Disgusting Customer Service.
Placed an order for 15 balls of knitting yarn consisting of 3 different coloured yarns. I have been refunded for 5 balls of yarn. Not available they say. They have posted me 10 balls of yarn all up but I need 15 balls for the item I am knitting. When I go online I can order more of the yarn they say they have none of, and pay for it. Why do they not update their online store. I am furious. I can't knit the item as I don't have the quantity of wool I need. the choice of a full refund. I am sure Consumer Affairs would be interested in this. False advertising. Community Service Announcement....Don't Waste your Time & Money!
I wish I'd read the online reviews before I made an online purchase. My order was split in two because not all items were available from the one warehouse. I had no issue with this and part one of my order was delivered within a few days. Part two was an entirely different story. ed them with incorrect dimensions of the order so it was basically sitting idle in their system. At that time I was told it would be shipped on Monday (I called on Friday afternoon). Monday came and went and when I followed up again I was told it would be delivered the following day. It took 3 weeks and countless phone calls to the courier (who don't answer their phones), phone calls to Spotlight who have absolutely no care in the world for their customers, emails with Spotlight who were just as useless with information as the staff I spoke to over the phone. Finally my order was delivered but after I had paid $40 for delivery the driver told me that he only gets paid to drop items at the ground floor (I live on the third floor of an apartment building). He told me he was doing me a favour by carrying them upstairs for me. The whole experience was a nightmare and I definitely won't be shopping with Spotlight again.Similar opinion? I love shopping online with this company, any problems can call then, any damaged product i just ring send photo of damaged and product replaced or refunded, no drama, Kogan and Allied express should contact spotless on how to provide customer service

Spotlight online shopping, a big disappointment
Bought 12 mt of canvas fabric online, The store only had 6mt left in the wanted colour so they send me an email telling me they had cancelled the 12mt order and where going to send 6mt instead ( they also told me they had returned $60 and kept the value of the fabric they were sending). Alas, they sent the 6mt before I approved this change. The 6mt were sent cut in a 1mt piece and a 5mt piece. This delivery was useless to me as I needed the 12 mt uncut for the project. d quantity and cut in pieces is ok!!!! It took them forever to return the rest of the money and only after sending them emails and calls they sent forms I had to fill in for me to return their 6mt of fabric so they could return the money. It was a big hassle with forms to fill in and receipts to send them despite they had all the emails about the issue. Terribly disappointed with the service and handling of this issue. First and last time I buy things online from Spotlight. Worst service I have had with an online shop.

Order cancelled.....again!!
So disappointed with this company. They have cancelled my online order for the third time. No reasons, no excuses, no phone call to see if there is an alternative - just an email telling me the order is cancelled and money will be refunded. I have rung and complained and was told someone would get back to me. Never happened. I sent emails complaining - no response. Shocking lack of customer service. You should be ashamed Spotlight.

Don’t trust website product availability
Been to Adelaide stores several times - website states a certain product is available in store ..... only to find on arrival at store no product!
Staff then say “ if it’s not on the shelf we don’t have it, and “don’t trust the website”!!!!
Even the staff don’t have faith in the website ???

Online service completely incompetent
My order was mixed up with another customer and we received each other’s orders, along with personal information. With the almost 3 week long comedy of errors that followed, it would have been easier to drive the 21/2 hours to her house and exchange our parcels than rely on the totally incompetent staff of Spotlight to fix the problem. is straightforward with no errors then you might never realise the underlying chaos that goes on, but God forbid, if you have a problem with your order, they seem all but unable to rectify the problem satisfactorily. I also had a problem with wrong items and poor quality (eg slightly mismatched towels, wrong size etc), but let it go in the end as it wasn’t worth chasing up and I couldn’t get to the store soon enough. My advice is don’t order from Spotlight online if you are counting on your order arriving in reasonable time, and also if you value your time and mental health if things go wrong. Customer service is based in Fiji and it is not possible to speak to anyone in Australia by phone. It also seems that departments and stores have very poor communication with each other. If you must shop with Spotlight then I recommend you go to the store, otherwise research other suppliers online who run a more professional and reliable operation.Similar opinion? I ordered and paid for 3 roller blinds from Spotlight online. After two weeks they had not arrived and from the tracking website they appeared to have gotten lost. I therefore rang Spotlight to ask for a full refund. In five phone calls over the past 2 1/2 weeks they have repeatedly prevaricated, on one occasion claiming that the goods have been delivered, then promising to get back to me about a refund but not doing so, and are still not promising to refund my payment. They have not given me any indication as to how long I will have to wait before the issue is resolved, so I am concerned that they have no intention of honouring their side of the contract. I've now lodged a formal complaint with NSW Fair Trading. Never again.

