Not worth it
I bought it after I saw it at my friends place and liked how small and efficient is. It worked fine for about a year than the handle broke (corrosion). Sunbeam was great, they replaced it, even though it wasn't under warranty.
Then after a few weeks it got noisy and since then it takes forever to heat the milk (like 6-8 minutes).
Nice froth
Breaks easily

Lasted 6 weeks!
I received one for my birthday from friends, & it worked fine for 6 weeks, then it stopped the spinning/mixing action. It still heats the milk, but that's not what it's for! It was also very noisy. I am very disappointed. :-( Will be ringing Sunbeam today. Not sure what will happen, regarding warranty as it was a gift.
Worked ok to start with.
Very noisy. Stopped spinning/mixing after 6 weeks.

Not worth the price !!
Really disappointed in this product. I got a small amount of froth the first couple of times but now just heats the milk. My previous Aldi milk frother worked much better with lots of froth...then it stopped frothing also but at least I used it for 6 months. Also the Aldi one heated/frothed very quickly. Will be returning the Sunbeam to Myer on Monday.
Good size jug which is better than all others I have seen.
Not much froth produced when I presume it was working properly and took way more than the 1 to 2 minutes advertised. Would have easily taken up to 5 mins.

Didn't work, agree ? bad batch
1st one took ages eg. 5 mins to heat enough milk for 1 coffee, and no froth. Replacement one, tried twice, heated faster but still nothing like the 1-2 mins advertised. Still no froth! It thought this was what it was for! Have taken it back and swapped it for another brand. No problem with replacement though - bought at Harvey Norman.
liked it could do cold chocolate, hot chocolate, non-stick easy to clean

I had this problem. Try a different type of milk. Some milks produce more froth than others.

Doesnt like Soy Milk?
Using same soy as I use in automatic Sunbeam coffee machine with no trouble but it will not froth the milk. Only produces warm milk and bubbles. Dairy works great - but I drink Soy! Plate on heating unit looks like its begining to corrode and it sometimes makes a noise when almost done.
Neat unit with cord storage - looks great on bench top, easy to use and clean.
Won't froth Soy milk.

Bad batch??
I bought this after I stayed at my sister's. She had one and I thought it was great - hot drinks and HEAPS of foam which I love. I am now onto my THIRD one since 21 October 2012. The first one worked fine, until the spinning mechanism conked out, so I exchanged it at Big W, no problems. Second machine produced one lovely frothy drink, developed a noise, then only a thin layer of bubbles, no thick foam. Took it back for replacement, again with no problems with the exchange. My current machine is now also making a noise, and has up until now (a...Read more
fter about 6 uses) produced a disappointing thin layer of bubbles,no lovely thick foam. I will give it a couple of more goes to see if I can actually get the "proper" foam I originally bought it for, but will return it and try to get my money back if not. I find the temperature also not hot enough. SO DISAPPOINTED! Convenience3 comments

I thought it may have been because I used it without the lid, but I have used it once again with the lid on and it still produced the froth. Have no idea why it wasn't working properly the first few times I used it. I would now give it 4/5 stars (only because I prefer my drinks a bit hotter). Hope it continues to please.Sometimes it is the milk.

Good....but !!!!
Good little gadget that gives nice hot frothy milk...my only complaint is that it takes 5.35 minutes to heat & froth 1/2 cup milk. The book says one to two minutes depending on the quantity of milk. I have only had it a week. I wonder if there is something wrong with it that it doesn't heat as quick as it says in the book.
Nice hot frothy milk....easy to clean

Sunbeam Cafe Creamy
This is a good unit that makes enough milk for two people. The only complaints I have so far is that I wish the milk was actually hot not warm and i'm not a fan of the 4 minute cool down between uses, If had seen this before purchase this would have been a deal breaker for me.
Overall it seems to do what is advertised and better than its 1 cup competitors.
Makes 2 cups of milk at a time.
4 minute cool down between drinks & only makes warm milk.

Mostly we ignore the part about heating our cups first. One should always fill the cup with hot water before frothing and making the coffee. That helps to keep our drink hot for another few minutes.

