that they will take care of it and th...Read more
ey will carry it as fragile baggage and they will to their best to make sure that nothing will happen to the instrument. BUT, they asked us to sign a tag which was written as "Limited Release" without informing us what it is or without any warning. I never saw such a tag before, and we simply trusted the staff as they mentioned that nothing will happen to the baggage. Now, my musical instrument is damaged, they took a photo of it and they told us that they will get back to us. After a few days. we followed up with them and they only replied that " You had shown us the limited liability tag you had signed at check-in. This eliminates Singapore Airlines for liability".Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

I bought my return tickets with SQ flying to france from perth. I went to book my seats as most people would do prior to travelling as you want good seats if you are on long flight!! Well guess what i had to pay extra for booking my seats hello why did i pay an airfare for and why it wasnot written that you have to pay extra for booking your seats! Then i was told if you dont want to pay you can wait 48 hours before flying! If you are doing a 22 hours flight you would want to secure good seats which most people would do they wont wait 48 hours and get leftovers! Ive never heard anything like this! Anything to rip people off!!
Never again!!

Paid twice for 1 flight - no refund
Shame on you Singapore Airlines for getting into bed with Flight Centre Australia forsaking the real customer - me. A simple flight change and we’re charged a whole new flight taking our money for both. You charged $360 but that’s just the admin fee plus the price for a whole new flight. One flight for the price of two. You refused to speak with me about my changes stating I was not the customer. Singapore Airlines took my money twice and still no recognition as being a customer. Shame shame shame!

Singapore Airlines - Premium Economy - Melb to Sing - ATROCIOUS SERVICE AND RESPONSE
The most incredibly bad service that any airline in the world can offer. Yes this is true. I would have previously rated SQ in the top 2 Airlines in the world, i would now say its at the bottom of the barrel. They appear to fundamentally changed their service levels. I have been moved off my flight from Melbourne to Singapore with no other options available. I have emailed the CEO and senior management over the past 9 hours with very little to no response, there is absolutely zero care anymore. How an airline can bump someone off a premium economy flight is beyond belief. Never ever again.

Other than the staff working extremely hard and happy to do so, the wow factor was missing!
Singapore Airlines is my favourite airline. I travel almost annually from Melbourne to Turkey return but just this most recent trip, I have exactly the same sentiment as Byrno's review made on here just 23 days earlier.
I travelled on Monday 3 June from Melbourne to Singapore and then 4 June from Singapore to Istanbul. The first flight seemed comfortable enough being close to 8 hours but the second plane from Singapore to Istanbul (777-300ER) was old and disappointing. Everything that Byrno wrote is correct and could not be worded more accu...Read more
rate than that. On return Istanbul to Singapore we copped the 10 hour flight on another terrible 777-200ER plane. I could not get my television screen to work and nor could the other man in my row. The seats were hard enough to give haemorrhoids and those draw string hand controls with buttons that don't mean a thing are frustrating even if you can get your screen going. Trying to turn your seat light on to see what the controls were showing was even worse. The lights for each seat then displayed brightness to a seat somewhere within the row but NOT your seat where you wanted it? Instead you would just blind your neighbour with light in their face instead. You actually couldn't even adjust the light direction as the dials/nozzles were fixed into place above.. We were both looking at each other confused. I have to say though that the crew on that flight were brilliant, Singapore offered the man in my seat row and myself a $75 Singapore dollar online duty free voucher to apologise for lack of TV. That was a really nice touch especially when we hadn't even made much of a fuss and I did appreciated it The food was average and I had pre-ordered the special diabetic meal. Tough chicken on departing from Istanbul and pink grapefruit as the only choice of fruit on plate.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

The prodigal child has returned to Singapore Airlines
After several years of being lured by the low cost airlines, I flew with Singapore Airlines again.
What a difference.
Big beautiful airplanes that look and feel robust, safe and secure whereas some airlines feel like tin cans ready to drop from the sky.
Bigger comfortable seats.
Fabulous entertainment system with latest movies, great food and beverage choices.
As always, the gracious and friendly crew..don't they get tired of smiling?
SA...I'm sorry I strayed but I'm back and telling everybody that this is THE airline.

SHAME SINGAPORE AIRLINES
Shame for not refunding my money on 4 return tickets during my mother’s hospitalisation and death on our holiday.
You asked for medical and death certificate and nearly a year later no refund. You were the issuing airline!
I’m a yo-yo calling and emailing one department to another and still nothing!!
Best thing you can do is call me ASAP!!
I will not let this rest anymore.
You said you’d refund on commpasionate grounds . Where is the refund?
We have been loyal customers to you over a number of years. Where’s your loyalty now to me??
I don’t care about internet booking I made when purchasing tickets. You are the issuing airline. Third party told me call you, you say call them. It’s been ridiculous!!

Not as good as I expected
Flew May 20th 2022, Singapore to Istanbul leg, aircraft was a Boeing 777ER, flight time 10 hrs 30 mins.
Expected much better. The Pro's- reasonable leg room, flight was on time. Polite staff when interacting, seating request met with satisfaction. Con's- Very old plane that looked like it was built when Bob Hawke was Prime minister, window blind had an annoying vibration like the sound of a blow fly in a bottle, 2 choices for main meal and that was it and one was hot. A350 tiny leg room
Here's where SQ earned 3 stars:
1. Assistance for name correction. Apparently your Krisflyer profile details overwrite what you type into the booking fields online. SQ acknowledged that this occurred and changed for us. Greatly appreciated.
2. A330 Singapore to Manila return sectors - older aircraft but far more spacious for leg room on these 4 hour flights than the new overhyped A350 8 hour BNE-SIN return.
3 Airline boarding strictly by group. Thumbs up for efficiency.
4. Crew were gracious and helpful.
5. KRISWORLD is fabulous. ...Read more
6. Great food and drinks service You lose 2 stars and probably my business to another airline for mean and stingy legroom on A350s. Epic fail for anyone taller than 170cm. Adequate legroom is important for health reasons. Why have aircraft with more legroom on short haul sectors?Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
