Terrible froth and terrible service!!!
For Christmas I was given 2 milk frothers; a sunbeam cafe creamy and a dualit milk frother. The dualit frother produces lovely thick froth for a perfect hot chocolate or cappuccino. In contrast, the sunbeam cafe creamy is totally disappointing. Yes it can heat milk and yes it can mix cold drinks (functions the dualit can also do) but the froth function is terrible (and yes, I am using the correct attachment). The froth that it produces is so light and airy its really just air bubbles. And the rest of the milk is just plain hot milk (not at all ...Read more
aerated). I've tried it multiple times with different milk levels and it makes no real difference. If the milk level is near the minimum it produces a reasonable amount of very airy froth, if the milk level is near the max line virtually no froth is produced at all. Overall, the cafe creamy is highly disappointing. I would not hesitate to return it for a refund if it weren't for the fact that it was a gift and I don't want to embarrass the giver by asking for the receipt for a terrible present! When I realised I had 2 frothers I thought id keep one in the cupboard to use when the other reached the end of its life but I won't waste the storage space on cafe creamy so I guess I'll just throw it in the bin. What a waste! I emailed sunbeam and was told I would receive a response within 3 business days. It has now been three weeks and I have not heard a thing (even though I sent a follow up email).

Cooling Time An Issue
My partner and I like our mugs of coffee. I was enjoying mine - milk a perfect temp, whisked just right BUT without a word of a lie, we had to wait 10 minutes for the machine to cool down for the next cup! We were using normal milk, waited 5 minutes initially just to make sure before we tried to use it again and we had not overfilled or underfilled the jug. Had it for less than 24 hours. Very disappointed Sunbeam!

Best thing I ever bought
I love my coffee. At first I was just buying the cafe made flat whites - but when I bought my Sunbeam - I have to say it I now prefer my own coffee. Combined with a plunger to make the coffee and the Sunbeam to heat and froth the milk - it is just amazing. Took a while to get just the right blend of coffee but now the taste and frothed milk are superb. Thinking of buying another 2 - one for a friend and another for me in case mine packs up. I've used it at least once a day for over 2 years now and it's still going strong.

Lasts as long as the warranty
Inconsistent results with a poor life span
I liked this product but cmon SUNBEAM this is a joke
I will never buy another sunbeam product
When they can't make this product last, it's a simple design which has been around for decades
This machine should last a lifetime but by using poor quality components it doesn't
If you buy one MAKE SURE YOU BREAK IT WITHIN WARRANTY AND GET A NEW ONE REPEAT THIS PROCESS YEARLY

Could whisk it better
This product was freebie with the purchase of a capsule machine, normal price $69.95. Café Creamy Frother
The product is small a takes little bench space. It is not complicated, being a jug with a spinning disk located at the bottom. You can froth or blend, either hot or cold. And it easy to wash.
Both the blending and the frothing action produce foam in milk, just a larger amount with the frothing feature. There is no comparison to the texture of milk made using this machine to using a steam wand. This produces warm milk and froth, not a...Read more
combined textured product. It automatically turns itself off when it has completed the frothing/blending, and takes about 4 mins before it resets itself to be able to be used again. The jug holds 250ml. Apart from the texture the machine heats the milk to only 60 degrees, several degrees lower than the normal 65-70 most latte/cappuccinos are made to. Free it was a good deal.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Bought one for Mum, picked up one myself the following week
This is a top notch product. I can only comment on hot drinks both coffee and hot Milo and for both of those, I haven't tasted better if compared to a coffee shop or high priced machine. Aparently, it is also good for fluffing up cold milk drinks say for an iced Coffee. Yet to try, but if the hot drinks are an example, can not see why it would not be spot on.
The positives apart from it working are. The cup sits inside a heating element (which is actually the base) thus allowing for easy cleaning. It is fast, have not timed but I estimate betw...Read more

disappointing for nearly $80
I bought this a week or 2 back, and have used it most days once or twice max - i haven't had to wait for it to cool down to use again. The first time I used it I filled it to about halfway between min and max, and used the froth button. there was so much froth that when I poured it into the glass there wasn't much liquid compared to froth. So that was annoying having to stir the coffee through the froth until it blended. Next time I used it I put milk in near max and it was still quite frothy. I wanted to make a latte which should only have ab...Read more
out 10mm of froth on top, so tried to add the coffee in with the milk using the "mixer" piece and used that function, which came out much better with a good amount of froth. I have since found that its beginning to froth less the more I use it that way so I went back to the "froth" button and when I poured it into the same mug I've been using for the "large" coffee, it didn't even come up to the top of the mug. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone because it's too inconsistent. I am hoping that with my receipt I will be able to return it to the store I bought it from because its just not working the way it should be.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

good machine, but doesn't last long
Over the last five years I have purchased 4 of these machines. They work really well, but months down the track the base just does not work. Have returned 2 of these to the store of purchase. Sunbeam need to look at this problem as another base has just gone on my machine. No lights no power! I look after this machine as the manual states to no avail!!! Looking for another better brand.

Great to start with
I've bought 2 of these machines and they both ended up the same way. Both stopped working properly after a few uses. I've always taken proper care according to the manual and for some reason it still dies. It will heat the milk but not froth it. Considering it's an $80 purchase it's not worth the time or money. Thankfully this time I kept the receipt. Hopefully I can return it and get a replacement that will more than likely die yet again.

