Plastic snaps.
I bought plastic snaps online from Spotlight for dressmaking, the brand is Birch and the cost $12 for 12 snaps + $10 postage, after having bought them I found that I could have bought same brand for $5 + $9.50 postage from another online Australian shop. Even a lot cheaper from Aliexpress $1.76 for 20 snaps free postage, they are without a brand name but exactly the same product, I have bought some previously, it does take a while to arrive and I was in a hurry to finish the garment. I have contacted Spotlight to complain but haven't received an answer.

Multiple deliveries! Requiring signature!
Order is dispatched as they source it. Delivery requires signature. No option for instructions to leave. Therefore i needed to take time off work. To have 1 item delivered at a time. Ridiculous!
Called customer service (hahahaha) and they could give me no response. Actually no care at all.
I am.fuming right now. Never again Spotlight!!

Spotlight Parcel Delivery by sloth express ? atrocious service

That is the worst delivery service I have ever had from anyone - just disgraceful.
I ordered my item on 1st July, 2022 and after much chasing by me as to where my parcel is, it was still not delivered until yesterday 17th July, 2022 - I am not happy at all with your lack of customer service and how long it took me with emails and phone calls to try and get you to care about your customers.

Disappointed
Bought some blinds online from spotlight. When they came the reel in one of them were broken, there was no safety caps for the metal poles which when ran into leave injuries

Order incomplete and poor quality items, poor customer service
This is the second time I have used Spotlight online. The first time I had no issues, but it was only 2 items and I expected the same this time.
I was looking for wall art and found something I liked and then found a few other things I needed - bath towels and hand towels, glass storage containers and oven glove. Most were on special and while I did not expect the best quality for the towels, they were spares to bulk up the look in the bathroom, so no real issue. ostman usually comes at 6:30am and I not even up, so I requested no signature be required (I get 95% of everything I buy online). Order was shipped pretty quickly, then it all went downhill. Spotlight demanded a signature, so a few days after the card was left, so me and my mobility device (once I fold it up and put it in the back seat of the car and then get it out again - a major exercise) went the post office and picked up the parcels. Wall Art was in one and towels in the other - half of the towels and nothing else. The towels I did get you can almost see through, they are so thin. I didn't expect the best quality, but I didn't expect the worst either. I don't even want to put them in the bathroom as spare and will have to use them as dog towels and buy towels elsewhere. Then it got worse. I've never found Spotlight stores very good at customer service (Castle Hill branch are you reading this?), but their online customer service is appalling. No response to my email, so I phoned them and after a fashion of making sure I had not overlooked or confused the grey towels with the white and overlooked the glass storage containers, the customer service agent agreed to send the missing items - the items they forget to send. Then it got even worse. I again requested no signature, due to mobility issues and the postman trying to deliver so early in the morning. I was promptly told this was not policy and I was wrong, the postman did not try and deliver at 6:30am it was 7:15am. Ok, he was late that day and I'm 45min out, but I still don't get up until 7:30, which I had already advised and it still takes me 10mins to get to the door, even if I am up. And Spotlight can't possibly send without a signature "because we don't want lost parcels do we" (this was said in the most patronizing tone I have heard in a long time). I was told to take it up with the post office, because it's not Spotlights problem. The post office, as most people know, including Spotlight, follow directions from the sender and if they say signature, that's what they do. Pleasantly surprised
Checked reviews AFTER I bought some items online. I got nervous because of the bad reviews, especially those that said they never received their items, but I received my items within a week and they were great quality.

Very happy with Spotlight & their completion of All Of My Orders - NO ITEM MIX UP.
I Have placed many orders for Blankets & Bottles & have received what I ordered, from many different stores but that is to be expected. I Will Be Placing Another Order On Wednesday. My carer got concerned with me buying so much while being on the Disability Pension. I Was Buying For Family & Friends For The Year!!!! Their was no duplication or missing items, What I Received Is What I Ordered. If Spotlight were out of an item and couldn't get any more in I got a refund put through very quickly. I Am Very Happy With Spotlight. Friendly service & Fast delivery - Highly Recommend Excellent. Thank You Spotlight from a Happy VIP Customer

Promotions are a joke.
Recvd $40 coupon if I spent $100. Placed order online with promo code only denied promotion at checkout. Emailled customer service and 7 days later I finally got a reply;
Further to your email please be kindly advised for the voucher you will need to be logged in as a member, and you will need to spend $100 or more and apply Promo Code VIP40 and since the voucher has ended we will not be able to honor the voucher.
Well, I was logged in under my VIP account but it seems that any excuse will do with Spotlight when it comes to renegging on a promotion. Also 7 days to respond is woeful.

how long are you willing to wait?
I often purchase instore with spotlight for want of a better place to go in my area. You can expect to wait extended periods of time both in Preston and Brunswick. By the end of my experience I am always incredibly frustrated and my inspiration to create has waned. Staff seem to have little support as they too seem frustrated and unwilling to help most of the time. I purchased online 5 days ago to avoid this frustration. Advised 2-5 day lead time. Still no tracking number sent for my order. Called to enquire. Had to wait for 8 mins. System down and told to call back in an hour. Said they are unable to call me. I have had more fun dealing with centrelink. Spotlight really needs to support their staff and customers.