Spotlight’s online shopping experience a horrible nightmare!
Never again will I shop online through Spotlight. Never again! Seriously they need to get their act together in terms of correct information supplied on their site, customer care and accountability. I shopped over two months ago in a number of online transactions with Spotlight. Their website states that stock is available online at the time of purchase. d was actually sent. Secondly, the stock they did send was often faulty, dirty, threads pulled (towels) and in one case, the tag missing. Two of the white towels ordered actually had yellow stains all along the bottom third! My nightmare started when the gentleman I spoke to on the phone actually told me I had to take these unwanted towels to a Spotlight store to prove they weren’t faulty and in fact he actually stated “they ARE clearance items!” The lady at the Spotlight store was horrified at what I was sent. When I checked the rest of the items later sent, most were in a similar condition. I rang Spotlight absolutely furious and here I am, having sent back their towels by return post two weeks ago and I still have not been issued a refund. And my emails have been ignored. Don’t shop online with this company. My suggestion would be to go into a store so that you can see what you are purchasing. Good product quality
I purchased curtains online and was impressed with the quality and price. I received them within days but the only concern was that they were left at my door when they were supposed to be signature needed on delivery.

Terrible customer service! Don't order online!
I ordered dinnerware online (18 pieces). They managed to deliver the wrong pieces, which I had to sent back with no order cancellation/return possible. Following this, they AGAIN sent the wrong pieces.
I have spent more time on the phone for this order than I would have if I went to every Spotlight store in NSW!!!

Do not order online!
I ordered 4m of fabric online, along with 3 other items over a week ago. Wow, big mistake - Never again.
So I've just received my 3 other items, I was just waiting on this 4m of fabric to be dispatched. Only to be sent an email today stating 2m have been refunded and cancelled.

False advertising
I ordered five sets of curtains online, received three. When I received the items all three were out of their original packaging with the packaging significantly damaged. I also noticed that on the packaging of each of the curtains was a price sticker $10 cheaper than what I had paid online for the curtains, essentially I've been ripped off $30 and didn't get what I ordered in the process. Nowhere on the website does it state that I was buying what I would assume is another customer returns. I have been told that Spotlight does not offer compensation, however, I will be taking this further though. Very dodgy

Very happy with order and delivery
As I already ordered online, I thought I'd check the reviews, was alittle concerned about my order. After contacting customer service they were very prompt with there response, as I normally recieve shipping confirmations within 24hrs normally, I hadnt heard from spotlight after nearly 2days of the order, turns out I was being alittle impatient, shipping info had been activated late by Aus post system. Recieved my order with no probs thanks Spotlight

Ive placed many orders online because im a new mum and cant get out easily. Due to starting my own business ive needed to buy heaps of different fabrics and having the ability to buy online is AMAZING

Infuriating website
In store service can be quite variable so decided to look up on line the things I needed to avoid travelling to the store only to find they didn't have them. Their website is useless and then after using their "contact us" section the site wouldn't let me submit the feedback. That's one way of dealing with customer's concerns

Had to deal with their online store and then customer "care". What a horrendous and forgettable experience. If you are really lucky and the order goes through OK you won't see any of this, but as soon as there is a problem with your order the "fun" begins. They split my order without telling me, so when the material arrived only half of it was there. I them rang them and they casually told me without any apology they had to split the order because they didn't have enough in one store.

they agreed and got the address. A week or so late it arrived at my place, so I got back to them and they picked it up from the PO and took it all the way back to Victoria (I'm in Brisbane!!). That was 2 weeks ago and I still can't get any real idea of where my material has gone, and my sister has made half of the cushions for my lounge and is still waiting for the balance. The MOST frustrating part of it is 1. They use an overseas call centre (Like Telstra only worse) and you get someone different every time who will tell you a completely different story to the last person 2. They do not follow through on anything they agree to do for you. When you ask for the last person you spoke to they always seem to be away and they don't know when they'll get back. They have no authority to do anything other then a few prescribed instructions, and have absolutely no problem solving skills. 3. Their communication is appalling and worst non=existent as to updates on your problem. 4. Please do not use this company if you can’t wait a lot longer than they promise on their website! Oh how I wish I’d read the reviews on here before I ordered $300 of party supplies for my little girls birthday. ours getting my online order with spotlight ready. Don’t even start me on the money side of things as I won’t manage to get it ha k until AFTER I have repurchased. To say I am angry is an understatement and I will never buy from Spotlight again. Their email response was rude, dismissive and completely unhelpful.
