Great car,reliable and safe
Beautiful car to drive.
Lots of added features like eyesight protection.
Handles really well, smooth.
I do notice a little thumping sound when windows are down but had that in my previous 4wd,
Interior is spacious. Air con is good, though no spilt system for the back. Would have liked auto locking feature but apparently that is not available.
Running costs are economical.

wonderful!
Performance is great, handles like a dream, especially on winding country roads. Very quiet motor and fantastic safety features. Interior seats are very comfortable and there is heaps of leg room in both front and back. Only thing we don't like about it is the volume and pitch of the warning beeps. Driver is hard of hearing and finds he cannot hear the beeps or blinker sounds at all, and has to take eyes of road to look at dash. Reliability is good but because is it an AWD vehicle, running costs are higher than other 2WD vehicles. Very satisfied so far.

Perfect
All the car I need. Sound system could be better though.
Not sporty of course, but great for everyday driving. The amount of power is totally adequate and CVT keeps me driving like a normal person, instead of like I'm in a fast and furious movie.
The eyesight features were annoying at the beginning but then I got used to the beeps and it's fine now.

Not perfect, but pretty damn close!
This is the perfect size SUV, it is not too big, and not too small. It handles it wet and dry excellently and the anti-skid feature (set to on by default) gives that little extra feeling of security. The turn circle is tight for an SUV and the road noise is next to none. It rides beautifully on all surfaces. My wife who has only ever driven medium size sedans was uncertain at first about her ability to drive it, but finds it a breeze and appreciates the extra height above the ground.
The features in this model are impressive, the drivers se...Read more
at is electrically adjusted both back & forward and tilt. The sterring wheel is also easy to adjust to the right height and back or forward. The seats are electrically heated and the controls regarding heating and cooling are brilliant, set and leave, or adjust to your delight. The lights and the wipers can be set on auto and will switch on when the car detects they are needed. The reverseing camera screen takes any concerns over parking out of the equation, and if you have never used a reversing camera before, it takes a bit to get used to, but suddenly you wonder how you did without it. The vehicle has two screens, one with an enormous range of variable screens that can tell you everything about consuption, and handling - really amazing, and the second larger, which is the reversing camera screen, also deals with phones (multile connections), audio - radio, Cd or USB iPod type devices. The dashboard/control layout is brilliant, and the column has everything at your fingertip, as well as on the touch screen. Leg room is excellent for front and back, and we chose this model because the rear luggage compartment is the biggest we could find in the medium size SUV's mas we have two german Shorthaired pointers to take around with us.Similar opinion? Amazing Tardis for Tall Men
We bought our first Subaru in December 2015 after owning BMWs for the past 2 decades. I did so much research and couldn't be happier. My husband is 6'4" and always has trouble with leg space. This model is great and he finds getting in and out very easy. We call it the Tardis as it looks smaller on the outside but so roomy on the inside.
So what are we impressed with -
1. fuel economy - we live inner city and mainly do short runs but get 10.5km per litre.
2. Safety features - the alerts are great. You get used to them and essentia...Read more

Nice, comfortable ride
Bought our first Forester (2013) model. Love the significant amount of new technology put into this car. Very comfortable ride, The new adaptive cruise control is truly wonderful.
Only issue we've experienced is that there is not a lot of room between the back and front seats, by the time we put a carseat and Jnr in the back, there's nothing left and he has been easily able to reach the back of the front seat with his feet from a very young age, the only way around this is to move the front seat all the way forward, which makes it impossible f...Read more

Eyesight coupled with great CVT a leader
I've owned my Forester since new for 15 months. We have been everywhere in it fro city to highway to bush tracks and through soft sand.
Unfortunately the CVT gets bad press from dinosaur motoring writers but I can attest that it is fantastic. We recently drove the Snowy Mountains Highway through driving rain and a long winding steep descent. I set cruise control and used eyesight to follow a vehicle whose driver seemed to know the roads. It followed perfectly without any input from me.
On the steep descent I set cruise at 50 Kms / hr and the...Read more
