This is about a Dingo
In 2017 I purchased a Dingo at the Nambour show from the 2 man team from Slacks Creek. I found them to be polite & honest and they always were when ever I need to speak to them. I have done lots of 4 & 6 week trips to the outback, One trip was around Australia in 8 months and as things happened to the camper I would phone SK Slacks creek and they helped me every time. The more you use a camper like the Dingo the more things you are going to want to change but at the time of purchase it was a big step up from a tent!! so we were happy to acce...
Read morept some shortfalls - If your thinking of one of these units here is a list of things to check. The units are all second hand now. Some issues will have been fixed and some not. The wheel alignment has to be checked before any major trips. Check the tyres for abnormal wear especially the spare. The tyres are Chinese and dont wear very well anyway so a good pair wll set you back another $600 You need to take a set of wheel bearings and grease with you Just in case. another $60 The wheel nuts Have to be checked every time you go anywhere so you will need to purchase a Torque Wrench capable of doing at least 135kN another $100 The steel parts Wheel nuts, chains, paint chips etc. even though painted or chromed they Rust so you need to constantly check that I spray mine with lanotec solution and it works pretty good. Good insurance for less than $20

The best camper in its category, without a doubt.
After having read many positive reviews about Skamper Kampers in general, we decided to head to the Melbourne Show last Feb to check them out in "the metal", so to speak. Ivan was on hand to guide us through the benefits of his product over the others i.e. one piece draw bar chassis, Aussie made suspension, concealed water tank, inbuilt hot water system and heaps of storage. On top of that, the guys at Skampers weres the only ones who was happy to demostrate how easy it was to open and close, not just talk about it. That sealed the deal for us!