Compact and easy to clean - Heating element dies after 12 Months
Have been using this Milk Frother for 12 Months. It certainly is a little noisy at times, but that can be overlooked. The jug is easy to clean compared to others in the market, and having a heating element across the whole base of the jug, rather than in one corner helps to prevent the milk burning and sticking (as I am sure many Nespresso owners will understand) It makes enough milk for 2 coffees so is ideal for 2 people, no more. Occasionally the heater fails to get the milk up to a sufficient temperature and the microwave has to be used. Sad...Read more
ly 5 days out of the 12 month warranty, the heating element has finally given in and we are once again left without a coffee in the morning. Overall, I think this is quite an expensive unit, given that it will only give you a single year of service. I would love to recommend this, but having to repurchase one every year just isn't something you should have to go through.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

A great milk frother for two people while it lasts
Great frothed milk! Could be frustrating if using it for more than two people due to the cool-down time, but perfect for one large or two small hot chocs/coffees. And easy to clean.
I dropped mine from chest height after having it 1 week. The cup dented so the lid wouldn't fit, but I can hammer that out. However, the internals broke so that it would not mix, heat or froth! Easily broken goods are such a waste of money, materials and landfill, so it was pretty annoying. However, Sunbeam say they are sending me a replacement cup free of charge...Read more
which has lessened my frustration. So, perfect for what it does... IF it doesn't break. UPDATE: It's performance becomes more variable and louder with time. Sometimes doesn't froth or heat the milk enough. Still worth trying, but if you use it a lot, you'll probably want to upgrade.1 comment

Gift from a friend, would not buy one.
Takes forever to finish cycle, at least 5 minutes, froths fairly ok, but is very noisy. After owning a delonghi one before, I am very disappointed in this proeduct.

OK Milk Frother
I have owned this milk frother for about 2 years. It has consistently produced good frothy milk, and has suited me OK. However, the handle broke after the first year, and now, the heating element has started to lose it heating ability. The other downside is that after you have frothed/heated milk, you have to wait a while for the machine to cool down if you want to froth again. This is painful if you are making more than 2 coffees.

Does not work properly
After a series of other brand milk frothers that did not work properly, I decided on the Sunbeam. It has a large capacity cup and is very easy to clean. It froths the milk very well, but unfortunately it does not really heat it up very well. I always have to heat it in the microwave for an additional 20 seconds. You also can't make coffee for a large group in short succession, as the machine need to cool down for 4 minutes (or longer), before you can use it again. Not impressed!
Capacity, froths nicely
Does not heat milk properly, wait time after use.

Not impressed...
Bought my product today with promise from the sales girl that we'd have hot, frothy milk in a short few minutes. Just tried making hot chocolate for the kids. It frothed ok but the temp would be best described as barely warm. I tried again after waiting 4 mins and reheated the first lot and got it slightly warmer but really?? what's the point if it takes so long? I would appreciate your feedback Sunbeam as I now have to travel an hour back to the store if I want to return it. Very disappointed!!
Expensive for what it actually produces..

Disappointing result
Was looking foprward to am easy tio use milk forther. Unfortinately the Sunbeam milk frother does not deliver the forthiest milk preferred. The instructions are not easy to follow and only trial and error usage produced a partial result. The mixing and frothjkng tools provided were diffecult ti remove from the warming container
Compact size and easy to clean. Warms milk adequately.
Failed to produce sufficiently frothy milk. Tools provided are not easily removed from container.

Fine until it started a fire from inside.
I've used the item about 5 times when I first got it and it has been sitting in a cupboard until this week when I started using it again. It overflowed, I cleaned it up then it caught on fire. Lucky I was standing close or my kitchen would have caught on fire!
Frothed milk

Does the job, not as good as using an Expresso milk frother.
It does the job to a point. To be honest it's not anything like using an Expresso's milk frother.
Positives- Very easy to clean, compared to others. Simple to use.
Negatives- Quite expensive for what it is. Milk is never hot enough until you put boiling water in cup first to warm it up. Having to wait 4 mins or so to cool down before doing your next cup. Very annoying when you need to make several cups. Lastly the end product the milk is either too frothy when using full cream milk or not enough when using skim/ lite milk. I don't think I would bother getting another one when it breaks down. Joanne Brisbane Qld

Whizzo for two
Great little compact 2 cup frother. Good stiff foam on all milks with 2% fat or more. Quick and easy to use. Ideal for two people. Using it three to four times every day. I use it in conjunction with my stove top espresso kettle. A match made in coffee heaven.
Compact unit. Jug rinses under the tap. No need to place in dishwasher.
It's a bit noisy but I don't mind that. I know when it has finished without having to stand and watch it.

So far so good!
I bought this a few weeks ago from Target at 20% Off and use it 3 or 4 times a day - it seems to do the job fine. I use it to make milk for latte and hot chocolate for the kids. The milk is hot and its easy to clean. Hopefully it will last longer than some of the others that have been reviewed.
Does what it says
Nothing so far

Hope your's lasts better than mine. Handle fell off just outside of warranty period. I suspect it didn't like the dishwasher.
UPDATE - Still working after 2 years but I have noticed you have to wait until its cooled before using again - I'm sure that didn't happen when I bought it new but can't be sure to be honest.
