Leaks in rain

published

Nice shape tent, easy to put up, with handy little ‘porch’. Good dry conditions but I’m afraid it leaks through side vents during heavy rain and at the site of the toggles in not so heavy rain ☹️. Only used a few times, threw it away on leaving the camp site.

Nice tent, but side vents not waterproof

published

I have used this tent a few times. Recently it rained quite a bit, and water got in around the side vents. I had it staked out properly, so the vents were pulled out away from the tent, but water pooled at the bottom of the vents. I tried with the inner flaps on the vents closed and open, and water got in each time. Other than that it is a good tent with plenty of space for 2 people.

Easy to set up and pack away. Ideal for short camp stays

published

Purchased one in April 2016 from Anaconda. When we set it up we noticed small pin holes in the canopy stitching and material. Fortunately it did not rain. We returned it to Anaconda who cheerfully replaced it. We next used it again for three days and found that the mesh is too fine and while it keeps the mozzies out it restricts the air flow unless it is strong wind.

Pole broke on first set up

published

Just set the tent up in the backyard prior to my first trip in it and one of the fibreglass poles broke on assembly. Was still OK to set up but now that it's disassembled, will have to get a new pole due to the nature of the split. Other than that, it's quick and easy to assemble and I'm looking forward to taking it out.

I think Charlie is spot on.
My tent leaks a bit, but was already out of warranty when it started leaking, although it had only been used a handful of times.
Sadly i could not recommend the Spinifex Longreach due to the leaks.