Great little machine .... but
Fanstastic little operator - just love it and so easy to use, my kids can use it. Only problem - this is my second one and the handle has just broke again! Both were just out of warranty too. Seems to be a reaction between two different metals (especially when wet - which you cannot avoid) causing corrosion inside the handle which then expands and breaks - need to research this better Sunbeam. Other than that - I must say - I rang Sunbeam about this issue and they took my address and said they will send a new jug out to me - no problems at all ...Read more
- it seems they are aware of the issue and are willing to deal with it - I will just wait and see now whether one turns up in the post.... counting on you Sunbeam! UPDATE... Brand New Jug arrived in the post today - thank you Sunbeam easy to use, enough for two cups handle issues with corrosionSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Not so nice service from Sunbeam
Have had two of these sunbeam models, both shorted out, thankfully I had a overide switch fitted on my main board. Even left a burn mark on my kitchen bench. The online service is woeful, instead of three working days to answer my query it took three weeks! and thats because I sent two more emails. The email I did finally receive was curt and unfriendly and did nothing to assist me. I will never buy a sunbeam product again this is not due to the product being faulty but the service (if you can call it that) I received....
It was great at first
it shorted out, and Sunbeam service is woeful

An appliance the whole family will love!
I just love this little appliance! Purchased a few weeks ago to replace a milk frother that stopped heating the milk (Aldi), this not only lives up to my expectations of such an appliance, it far surpasses them! It creates thick, delicious froth from whole or light milk for my husband's coffee, and using a different button, it heats milk for the kids' (and my!) hot chocolate - it can also put a nice froth onto those hot chocolates, if preferred. Even better, this machine also mixes in the chocolate powder as it heats the milk. Making a drink is...Read more
so simple and easy: just pour in the milk, add a sachet of drinking chocolate, put the lid on and push the middle button. The milk goes into a jug (which holds enough milk for a mug-full) and this jug sits on a neat and attactive separate base. On the base, there is also a third button for mixing iced coffee. I particularly love that the jug is so very simple to clean; the non-stick coating ensures that nothing sticks to the inside of the jug, and drinks pour out easily - I keep a small silicone spatula handy to scrape out all the froth each time, for maximum drink enjoyment! There is a little disc to pop into the bottom of the jug for frothing, and another for mixing (both of which store underneath the appliance magnetically), but I have found great success by using the frothing disc for both the milk to top coffees and our hot chocolate drinks. These discs are easy to interchange (the first few times, they were a little difficult to remove, but that might have been my technique) and very easy to clean. The temperature of the hot chocolates is just right, so with one of these machines in the kitchen, families will enjoy the cosy benefits of winter, and the frothing ability will suit coffee lovers year-round! It makes wonderful drinks and froth. A four minute interval is necessary between making each drink, so making cups for an average family of four takes a while.Similar opinion? The handle broke after 1 year.
I was given this for Christmas last year. It is awesome. It effortlessly makes frothy milk (use full cream) perfect for Cappuccinos or Hot chocolate. It's much cleaner, easier and reliable than any of the steam based machines. I cannot rate this machine highly enough. I only have one negative comment... the handle on the cup broke exactly 13 months after I got the machine (ie. out of warranty). I'm very disappointed, because it looks like the plastic in the handle has fallen apart because of the heat of the machine - poor design / model fault. ...Read more
I can still use it, and still do. But now I need a tea towel handy to grip the hot cup to pour my frothy milk. Easy, Clean, Reliable Handle broke because of what looks like poor design exactly one month after warranty5 comments

This awesome machine is a little ripper!
If you wish you could make gorgeous cappacino's, hot chocolate at home just like you buy at your favourite cafe then you will love this little beauty of a machine. For ages I've been wishing something like this was on the market and now it is - thank you sunbeam. The sunbeam cafe creamy automatic milk frother does everything it claims to do. Beautiful thick peaks of froth. And the kids love my home made kiddiecino's!
Works a treat with full cream milk. Loads of beautiful thick white fluffy peaks of froth. Quick and simple to use. You can prepare your coffee while the milk frother froths the milk.
It froths some milk better than others. Price is over the top for something so simple. Retails around $80. A realistic price is $40 - $50