Made to measure service is a joke
We had a consultant place an order for us in February 2022 for curtains and blinds, she explained the service would take 4-6 weeks for the products to be made then they would call to schedule installation. Blinds were installed correctly, but when it came to the curtains they were not all the correct size.
We then had to wait another 4 weeks for one of the curtains to resized and installed. Now 4 months after the initial consultation I am still awaiting the second curtain to be resized and installed.

Love spotlight
Ive had many online orders each of them came in a timely manner. Some had to be sent from different areas of Australia but that wasnt a problem.
The problem i had was with rough arse Australia Post. The boxes get thrown around by their useless delivery drivers.
Each time i was able to take the broken items back to the Bayswater store and get a replacement without any problems at all.
Very friendly staff who are always happy to help......if you give respect you get it back.

Never Ever Buy From Spotlight
Never buy from Spotlight. They will deliver the wrong goods and then create problems with refunds.
We are still waiting for our refund. Go to another store and check before you buy.

Petty and Rude
I have been a longtime customer of Spotlight both in store and online. I ordered a doona cover set, two European pillowcases and a throw online. The order arrived without the pillowcases. After many emails I was virtually called a liar, they changed their story several times and then decided to blame Australia Post. The pillowcases were only worth $5 each so if I was trying to rip them off one would think I would have claimed the more expensive items didn't arrive. I will never shop at Spotlight again and am telling everyone I know about their petty and rude behaviour to a customer who has spent a lot of money at their store. Plenty of other stores with decent customer service.

Never Again
Having been a loyal customer for many years, I thought I would buy from the online store only to find that they sent me only 1metre of fabric when I ordered 2 metres. What I received was the end of a roll because the end was uneven and ragged, so it seems whoever cut the fabric could not be bothered to look for a roll with 2 metres on it. I was charged for it of course and the call centre was hopeless. I speak to a different foreign sounding person each time, and each time I am told something different. I will never buy this way again from this store. No one cares it seems.

Terrible!
I purchased some Jocelyn Proust fabric, 1m each in two different designs. The order was broken up and sent in two lots.
One lot arrived just fine and then the second lot came, but instead of my fabric the package contained 2 sheet sets.
I rang customer service and explained; then had to re-explain because they didn’t understand (“but it says your package has arrived and you signed for it, what’s the problem?”).

Wheres all the rainbow loom bands?
Hi. Im writing about the rainbow loom bands and where they have gone. I am a person where i would usually buy them here on the online store for that they dont have them in the actual store(or at least the ones i wanted). But before there was a huge variety of different bands and colours but now its gone down to 4 or 5. Nothing is wrong about the bands its self and the quality, but im just inquiring about where all the other loom bands have gone.

False advertising
A couple of days ago I ordered some bedding online. The website boasts that the order will be delivered in 2-5 business days. The items were available at my local store but that is a 30 minute drive away so I opted for the easier online order with delivery (they don’t do click & collect). The worst customer experience I have ever received
To say this is the worst customer service experience I have ever received is an understatement. I have called customer service daily and all I've received is rude, unprofessional and completely unhelpful staff. A package they sent 3 weeks ago seems to have gotten lost in the mail or they haven't sent it at all. They were unhelpful and unwilling to contact AusPost to rectify the situation and to confirm the item itself is lost. I will never ever use their service online again. A complete disaster and I'm now in the process of trying to get a refund. A huge waste of time.

Stained pillow, no refund for delivery.
I ordered several bedding items online for my twins’ ‘big girl’ bedroom simply so I didn’t have to take them into Spotlight with me and do a shop.
A) They wouldn’t be surprised by their room
B) It isn’t easy taking two 22-month olds to a shop where they want to touch everything!
Anyway, my items arrived in the mail and one of the cushions was stained. I contacted customer service who informed me I would need to return it and exchange it at a store. Not happy.

Fast delivery
I placed an order online as the item was not available at my local store (even low stock online). It was dispatched only a couple hours later and I recieved it 2 business days later. I recieved a notification to let me know it'd be delivered that day.
The only annoying thing with spotlight, is your website. It needs to be simplified and easier to find things / more relevant to what you type in the search box. I don't want 560 results for something specific as "pink pony beads"
